I should note that this provider is not within close proximity to my home so that is the primary reason I would not use again. The provider's office is kind of shabby looking but if you're looking for small engine or power equipment repair you're not likely going to be swayed by that sort of thing. The man that waited on me was the owner and I believe one of his employees just quit so he was rather overwhelmed. This was likely the reason I waited longer than promised for the quote on the chainsaw. I cannot speak to his actual ability on repairs as he recommended I not repair the chainsaw (it was quite old & in a lot of disrepair) as it would be more costly to repair than to purchase a new one. All in all, a good guy w/ a good business. If I lived in the area I would consider him again. The estimate itself was ~ $35.

Took in my chainsaw for repair on June 23, 2016. Was told it would take 3 weeks to repair. Checked back in person at three weeks and was told it would be another week and they would call. Went back after 7 weeks and chainsaw was still not ready. They offered to return my deposit, if I wanted to take my chainsaw somewhere else, which I did. Note: At first they could not fine my chainsaw, because it was at the bottom of a pile of equipment waiting to be repaired.

Have used this shop several times for sharpening services. I now have a Toro Timemaster which is a dual bade mower. I removed the blade and took it by the shop, and the tech on duty offered to sharpen it while I waited. So I shopped in the hardware store for about 10 mins and then picked up the blade. Nice clean edge and I tested them this afternoon to confirm balance. Everything as expected. Only aggravation is that now there is tax charged for this service, but that certainly isn't the fault of this shop! I will be using them again in the future.

Service was great. They have a friendly person to handle the equipment drop off. I asked to be called about the cost to repair whatever was making the unusual noise that we were hearing. They did call and indicated that the problem was minor. Got the mower back the next day. Could not have asked for a better experience. I will definitely use them for service in the future.

I have a DR brush mower and when I removed the blade to flip to a new cutting surface this weekend (it's a dual surface blade), I could not replace the nut that I had removed. The threads on the upper 1/2" of the spindle assembly were worn/damaged by the removal process. I purchased a new lock nut and tried to get it threaded but no luck. I stopped by Precision Outdoor Power Equipment (POPE) and asked if they could get the nut started with their impact wrench. The tech worked with it a bit but he also could not get it to thread. So, he suggested re-threading the spindle to clean up the threads. For some reason, I had not even considered this as an option so I am glad that he suggested it. The shaft was a 5/8" - 18 size, and POPE didn't have a die that size, so they stepped into the hardware store next door and bought one. A few mins later, the spindle threads were cleaned up and the bolt was reinstalled. The charge seemed a bit high at $25, but considering the die was $19 I guess it's not so bad overall (although I didn't get to keep the die!). Tech was courteous and was able to look at the mower deck when I brought it in, so that was greatly appreciated since I needed to use it the day it was repaired. Good overall service.

Turned in mower on a Monday and was not told how long it would take saying they would call me. After a week I called and was told they had a 3 week backlog. I was told to call back at the end of two weeks and they would have a better idea. When I called at the end of two weeks, I was told it wouldn't be fair for me to get mine earlier. It was EXACTLY 3 weeks to the day that I got the call to pick up my mower. The cost seems high to install a cord and do general maintenance. Charge of $12 for shop supplies- what is that for? When I got home, I noticed that one of the front wheels had chipped off and wondered why they didn't bother to call and suggest I replace those especially if it chipped off while in their possession. I will most certainly do that repair myself.

I bought a Tanaka string trimmer. Jeff filled it with gas, showed me how to run it, recommended some engineered fuel and provided me a tip about keeping the string supple and not brittle. I have used him before to repair the old string trimmer and i find him very nice, knowledgeable and professional, He also does not condescend to me because I am a woman which I really appreciate because I have gotten that treatment at other places like this (eg Right of Way). This string trimmer has a 7 yr warranty and all the warranty work can be done there. Its just so nice to have someone explain the machine to me, tell me how to take care of it and then will service it too. Just a great little shop and courteous, knowledgeable staff.

The technicians who were working on the Saturday that I brought my mower in to Precision Outdoor Power Equipment (POPE) did a great job. I had had to have a friend from across town come to my aid to help me transport the lawn mower from my home to POPE. There were no repairs that needed to me made -- just maintenance issues of a mower that hadn't been used for a couple of years. I asked the technicians if they had a service that could deliver the mower back to my home after the maintenance was completed, so that I would not have to ask my friend to drive across town again to help me retrieve the mower. They didn't have such a service, but they proposed that even though their regular business schedule would require a few days for the maintenance, they might be able to handle the job in a few hours that day so that we could take the mower with us the same day. Wow! What a help that was. My friend and I went to lunch, waiting for POPE's call to let us know if they had been able to get all required maintenance done. POPE called us in less than 2 hours. Everything was finished, and we were able to get the mower back the same day. This quick turnaround wasn't a service that I asked for. It was beyond expectation but was very much appreciated! I have seldom had a business to go out of their way to offer such help. I would have come back in following Wednesday, as they had originally scheduled the completion of the repairs. But I truly appreciate that they heard my needs, and where they could, they stepped up to the plate to provide a "We-Will-Go-Out-Of-Our-Way-To-Do-It-For-You" business focus. I will certainly be working with them again. I was pleased to see these young technicians invested in going beyond the standard to make POPE outstanding.

Everything went as promised. Lawnmower was working perfectly when I went to pick it up. I didn't even recognize it when I went to get it because it was so clean. Ran just like it was new out the box. Great service. I would go back again for any sort of small engine repair.

Yesterday in trying to beat the rain and cut my grass, I hit a metal rod holding a landscaping rail and broke the flywheel key in my mower. PRECISION OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT was the only repair shop willing to help me with this repair considering that I had a replacement key, had removed the housing and all that was needed to be done was pop the flywheel off the shaft. I called early Saturday morning and spoke to them and was told to come in and they would pull the flywheel for me at no charge. This is a 2 minute job at most. This is in contrast to every other local lawnmower repair shop I talked with in and near Cary; each of these wanted to keep the mower 2-4 days and charge upwards of $30 for the job.. It actually took me much longer to drive to PRECISION OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT than to have the flywheel pulled. They were true to their word but did take $5.00 for the job. Although I do the vast majority of my own servicing and work on my small engine power tools, I would not hesitate to take anything I could not repair to PRECISION OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT. Based on my interactions with them, I would recommend them to any one who requires service to their lawnmower or other small power equipment.

The blade engagement cable broke on my lawnmower, so after consulting Angie's List, I saw this provider had a special for a lawnmower tune-up and sharpening. I knew the repair would add to the bill, but it was reasonable, and the repair was done properly. The machine was cleaned off (at other places, you wonder how they did the work without disturbing the old grass etc. on the mower deck). It took about 5 days, mostly because the replacement cable had to be ordered. Also, due to the fact that they do quality work, they have quite a backlog. The mower now works so well, I have to run to keep up with it. :D Just kidding, but it runs like a champ, and cuts like a razor. I've lived in the Triangle for about 7 years, and I've found my go to small engine repair shop.

I have reviewed this shop several times before. Overall I am pleased with this recent svc. I went in on a Saturday around noon and they were able to do the work while I waited. I had already removed the blades from the Honda mower but as noted above, I had to have them remove the blade on the DR mower deck using an impact wrench. The tech that I worked with was pleasant and efficient. Overall the service went well. The pricing was $14 for the blade that they had to remove, and $7.50 each for the blades on the Honda mower.

I will them that they did a good job. They were very businesslike, they call you when it was ready, and they helped me to load and unload the equipment from my car as I expect it.

The guys were professional yet very personable. They didn't rush me as I explained the issues I was experiencing. Very nice/friendly guys. I dropped the generator off, and the work was performed within a week. I was expecting a higher bill, so was very pleasantly surprised. I will definitely use them again if/when the need arises!

I brought my Stihl gas trimmer to Precision Outdoor Power Equipment to have a gas filter replaced. I had gotten the old one off but was unable to attach the new filter to the gas line. I assumed that I would have to leave my trimmer for repair which was fine....but the gentleman, on the spot, fixed my problem and only charged me a small cost for service. I am so glad that I have found a reputable outdoor equipment repair service and will use them again. I will also not hesitate to recommend this business to anyone who needs their services. tThe blower I took to them is about 8 years old. It had never been serviced since new. Last year it was very hard to start & ran poorly when I could get it started. This year it wouldn't start at all. There were times that old gas was left in the carb/tank for many months, so the ethanol likely built up & caused much of my issues. Took the blower to Precision, they had it for about three weeks & I picked it up last Friday. Took it home & it runs like it did when it was brand new. They take a $20 deposit when you drop something off & you pay the balance when the job is done. So for a total of $47 I have what works like a brand new machine again.

You have to take equipment to them. That's fine. But the results were NOT. The price was what they quoted. They performed the work, as quoted. Unfortunately, though the generator ran, when they were done with it, they had (1) broken the gas tank, such that it leaked all over the engine while running, and (2) the generator ran rough. Further repair (by another provider) led me to discover that the carburetor was never cleaned out. I can NOT recommend this provider. Sure, it ran when I got it home. But it was worthless in that state. I found another provider to repair it, since I did not want to throw more money at it with a low chance of having the problem resolved. No thanks!!

Better than I expected, the only hard part was finding them! I will definitely go back there with my lawn mower in the future. Everyone was nice, the mower was done before they said it would be, they called me to let me know, they were professional and gave me some idea of what it would come to, and their pricing was reasonable!
