Knowledgeable and thorough. Great communication skills and attention to detail. Pricing was fair and expectations were addressed. Would recommend for grading/drainage issues, retaining wall, and paver work.

We have have had Nicolas do a lot of work for our community. He has done a total of 4 different drainage projects and installed a retaining wall in our community. Every time he has explained everything very well, and has been very profession and reliable. For the retaining wall he under estimated the material cost, but stuck to the original estimate.

Nicolas and his team were professional, courteous, on-time and knowledgeable about the installation. The pavers were all taken up, cleaned and reset after bringing in more sand to level the foundation. The end result was fantastic. No more draining issues!! We did have some heavy rain overnight and some minor details needed attention. Gave Nicolas a call and he had one of his crew return the very next morning to correct them. I will definitely have them back for any future projects

The driveway was widened via Pavers that Nicolas recommended to match the stone on our house. In addition, we had no impervious remaining so Nicolas added drainage to make the new area pervious. It looks beautiful and we have received several complements. The team was efficient, polite, and fully cleaned up after completing their work.

This is the second time I have hired Nicolas to do hardscaping work for me. This was a very big job this time and,as in the first time, Nicolas and his men were amazing! They were prompt, courteous and personable. Nicolas really cared that I understood everything and that I was pleased with all they were doing. His knowledge and professionalism is beyond reproach! I was especially struck by how well he and his team worked together - everyone knew their job and executed their individual tasks smoothly and efficiently. As a result, they were able to complete the entire job in a timely and more than satisfactory manner. They were all friendly and polite, and all worked diligently the entire time. Excellent. Nicolas and crew showed up on time, did an outstanding job and finished earlier than quoted. Ended up using more rock than the expected and honored the original quote without questioning it. They were very conscientious about not disturbing the surrounding areas as much as could be expected in getting the equipment into a tight area. Did a great job. Thanks.

Nicolas’ Hardscapes definitely undersold and overdelivered. His friendly and matter-of-fact way of talking to me about the project beforehand disguised his strict level of attention to detail, planning, and execution. I didn’t expect them to be as thorough as they were with prep and especially clean-up afterwards, and he was on-site to supervise and answer questions the entire time. He was also thorough about making sure I understood what was going on with general progress the whole way. Will definitely use again in the future. My only worry is that he’ll have too many other bookings and I won’t be able to get on his calendar!

Every aspect of our project was comfortably seamless. Nicholas met with us on several occasions before the start of our project. He addressed all of our concerns politely and professionally. We had significant drainage concerns that have been corrected. Nicholas has an amazing eye for design that worked well for our space. His entire team was professional, knowledgeable, and took great care with respect for our property. They truly left it better than they found it. Nicholas is very detail oriented. Having been through extensive interior and exterior remodeling over the past 5 years with lots of frustration with contractors, Nicholas and his team raise the bar. There really is no reason to call anyone else.

Our project turned out better than we possibly could have imagined thanks to Nicolas and his team. From the first time Nicolas came out to the house to discuss the project he was punctual, attentive, and provided great inputs to what we'd planned. Prior to the start of the project, Nicolas was always available to chat about ideas, come back out to the house when we wanted to make an adjustment to the plan, and did a good job of communicating with us any delays to our start date (due to an exceptionally rainy May). Once the project kicked off, Nicolas and his team were on-time every day, friendly, helpful, and did a good job of cleaning up their equipment and the mess at the end of each day. Nicolas and his team went way above and beyond, not only doing the hardscaping but also helping me to position and set some posts for a pergola (as well as some other random projects that I was doing at the same time). The team spent a lot of time on the prep work-- getting everything just right and sometimes going back to make adjustments to things that they thought could be better-- they're perfectionists about their work, and that's exactly what you want for this sort of project. In addition, I'm a fairly hands-on (involved) person when it comes to big projects like this, and Nicolas and his team were awesome about making adjustments or explaining what was going on as I had questions. As other reviewers have noted, the quality of their work really is exceptional. The scope of work for this project included 2x patios, steps (withe lights), a wall for a planter, a sidewalk, planter edging, walls (planters) built along side our driveway, and re-working our drainage around our house. In short, this is project was EXACTLY what working with a contractor SHOULD be. Because he's so sought after, we did have to wait several months for our project to start (we first met in January and we were booked for late May). Because of that wait, we thought about going with someone else- but we are glad we didn't. If you want it done right, and you want a great experience, Nicolas is absolutely worth the wait.

Nicolas came out and gave suggestions for some options to consider. Based on budget and other factors, we selected a simple drain box. It was installed quickly and without issue. Just need some rain now to see it in action.

Nic and crew have done it again. Delivering on a vision and backyard dream come true. He and his team created a true backyard retreat around our newly installed pool. They installed retaining walls, several sqft of Belgard pavers, accent lighting and took care of all the drainage needs around the back of our property. He installed a natural boulder firepit that tied our design in perfectly. He and team prepared the rest of the back of the property with final grading in preparation for sod installation. I have hired Nic several times in the past and will only have him and his team work on my property. I always have him as a recommendation to friends and neighbors after they see his work. But as I always say about Nic's work, its as much about what's above the ground that you say but as well as how he prepares the ground/property for the installation. His installs are assured to last for years which is really the big differentiator between OK landscapers and ones that you keep going back to and recommend.

It’s the second time we were hiring Nicholas and his crew. They are very professional and always on time. They are courteous and very responsive. After the job was completed, Nicholas checked with us a few times to make sure we were satisfied and to answer any questions we had. Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that Nicholas took in consideration that our project was urgent and found time in his busy schedule to squeeze our project. After the wonderful experience we had with his company the first time we hired them, I didn’t want to go with anyone else!

Nicolas and his crew were excellent to work with on my project to make my backyard a functional and attractive area for entertaining and family use. They installed the drains that carried the water from my house to the natural area at the end of the backyard. The patio was installed and the flower beds around the patio were filled with encore azaleas and mulched. The crew was friendly and courteous and they were always on time..

Excellent! Nicolas and his crew went above and beyond to help us make our backyard space more functional and enjoyable. He resolved drainage issues that prevented us from using the area as intended, and created a stone and gravel pathway around our sunroom that really ties the back of the house together. Nicolas is a craftsman, and an artisan. He is a clear communicator, and a great collaborator. Always very punctual, he and his team take pride in seeing projects, big or small, through to wonderful results. Our job took place over two days, and Nicolas worked us into his busy schedule without a hitch. The job site was left very clean after days 1 and 2. We are very satisfied with Nicolas' Hardscapes & Drainage LLC! Our hardscaping had not been touched in ten years so there was a lot of work to install new gravels and walkways. Nicolas is very interactive and clearly understands his trade. His staff were also friendly and very efficient. When we reported that one of the pathway stones was loose, Nicolas came immediately to fix the problem. We had dreaded hiring for this task but it worked out perfectly!!
