+ -1 moreHighly recommend Raleigh Door Center for restoration work. They are true craftsmen and take great pride in the work they do. We were intent on doing this job the right way, the first time, after the doors had suffered years of neglect from prior owners. We had Raleigh Door Center do a full restoration on the doors and frame, with 16 panes of new glass and new hardware. The old panels were badly cracked, so they sourced mahogany and built new replacement panels. The result is incredible. Our doors look better than new!
Description of Work: We had our mahogany front doors restored -- sanding down to bare wood, building new panels to replace cracked ones, restaining doors/frame/transom, new hardware, new glass.

+ -1 moreWe were very pleased with the outcome. Our front door looks amazing! The two workmen knew exactly what to do and we could tell they had a lot of experience with any details they encountered. I will definitely hire again.
Description of Work: We had our wood front door refinished, the threshold replaced and new weatherstripping to seal gaps. The company also refinished another outside wood door and refreshed another outside wood door.

+ -1 moreMr. Jim Murray responded immediately and took measurements of the door the next morning. He completed the work within a week while other contractors were giving estimates of 2-8 weeks. The work was done professionally and at a fair price. I will definitely recommend Raleigh Door Center to my family and friends.

Description of Work: Awful - no communication at all. Way behind schedule. We refused to work with him further and contacted our attorney to get our money back. We spoke with several other customers of Jim Murray - none where happy with his communication or responsiveness.

+ -1 moreThis company has an office in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I needed a new steel door to replace the existing door to a building. I contacted this vendor to see the building and door and provide an estimate. The salesman did not show up on time for his appointment. When I contacted the company to see what happened, the company found the salesman, and eventually sent him to see the door. The sales prepared a cost estimate for only the materials, and never included the labor estimate for the installation of the door. I contacted the salesman by email and telephone, and he couldn't be bothered to send the labor cost estimate. no one else in the company seemed to know what was going on. To say the least, this job would have been very easy for professionals. would not recommend this company... They are extremely unreliable, unprofessional, and the salesman did not seem to know anything about door replacement. This one is a NO-GO.

In May 2012, I needed a standard size Steel door to replace the existing door to a building. I contacted this company to provide a cost estimate to replace the door. The cost estimate was to include labor and all materials to do the job.

+ -1 moreThey have good communication, they're great to work with, and very responsive to what we were looking for. They saved us a lot of money compared to other contractors, instead of replacing the whole unit they repaired parts of it.
