Ed was professional, courteous, quick and friendly. He is also the owner of this company. Ed did 9 rekeys in our home. Compared with 3 others companies and his price was the best.

The man who came out was fantastic. He did three handle locks and two deadbolts.

They quickly responded to my request to have my whole house re-keyed. Kevin was done adding an additional deadbolt and re-keying my whole house within an hour. Fast, very friendly, responsive and reasonably price!

We bought a new house that had been on the market for quite some time so we knew we needed to change all of the locks. Ed was fantastic from the first moment I called. He gave me a firm quote that was much less than I was expecting. He was ready to come as soon as we hung up! As my husband and I were both at work and I wasn't sure of my husband's schedule, he called Ed back and made arrangements to meet at the house that afternoon. Ed was super prompt and did a great and speedy job. I had actually miscounted the number of deadbolts and he didn't miss a beat. Not only that but the price only went up $10.00 (from $125 to $135) for the extra lock! When he was finished, Ed asked how many copies we needed of the key and didn't flinch when we asked for 8. This was a great transaction and we have definitely added Ed to our contacts in case we ever need a locksmith. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

The issue was that our front door deadbolt was stuck in the door and broken, so we could not open the front door. This happened on a Friday evening and since this was not an emergency did not want to pay the exorbitant weekend rates. However I called a few numbers from Angie's List and left VMs more in hope that someone may be working on Saturday. Ed from Raleigh Locksmiths returned my call, first thing Monday morning at 8:00 AM and came to my house, fixed my issue by replacing the broken lever in the lock in under 20 minutes and left. I am pretty satisfied at his promptness and service. He charged my $95.00 and I don't know if that is reasonable or not but I am good with the amount and no complaints.

Ed came to the door with tools in hand, reviewed the changes, and installed the new locks and matched our key requirements. He asked what else he could do and went on his way. A smile, attentive and professional!! I'll use him again.

I was quoted $110 for three locks to be changed. The technician arrived very promptly and noted that one of the doors had a dead bolt so that counted as 2 locks. He still only charged the $110 that was originally quoted and gave me 4 keys. I was very happy with the service.

Perfectly.. I called at 4:30 - he arrived at 5:30. Kevin had the old lock out and the new one in - in less then 5 minutes. He took an extra few minutes to move the old latch to ensure a proper fit. Prior to that, the door never closed tightly leaving it vulnerable to break in. I was very impressed with his professionalism and work eithic at such a young age. Ed called back within five minutes as advertised. He said he could come by in an hour but was there in half an hour. He got right to fixing a dead bolt, replacing a brass knob with one he had on the truck, and fixing another door so it latched properly. Some of the best service I have had from a locksmith. All the work was done beautifully and he was out the door within a half hour. Plus he told me how to easily fix another door, saving me money, instead of doing the job himself. Could not have been more pleasant to deal with. He charged me $110 for all the work and two other locksmiths had quoted me $165 and up over the phone. I won't hesitate to use Ed or his son Kevin again. Highly recommend!

The situation: moving into a house, right after the closing. Kevin told me ahead of time that I should buy the new locks myself to save money, instead of having him supply them. How considerate! He was supposed to be there at 3 PM, but we ran late, so the new locks were still in my car on the other side of town . He came early because he was in the neighborhood, and he did what he could without the locks. (My husband and son were already there.) He even pitched in to help my husband fix a door while he waited for the locks! He was professional, polite, efficient, patient, and did a fine job. He gave us the keys we wanted. There was so much confusion on moving day (people coming and going, the usual moving experiences) that Kevin forgot some of his tools when he left. My husband called him, and he told us where to leave them outside (so he wouldn't put us to any trouble when he came back). I wouldn't hesitate to call him again or recommend him. FIrst rate.

The lock on one of my doors jammed and the door would not open. After consulting Angies List I decided to call Raleigh Locksmith Service. I spoke to Ed Walters Monday morning and he told me he was working on a large project at another job site and could get to my home Tuesday. He did better than that. Ed actually took time to come to my home Monday afternoon. He replaced the lock the less than 15 minutes. He was quick, professional, courteous, and friendly. I would definitely use Raleigh Locksmith Service again, and I highly recommend this business.

Kevin had to remove five sets of deadbolt locks, key each of them to my current key which I didn't wish to change, and then put the new deadbolt locks into five doors. Two of the doors were very hard to open in certain weather, as the deadbolt would hit the strikeplate, - you had to lift the door up to lock or unlock the deadbolt. Kevin did a wonderful job fixing the strike plate on these two doors so that should never be a problem again. He worked on them until he got them moving very smoothly. He said if I had a problem with change in weather, just call him back and he would adjust them again. All the new key sets work well, and the two that were the worst problem are so easy to open and close it is a huge improvement. He also switched a lock on my patio door storm door that was always coming loose - I have another identical door on the patio we do not use and he just switched the two of them. He needed various tools to do the job right, but he had them all in his truck. He was very friendly and a pleasure to chat with - and he could work while he talked! I would not hesitate to have him come back should we have more lock work in the future.

AMAZING! I only wish Ed did other things besides locks. Thanks to the discount from Angie's List and a discount Ed gave us, we got (5) sets of new keys and every lock in our new home was re-keyed for our safety. Ed was courteous and on-time and seemed like a generally wonderful person. He received several calls while at our home and treated every customer wonderfully. I would highly recommend Ed and the services Raleigh Locksmith provides.

I had to re-schedule due to my closing being postponed. Kevin did not moan and groan about the change and pleasantly rescheduled me for just two days later with a positive attitude. Kevin arrived a few minutes early. I had to juggle him with another contractor, but he was patient and asked only necessary questions. He didn't have what he needed on his truck, so he went to get it. When he returned, it was clear that he did not get lost by going to the hardware store (i.e. he returned expeditiously). Kevin was not sure that he could reprogram the twenty-year-old(?) combination lock, but once he got a better look at it, he exclaimed, " oh yeah, I can do this for you". Also, he wasn't sure that he could make a double cylinder deadbolt work with the combo lock (due to their close proximity and large hole in the door). However, with some creative fiddling, he made that work, too. Everything he did worked perfectly the first time. He didn't spend a lot of time scratching his head, calling for support, and/or proposing inappropriate hacks. There's no way that anyone would not like working with Kevin. He's energetic, enthusiastic, competent, honest, accommodating, efficient, confident, and is nicely social. So, it's very refreshing to work with him. He made me think, " I wonder what else can he do around here?"

Ed was a dream to work with. Scheduling was quick and painless. Showed up the next day early for my appointment which was fine by me! Explained the process, how to change out the inner handle if I wanted to in the future, and also was nice enough to give recommendations as well. Overall it was a great experience and I will be using Ed for my locksmith work from now on.

Eddie was not only punctual but was 20 minutes early! I thought that was fantastic. He was in and out within 30 minutes and even took the time to explain how window locks on old windows work and how you can tell if they are in the lock or unlock position. Next time you need a locksmith that has been doing this for 20+ years and is very professional I would call Eddie right away!

We had him redo all the locks in our home. He was absolutely terrific.

It went very well. Eddie was very informative as to why the problem occurred in the first place, and what could be done about it in the future.

They were out the next day. They were prompt, pleasant and got the work done quickly. I was quite pleased with their work.

Called before arrival. Arrived at exact time he said he would arrive. Went to work immediately after I told him what I wanted done. Saved the old lock and keys and gave them to me. VERY efficient. Came on Saturday to accommodate me. Did not charge extra for Saturday service call. I used an Angie's List 15% off coupon. Great job.

The guy at Raleigh Locksmith Service was a sweetheart. He gave me a discount for being on Angie's List. I called him at about 6 on Friday and he came on Saturday morning. He wanted to come on Friday itself but it was not an emergency so I asked him to come on Saturday. He came out and he was great. He was initially just going to repair but the lock was old so he gave us options and then gave us a choice and my husband picked the locks that he wanted and he replaced himself. He cleaned up after himself and he was down on his hands and knees trying to remove something that he had spilled something on the floor but I told him I had a vacuum cleaner and would do it. He was very punctual, he was sitting in my drive way 3 minutes before and knocked on the door exactly on time.

I talked to Ed about my problem, and he told me to buy the same brand and he'd be happy to install it. I didn't want to try it myself because I knew the new updated handset was slightly different and might require drilling in my front door. I didn't want to drill myself, fearing I might damage the door and have a much larger problem. I called Ed after buying the new handset, and he was over in less than an hour. Installation did require some minor drilling. Ed did everything lightning fast, explaining to me what he was doing, and saving old the old parts that I might be able to use. The new handset needed rekeying so that I was able to use my old key, which he took care of. I also asked him if there was an easy way to open an old personal safe with a key broken in the lock. He opened it quickly using the stuck key and a screwdriver - for free. Finally, he was also extremely cordial as well as professional. I highly recommend him.

I called Mr. Walters and he set up an appointment to suit my schedule. He was prompt, professional, and pleasant to work with. He was also extremely fast! I appreciated that he showed me how to re-set the garage door openers by myself. I plan to call him back to do some additional work soon.
