They were great at communicating with us while we were negotiating the terms of the contract, but then after we signed on the dotted line, communication dropped off. They were slow to respond and often didn’t communicate at all. They rescheduled the job date without notice to us. The company did not even perform the terms of the contract which we had agreed upon—no gravel was put in the subgrade, the steel wire mesh was not installed, and backfill compacting was not done. Then, AFTER they said the work was complete, and I questioned why there was not gravel or mesh, they gave me a list of excuses for why they didn’t do what the contract called for! And, these are all changes they said they implemented without telling me or getting my input. They damaged the “undamaged” portion of my driveway when they pulled a concrete truck into my driveway instead of using a chute. They splattered concrete on my house and did not clean it. They left trash scattered across my yard. And when they finally returned to address SOME of my issues (they only came back when I refused to pay until they fixed their substandard work), they had to use MY tools to try and correct their mistakes. Even then, they didn’t get it right. In the end, I did not get what they promised. They installed a cheaper, lower quality product and then wanted me to pay the full price. They did not care that they left my driveway, yard and house in worse condition than when they arrived, or that they lied to me, or that they caused me a lot of stress and anxiety because they did not want to do the work I hired them to do.
