Fantastic. As well as a completely new look and feel to the area, it is now wheelchair accessible, which is important in a seniors-only area as this. In addition, we did the waterproofing both in front and in the back patio. Waterproofing takes two days in dry weather, but is well worth it. The stone and pavers look exceptional after being waterproofed and shed precipitation beautifully. Nicholas and his crew are extremely professional, reliable, and pay exquisite attention to detail in every phase of each project. I recommend them without reservation.

They performed a thorough analysis and were up front with the timing expectations. They were pushed back and let us know it would be a while to get to us. I appreciated their honesty on the timing expectation and on their prices. The owner, Nicolas, personally called when I canceled the deal which showed they really cared. I will consider using their service in the future.

Hired Nickolas and company to do a 10x20 patio, install a recessed area for my trash cans, and put in a drainage system on the side of the house. They were busy all summer, so I had to wait a bit for the install. They showed up on time and got right to work. Nickolas was easy to work with and explained things in detail as work progressed, and was quick to implement a couple of last minute changes that I made. Drains and paver prep was done in one day, but weather would not cooperate and it was a couple weeks before they could return. They wound up coming out on a Saturday to finish. Final product looks great! Nickolas was quick to answer questions and make suggestions on maintenance and upkeep, even a month after the install. These folks do a great job and put a lot of pride effort into doing the best job they can. I will use them in the future.

I met with Nicolas after purchasing an Angie's List Big Deal. It was immediately apparent that Nicolas was passionate about his work and very creative, with excellent problem solving skills. The work was scheduled for early fall. Nicolas & his business manager, Julie, came to the site to review the plans prior to the scheduled date. Nicolas & his crew arrived bright & early on the scheduled date & got right to work. It was a pleasure to watch such competent & dedicated people who enjoyed their work. Everything was explained & all my questions were answered. Nicholas took the time to listen to my concerns about drainage & came up with several possible solutions. We agreed on an approach and he was able to complete the work while installing the patio. I'm almost looking forward to rain! The crew was great, they knew exactly what to do, how to do it well, & they worked nonstop. They also took the time to thoroughly clean up, not just the work site but the street as well. They were also very observant and noticed a potential problem related to the stabilization of the soil. Fortunately, a reasonable solution was possible and could be done without delaying the project or altering the plans. The patio is beautiful, and the walkway enhances the usage of the space very well. Nicolas, unlike many contractors, plans to follow up with me in a few weeks. It was a pleasure to work with Nicolas, Julie, & his crew.

After checking Angie's List I contacted Nicolas Hardscape & Drainage for an estimate of a paver pario. I sent them a redacted copy of an estimate I had just received from another contractor for the same job leaving off the contractors name and pricing; just the actual work to be performed.This company had previousely done a large patio and fire pit for me but I wanted to compare prices. Nicolas came and did the estimate; he was polite and courteous. By the time he left he had convinced me to just do the patio and not some of the extra work I had asked the first company to perform. That same afternoon Nicolas sent me an email with an estimate roughly $2865.00 more than the first companies estimate. I say roughly as he didn't break out the price for a small retaining wall he felt had to be installed. I subtracted $365.00 from his estimate just to be fair. So, comparing apples to apples, Nicholas price was $2500.00 more for the exact same job. I emailed him my concerns with the price difference and he called me the same day saying he would go over his figures again and call me back. He never called me and that was four days ago. I assume he doesn't wnat to do my job. This was a dissapointing encounter with a firm highly regarded on Angie's List.

Nicholas is as personable as he is professional. He responded quickly to our initial request, thoroughly explained our options and made informed recommendations. He was willing to work with us on the design and pricing. Unfortunately, he is in such high demand we had to wait a while to get the work done, but he and his crew showed up on the designated day ready to work. Too bad it started raining! Anyway, they did come back the next day and got to work and were very quick and professional. We weren't happy with the height of the walls, as we wanted to be able to sit on them, so they came back and redid them to our satisfaction. Nicholas is all about making the customer happy with his work and goes the extra mile to make that happen. I would not hesitate to hire Nicolas' Hardscapes & Drainage LLC again, and would recommend them to anyone in the market for this type of work.

We did this with an Angie's List Big Deal. Of course Isidro was very busy, but called the same day we signed up an scheduled an evaluation visit promptly. He explained what our options were and we developed a plan. There were many rain delays, so the date of completion was pushed back several times. They arrived on time the day we finally agreed upon. I asked for some further upgrades ( I wanted the downspouts extended to the edge of my yard. We got a quote right there and they completed that work at the same time. The work was beautiful and the drainage all performs flawlessly. A As with many contractors, they did try to change (expand) the scope of the project. We held firm and got the paver patio we wanted and better drainage was the extra we paid for.

Julie Moghadam of Nicolas Hardscape arrived on time for appointment to estimate my patio and had display pavers to help with my decision on materials. Installation was delayed due to inclement weather but eventually Nicolas was able to install the patio in two days. Due to some settling of the patio, he returned a few weeks later to correct the problem. I also had him install a sidewalk from the patio to my driveway at this time. Nicolas' team was very professional and stood behind the warranty on their work. Have already recommended Nicolas Hardscape to others.

Excellent. Nicolas and his crew arrived on time on Monday and installed the patio. It looks great. I will upload a picture in a few days. On Tuesday, Nicolas and crew arrived, but so did the thunder storms, so we agreed to delay 'til Wednesday. On Wednesday, they arrived early (7:15 am) and installed the walk way which is approximately 100 ft long. All the work was done and cleanup was excellent. I will upload some pictures in a few days.

Nicolas and his crew installed a beautiful paver patio in my back yard. I initially found them on Angie's List. When I contacted them, they were gracious enough to honor an Angie's List coupon which had recently expired. Even though I was told they were book up through December, Nicolas was willing to fit me in on a weekend in September. I was originally given an install date of September 21st, but his assistant, Julie, called on Sept 11th to say they could come out on the 12th. Nicolas was very professional and friendly. He and his crew arrived earlier on the 12th than I expected and finished by early afternoon on the 13th. Nicolas knew ahead of time that we intended to put a hot tub on the patio and he assured me that he would do what was necessary to prepare the ground underneath the pavers to support the weight of the hot tub. He and his crew worked quickly and efficiently to create a beautiful outdoor space for us allowing us to utilize more of our backyard than we had been able to do before. I highly recommend them to anyone.

As we were promised, Nicolas and his crew arrived on time for the scheduled job each day and worked with very little time taken for even a lunch break. On the first day, Nicolas went over the plans once again and gave us additional options on the hardscape to make sure of our final selection. His communication level was over the top! He always spoke with us as he approached the different areas, explaining what was taking place. If concerns came about, he would approach us with some options that could enhance the project along the way, allowing us to have that choice. Nicolas would also ask how we liked things so far, as they continued the job. Being able to see many steps of the work in progress, there is no doubt that Nicolas and his hard working crew love what they do and get pleasure out of seeing the finished product. Upon completion, we were so overwhelmed with the beauty that Nicolas and his great crew designed, we are in the process of planning our next project with them next year. Yes, we have to book now for next year. This company provides such professionalism and high recognition for a job well done, they stay booked for months. So, having patience to wait months to have our beautiful hardscape completed by Nicolas and all the guys was worth every dollar! We wear a BIG smile every time we are outside and see our new walkway and hardscapes. Thank you again, Nicolas, for an exceptional job so well done!!

We had an initial consultation with Nicholas after our first call. He came to our home and did a site survey with us and asked about our project ideas and what we wanted done. He brought product samples and made design suggestions during our initial meeting. His ideas were great and we were delighted to hear his suggestions and incorporated several into our project. When our scheduled service date was coming up, he called to remind us of our service dates and went over the entire process with us. Nicholas stopped by our home the weekend before our project started to confirm the details of everything we wanted...right down to the paver layout patterns, paver color, and the other project details. He let us know what to expect as far as his crew's schedule on-site and what we would have to work around during the process. Nicholas and his crew were at our home on time every day and were very friendly and professional. From day one, his crew worked quickly and carefully to demo and begin installation of our new patio. Every day his crew cleaned up the work site and carefully covered the project area so that weather (rain) did not impact our completion date. Each day Nicholas provided progress updates and even though it rained several nights of the project period, his preparations and care in covering everything prevented delays and not only did he finish our original project on time, he and his crew re-graded, expanded, corrected drainage and re-installed our second patio with the original bricks carefully removed from our old patio that he replaced. We now have two beautiful patios that make our outdoor living space functional and did I already say BEAUTIFUL. We would definitely recommend Nicholas' Hardscape and Drainage to our friends and as a matter of fact already have. We also would not hesitate to use Nicholas again. Nicolas did everything exactly as expected, and is very creative. We have a fairly steep grade at the back and have had drainage issues. He took all that into account and built a beautiful patio with berm walls and a fire pit. He also did as little damage as possible to the existing landscape considering the many tons of dirt and supplies that had to be brought in. They had to navigate our woods with their equipment and wheel-barrowed the rest. He listened to our ideas and made suggestions. I would definitely use them again.

We made contact with Nicolas in March when he had an "Angie's List BIG DEAL" for a paver patio. He and his business manager, Julie, arrived promptly on the next Saturday morning to work on our concept and generate an estimate. Nicholas understood exactly what we wanted and made some suggestions to reduce costs but remaining attractive. The only problem was that he was so busy he could not get to us until the week of July 29. As we found out, Nicolas is a hands-on craftsman who also takes pride in the work his team does, so they only do one project at a time. On July 29th, they arrived at 6:30AM, as they did everyday that week,working until 5:30 or 6:30PM. The crew consisted of Nicolas and three workers, Each one took pride in their work ... what a delight nowadays!! Nobody eyeballed anything. They used a transit, a level, and a tape measure to insure the patio sloped away from the house but not so much that you could see it. We had a 10 foot paver circle included in the patio and it looks marvelous. Nicolas laid out the circle himself to make sure everything was a tight fit. This is the way they approached everything, even mundane flower bed borders.. As with most projects, we made changes and additions once things got going in July. Nicolas was always willing to to do anything we suggested; and with his experience, he was willing to suggest modifications to our ideas. He was up front with us when something may be expensive and he would offer a less costly alternative or even suggest not doing it. When they were done each day, they neatly put things up. At the conclusion of the job they cleaned up every single thing. The only problem with the entire project was the grass on the side and rear of my townhouse took a beating by all the wheel-barrel traffic. I didn't evaluate "price" because, I didn't get other estimates, so there was no point of reference for me. However, I feel we got more than we paid for in this project. It wasn't cheap but Nicolas provides outstanding quality. We would recommend Nicolas Hardscapes to anybody.

We were so happy with Nicolas and his entire team - from start to finish the project went smoothly and we couldn't be happier with the results! The day we contacted them we heard back from someone almost immediately who confirmed the project we were interested in having done, and within a couple of hours more, we were contacted by Julie who helped oversee all of the details and coordination of the project. Julie was SO involved throughout the process and came to our home to discuss what we wanted and helped answer questions. Over the next few weeks, she was incredibly responsive in helping to form the concept for our patio and showing us some samples of what Nicolas has done which helped us to pick the color and look we wanted. They had to delay the project slightly due to the heavy rain this season, which isn't their fault, and they were constantly keeping us up to date on all important details. A few days before the project, Nicolas came out to discuss final details and the exact layout for the patio. He was very helpful in showing us two different looks/shapes we could have for the project by spraying an outline of each look. This was incredibly useful so we felt we knew and could easily visualize exactly where the patio would be. He helped us to solidify our color choices and covered important aspects of the project related to how water-proofing and drainage would work. Nicolas and the workers completed our project in a very timely, but thorough, manner and were very clean not leaving any trash or supplies on our property. We were happier with the results than we could have imagined and Julie even followed up with us after everything was done just to see how we were enjoying our patio and if there was anything else we needed. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with Nicolas and his team and would strongly recommend them!

After building a sizable backlog due to the response to the Big Deal that he offered, Nicolas and I met to discuss the project, select the site and pavers to be used, finalize the price (since the job was larger than the Big Deal), and find a good schedule for the work to be done (working around all the recent rain in the area). On the day things began, his crew arrived early and worked all day, but required a second day to finish up. No problems though, and everything was clean and orderly. Would certainly select Nicolas again for future projects.

Nicolas certainly doesn?t lack confidence and because of this he provides critical guidance to his customers and keeps the project on track. Nicholas is customer focused and listened to what we wanted to do and made numerous helpful suggestions and tweaks to bring our paver project to a beautiful conclusion. We probably ask a thousand questions, many well beyond the scope of this project, and Nicolas and his crew answered every one politely and thoroughly. Here are some important points: Nicolas showed up on time with three workers and went right to work; they completed our project in two days by working late on the second day; everybody works and they all work really hard and this is not easy work at all; everyone was very professional and polite even with the several untimely changes we made during construction; they were always willing to do what we wanted without complaining; they cleaned up the entire work site before departing. We are very happy with the way our walkway and retaining wall turned out and we thoroughly recommend Nicolas and would use him again on another project.

The service was completed in three days, done quickly and efficiently by him and his crew. If he really does come back yo fix the one small imperfection, I will re review him as one of the top service providers of all time!! Amazing

Phenomenal! Nicolas and his team were dynamic, reliable, professional and the hardest-working team I have ever used for any type of work. The estimates were provided in a professional, timely fashion so I could obtain HOA board approval for this new hardscaping project. The work was begun on time and completed as quickly as possible given weather-caused delays. Nicolas is an outstanding team lead and truly is an artisan in his genre. He listens to what the customer wants and needs, provides helpful advice, leads and completes the work in a superior manner, and uses the highest-quality materials. He and his team are easy to work with, accessible and responsive. This was a difficult job given the location and requirements of the HOA community, but Nicolas and his team accommodated those needs and were gracious and respectful in all aspects. I would give Nicolas and his team the highest accolades for the work they performed and am looking forward to working with them again on another hardscaping project at my house.

The job went well. Nicolas responded the same day I called and stopped by to give me an estimate. The work was done the following week with a crew of 4 guys. Took about 3 hours. Nicolas was pleasant to work with. I suggested a change while they were doing the work (concrete pour) and Nicolas accommodated my request.

Nicolas and his crew arrived on time and installed our paver patio job in less than one day. They told us exactly what they planned to do and kept us informed as the work progressed. As I watched them work, it was obvious that they knew what they were doing and that they were professionals. After the work was complete, Nicolas made sure that we were pleased with the patio. He told us how to care for it in the future. The final product exceeded our expectations!

Nicolas gave estimate to grade and build a patio, and rip and place existing walkway.Price would be dependent upon pavers selected. Prior to job we had selected a paver, but were convinced to upgrade pavers for wear and tear as well as color requirements. Also, presented future phases which Nicolas convinced us would be easier/cheaper at this point. Nicolas showed when he said he would. He worked alongside his crew. The team was very professional and polite. They worked hard and long to ensure the patio would be done for mother's day. They cleaned up very well following the work. The end result was stunning. The patio and walkway came out beautiful, and we could not have asked for more. We are very pleased and would refer the crew to anyone considering patio/walkway construction.

nicolas was professional from beginning to end. i had interacted with multiple vendors over the last 18 months trying to find the right person at the right price. many could hardly be bothered to return phone calls. nicolas is responsive and provided his proposal basically on the spot. he and his team were respectful, punctual and professional. they left the job site clean at the end of each day. nicolas brought a lot of creativity and great design eye and we made adjustments in real time to handle various issues with our property/job site that came up as well as some change requests that my wife and i made. he never complained and always just works the problem or request to find an answer that works for everyone. he started the job on Monday and was finished by saturday (we had a rain day in there too). the results are beautiful and what was two eyesores is now beautiful additions to our home. we have more work planned with nicolas and we would have started immediately if he wasn't so booked up. i could not recommend him enough (except don't take him when i need him! ;-)

Great experience and a job more than well done

When I contacted Nicolas I told him that I needed the work to be done by the 2nd week in May due to a function that my wife and I were planning for May 10th. He said his schedule was busy but he would see if he could work me in. He called me the next day and came to my house so he could make sure he understood the work I desired to have done. The area I wanted pavers to be installed off the steps of my deck has been a problem for me due to drainage issues (neighbors yard slopes down toward mine). Nicolas was very professional and asked me many questions to make sure he understood my needs and desires. He measured the area & made suggestions as to what he recommened be done to solve my drainage issue. After confirming what I wanted, I contracted with Nicolas to install a small paver patio and adjacent low wall with an underground drainage pipe, along with a small 6' by 4' paver area in front of my crawl space door. Nicolas told me that he would work me into his schedule so the work would be completed before May 10th. The next week Nicolas called me on Tues and said he would like to start the project that Thurs. He and his crew of 4 showed up at the sheduled time. He again went over what was to be done and his superintendent was included in the conversation to make sure he also understood. They immediately began work and I left for the office. Nicholas did call me once they had put in the pad at the crawl space door and readied the padio area for pavers . They had made the pad square, where as I had wanted it to be oval on the outside end. He told be that if he made it oval, it would cut off some of the area due to the pad being small. He suggested I come look at it if could, so I did. I confirmed that I did want the pad to be oval, so he said he would change it, which he did. It took about a 1 1/2 days for the job to be completed. Nicholas delivered everything he promised. He was very professional, easy to talk to and listened very well. His guys worked hard and were very polite. They cleaned up the work site and just did an overall A-one job on the project. The quality of his work is execellent. Niclholas even called me back the next weekend after a storm to check and see if the drainge worked ok. My wife and I are very pleased and we both feel like Nicholas exceeded our expectations. We would definitely use Nicolas again for any future projects and we would highly recommend him to others. You won't be disappointed.
