Dealing with the local staff at the office on Tryon Rd was very pleasant. They were knowledgeable in the subject matter, and presented all the pros and cons of each type and style of mailbox system that they sell. They weren't pushy and certainly didn't try to sell me something that I didn't want. Very patient overall and seemed like they wanted to answer all our questions. I stopped by during lunch, and my wife joined me there a day or so later and we made the final decisions on style and color. Turns out that the box we wanted had to be ordered, so we placed the order, talked about the details, and we were done in about 30 mins. Two issues came up that I feel are worth pointing out. First, we ordered just before the Thanksgiving holidays, and the store staff told us that it would be and quot;about a weekand quot; to get the box in. After 1.5 weeks, I had not heard from them, so I placed a call. At that point I was told that it would be another few days and sure enough, the box came in after roughly two weeks. I didn't mind this, and I wasn't in any hurry, but I would have preferred to been quoted the longer time up front or at least received a phone call once the first week had passed and it became clear there was a delay. Minor point, but it's a $500 mailbox, so probably not too much to expect! Second issue - I stated during the order process that I wanted to be present during install to confirm placement, etc. The staff said that they would write it on the order form for the installer to call me prior to arrival. Once the unit was delayed beyond the initially promised delivery date, I told the store that I would be out of town on 12/15 and asked that we bump the install to the following week (they only install on Saturdays it seems). So, as luck would have it, on 12/15 at 0830 I get a call from the installer. He's on the way to do the install. I'm 400 miles away and frantically call him back (getting VM) to try to delay the install. I finally reached him, and the install was delayed until the following week, but I think it's worth pointing out because I was very clear with the staff regarding dates when I would/would not be available. Both these issues are minor in nature and they would not prevent me from ordering another mailbox from this company, but I list them here so that others can be aware during the ordering process in case you run into similar problems. Also - I rated a 'B' on pricing because the pricing in the showroom was out of date on the model that I selected, and when they called the mfg to confirm, it turned out to be higher than displayed on the outdated material available in the showroom The staff said that the model that I selected had low demand overall and they just hadn't sold many lately. That's a reasonable excuse, but it was still a bit aggravating to see it priced at price A and finding out during ordering that the 'actual price' was about 10% higher than price A. I still wanted to box so I bought it anyway. Overall, my experience was GOOD with this company and I recommend them. I would do business with them again under similar circumstances.
