Nicolas and his team were great. They understood what we wanted and listened to our concerns. They were on time, they were professional and they went the extra step to make sure the drainage was accounted for. We are really pleased with the end result and will use Nicolas for future projects.

Very well. The crew arrived on time and set to work. Meanwhile, Nicholas himself went far beyond the call of duty to deal with problems tunneling chipmunks had created under the patio his crew had installed a several months ago. He removed a row of pavers, dug down about a foot and a half, and built a concrete barrier to block their routes, spending several hours himself on the work. He did this at no additional charge. As usual, the work on the new walkway was perfect. And Nicholas always makes suggestions for little improvements, as he did yesterday, to flare the walkway where it joined another one. His crew also did some additional work on another area that hadn't even been discussed previously or included in the quote, again at no charge. Nicholas is an honorable businessman. He and his crew do impeccable work, and are a pleasure to deal with.

Nicolas and his team did a phenomenal job hardscaping around our in-ground pool. The main goal was to create a short wall around half my pool while leaving the other half open with an infinity look to keep visibility to our backyard. He also aimed at improving our drainage around the pool area through soil grading. When it was all said and done, Nicolas and his team exceeded our expectations and did it in a quality and professional manner. He was the only contractor we spoke with that worked with us to utilize some of the existing wall material in order to greatly improve our hardscape while keeping us in our price range. He was able to use existing pool hardscape wall to create a new set of steps leading up to the pool that came out great. He articulated his detailed agenda during the planning phase and walked us through the progress of the job each day to ensure we didn’t have any questions. His team was prompt each day and left our yard in the same shape as it was before work began, which is something we do not see often. I would highly recommend using Nicolas for any hardscape or drainage projects and will be utilizing him for additional projects at our home.

Nicolas and his team have done patio projects for us at 2 homes. They also corrected a significant drainage issue at one home while installing a beautiful patio and walkway. Nicolas and team are professional, meticulous and we highly recommend their work.

Nicolas and his team did an amazing job on our patio. He came up with the concept and we were so pleased with how it come out. They were very professional, and worked very quickly but didn't sacrifice quality. They also made sure everything was cleaned up and put back to how we had before the work was completed. I would definitely hire him again for any future landscaping/stone work that we have done.

Nicolas and his crew are great, they not only repaired/replaced a faulty sitting wall built by a prior contractor (in 2016 by Turftenders), they removed an older deck and then expanded the patio behind my house by integrating the older (discontinued) pavers with new ones. Additionally, they relocated a drain pipe pop-up and graded my backyard in the process. Highly flexible contractor and very much recommended.

What we liked best about working with Nicolas Hardscape and Drainage was how easy it was to reach a real person in order to discuss the dates for an estimate (free) and firm up a date for the work. Julie was easy to reach and very efficient and helpful in terms of this. The date for the work was far off, but ended up being moved up by a couple of weeks. The price given was much better than the other company I spoke with which also gave a free estimate, but then was nearly impossible to have submit something we could submit to the HOA for approval. The work was completed in under two days with all of the dirt and such being hauled away. Nicolas and those who work with him were all very nice, professional, and excellent at their jobs. They cleaned everything up and made sure we were 100% ratified with the work done. The price came in at exactly the price quoted. We highly recommend Nicolas and his company !

Nicholas and his crew were amazing. Prompt, professional and complete. Nicholas not only advised on the aesthetic but also mitigated some drainage issues that we may have experienced if left unattended. Communication was not a guessing game and the end result was beautiful.

Our family moved from Maryland to East Raleigh a little over a year ago and we knew from the very beginning we wanted to expand our living space by creating an outdoor kitchen and entertaining area but the mere thought of trying to find a reputable, customer-service oriented expert to perform the work had me feeling overwhelmed. While we had a vision, I needed a professional with expertise to partner with and help bring that vision to fruition. There’s no way I could summarize our positive experience and convey how happy we are with the outcome with our project in a few paragraphs but here goes. A summary of our project was to install (30x25) backyard outdoor paver patio, outdoor grill area/bar, custom paver fire pit, seated bench/wall with custom outdoor lighting, grading and address drainage, install retaining wall and walkway to back fence. This was a substantial job and I’ll forever be grateful to have worked with Nicolas Hardscape & Drainage and the entire team on this project. · Consultation: After reading all the positive reviews, we met with Nicolas many months before visiting his showroom twice. He was very generous with his time to come out to our property (3 times) to gain a clear understanding what we wanted and make many helpful design and layout suggestions along the way. We never felt pressured and Nicolas never made us feel like we were wasting his time. It was evident he was a master of his craft but we had a difficult time making the decision to move forward due to the scale of project and financial commitment needed so soon after relocating. After a few more months debating back/forth with my husband and many more phone calls with Nicolas we comfortably made the decision to move forward with our dream plans. · Pricing: As noted above, this was a large project and Nicholas was very upfront on pricing and what it would take to deliver this project and the need to build a contingency fund in the event we came across something unexpected. We obtained quotes from other hardscape companies prior to signing with Nicolas Hardscape and those quotes were less expensive and some competitive but I didn’t get a good feeling that the commitment to customer service standards we expected would be there during the project. · Communication: From beginning to end, Nicolas was flexible, maintained open lines of communication and was very responsive to emails and texts. He listened to us as his client and help guide us thru a successful design of a beautiful functional outdoor living space. We hit a snag in our design plan after discovering something out of the ordinary with the layout of our septic system but Nicolas quickly offered solutions to work around those challenges allowing us to achieve the results we wanted. · Craftsmanship/Quality/Attention to Detail: Nicolas assisted us with selection of paver/granite selections to complement our existing exterior and to match our budget. Everything matches beautifully. With the project now complete you can see every level of care and detail he and the team put forth. It’s just stunning if I do say so myself J. The duration of the project took approximately 3 weeks and team arrived daily (M-F) consistently ~ 6:45 am and mindful not to get machinery and other equipment going before 8:00 so as not to disturb my neighbors. At the end of each day, the work area was always cleared, free from debris and safe for us and our dog to move around which was extremely important to me. · Customer Service: Our customer service standards are extremely high and I tend to be a bit of a micro-manager. I work from home and was onsite the entire time this project was underway. We received first-class attention from Nicolas and his team and our job was a priority until completion. This gave me a great sense of comfort not feeling we were one of many they were trying to manage at one time or that they would cut corners. We’ve overseen our share of home improvement projects as a homeowners but I could never have forecasted the success we had. We are thrilled with the final results of the project but moreover the attention, care and integrity that was shown to us by the entire team. Many contractors can take a page from their book to put quality and customer service over quantity. Nicolas and his crew had a big job with our backyard. It was a swampy, weedy mess. They started by clearing everything out, grading the dirt and getting it all ready fo the beautiful paver patio that they created for us! We had several unexpected issues that popped up at the beginning of the project and Nicolas was able to come up with solutions that not only fixed the problem but made it even better! The guys including Nicolas were here bright and early every morning and worked tirelessly all day. They are a great bunch of guys and a team that we'll be sure to work with again in the future. We'd recommend them to anyone looking for quality work.

The work was begun earlier than we expected and completed more quickly than we expected. Nicholas was always responsive, and his crew was very enjoyable to work with. He has since been back to deal with a problem with chipmunks burrowing from under our concrete front porch into the area next to the pavers, without charge.

After getting a positive recommendation from another satisfied customer, we hired Nicolas Isidro of Nicholas Hardscape and Drainage to refurbish our paver patio. He came and made a careful estimate and explained each step of the process in detail--first to me and then to my husband, who came home at the end of the estimate. We hired Nicholas in June, but his schedule was full so he booked our job for October. We appreciated both his honesty and his accurate understanding of his crew's actual capacity. Three months later, he gave us a call and then showed up the next day on time. Over the next two weeks, his crew completed the job as promised--thoroughly, on time, and within the estimated budget. Nicolas contacted us via phone, email and text throughout the project to refine scheduling since the work was weather-dependent. He even repaired two of our low-voltage lighting fixtures at no cost to us, testing them when he was finished to insure they worked. At the end of the complete job, he waited a week for everything to fully cure before coming by for the final inspection. and collect payment (he prefers cash or check). Nicolas is a man of his word, and both he and his crew were a pleasure to work with and have on our property. We will use his company again for our future hardscape installation and maintenance projects. As always Nicolas and crew were prompt and efficient. It always amazes me how they work like a well oiled machine. I’m sure there is a master plan, but each person goes about their task independently. It reminds me of a giant puzzle with people working on different areas ( I place a center piece, you a corner) and then the beautiful picture appears! We have had Nicolas Hardscape do several projects for us in the past and as usual, we were thrilled with the outcome. They removed our old deck and “connected” a new patio to a patio they installed a couple of years ago. It was seamless, adding anther 100 square feet, retaining wall and steps leading to the driveway. They leveled the driveway and lined our mulched areas with gorgeous 10” river rock. Lastly we had a huge fire pit with matching pavers installed. It was surrounded by river pebbles and finished with river rock. Plenty of room for our entire extended family! SO, over the years Nicolas and crew have added drainage in our entire back yard complete with dry creek beds, outlined mulch beds and drive with river rock, installed our upper patio and walkway to the pool, installed a lower patio at our grilling area, walkway and patio with retaining wall to the hot tub and now our new patio at our back door! Whew, a lot of work, beautiful, beautiful work, our backyard paradise! Thank you for for all your creativity and delivery. We love you guys! Hmmm.....front yard???

Nicolas Hardscapes did a great job on our two separate projects: drainage and paver installation. They responded quickly to our request for a quote and promptly came out to check on the job specifics and work up an estimate. When we had questions on a few details in their estimate they came back out to explain in person and onsite just what they were proposing. No other company did that. Let me repeat, even though we had questions about the proposals from all the companies who gave us quotes, only Nicolas came back out to answer our questions in person. Wow! That, combined with the positive reviews here and the fact that his proposal for dealing with our drainage issue simply seemed like the most likely to actually solve the problem, were why we chose Nicolas Hardscapes (even though their bid was not quite the highest, but close to it). After we selected Nicolas working with him to schedule the job was always easy. Once the job started, he and his crew were efficient, professional, and tidy. If the weather had cooperated they could have finished our two projects in maybe 3 days. They ripped out 5 large bushes. They installed underground pipes to channel our downspout water, a drainage pipe to collect water in the yard, and ran these pipes 75 feet to the woods. They mulched and spread grass seed. And they also installed paver walkways on either side of our driveway. We have had a couple torrential downpours since the drainage system was installed and it works flawlessly. And the pavers look great and really class-up our entry. We have other landscaping projects in our future and you better believe we'll be using Nicolas for all of them.

The team arrived on time and had the necessary equipment to do the job. They walked me through the plan and gave me a really good idea of what it would look like when completed, and asked if that was okay. We checked in at different points throughout the day. The job came out great and it was better than I even expected it could be. Thank you!!

Really great job, attention to detail, consistent responsive communications, very considerate to my needs and clean up/ end of job was great. Nicolas is a real pro, he knows how to do things right. Nicolas personally stopped by after the job was complete to make sure everything looked good, planted MORE grass seed around the wall areas. He also came back again and relocated some remaining heavy materials that I couldn't move my self to a more suitable area, no charge, just another customer service plus.

Wonderful outcome. Exceeded expectations Perfectly blended our older hardscape into the new. Created an incredible backyard oasis. Blended our old lighting into a new scape at night making the area usable in the evening with ambient lighting. Tastefully done. They having amazing work ethic and are timeless. Cant speak higher of my satisfaction with the projects Nicolas's hardscape has done for us.
