I contacted Ron via phone and sent my design (used a picture of a barstool) by fax June 12. Was unable to meet with him until end of June. He was going on vacation but said that he would have plans and would get in touch with my countertop contractor to get any special needs for the type of countertop (acrylic) that I was having installed when he got back (July 9). Quoted between $200 and $250. The contractor for the countertops would begin work on July 16. On July 10, I hadn't seen plans (not that there really needed to be any since it was like barstool legs), but my countertop contractor hadn't heard from Ron either. I contacted Ron. Again, I didn't hear from Ron and my contractor had removed my countertops. When I contacted him on July 18, telling him that the countertops were to be installed the next day, he told me that he could 'slap' something together and it would be ready by 9 or 9:30 - would that be OK. When the base arrived, the paint was wet and the legs were unpadded.
Description of Work: Base of a kitchen counter bar designed by me. Basically it was a frame made of four legs with cross bars 6" from the ground on two sides and 8" from the ground on the other two sides. The top was flat metal to brace the bar. The legs were to have some form of finish so that they would not mar the hardwood floor. It was to be painted flat black. The finished flat metal had been sanded so unevenly that the bar does not sit on it flat - obviously, it had been quickly finished just to get it there when it had been promised.
