My only dealing with Newcomb was when they surveyed my neighbors’ yard and I must say, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. Obviously, my neighbor and I share a property line so the Newcomb employees were wandering around my property line, which happens to be in woods behind my house. So, when I noticed weird people I didn’t know wandering around my property line, like any responsible home owner, I went to find out what was happening. The conversation went as follows: Me: May I help you? Newcomb: No Me: What are you doing in the woods? Newcomb: I’m not on your property Me: What are you doing? Newcomb: A survey (they then proceeded to turn their back on me and walk away) So Newcomb, during a pandemic when my family is stuck at home you are sending your employees to wander my property line making everyone inside nervous about why someone we don’t know is wandering our property line and when they are asked about it they manage to cause even more fear by being dismissive, defensive and disrespectful to people. Is this really the best way you could be handling things during this time? Can you not just consider the overall anxiety everyone is feeling right now and coach your employees to better handle these situations? Maybe they could just explain they are doing a survey for the neighbor and they should be out of there quickly. I would have said thank you and nobody in my home would have had nightmares thinking that strange men were going to be lurking in the woods. Or do you truly not care that your employees are out there making people feel uncomfortable and scared in their own homes during a time when they have no choice but to stay home? Why did you feel the need to come scare my family when there was no need?

Called me back in a timely manner. Able to perform the survey within one week. Had complete copies emailed to me two days later. Always with good communication. Final product was well done.

Long wait high price

It went well. They showed up on time and got the job done. They weren't the cheapest nor the most expensive.

Still waiting on drawings and a bill. The confirmation email was never sent to me, but the initial work was done...seems odd they woukdnt touchback at all after the initial call.

He related details of a parcel of land that was purported to have been recently surveyed and was of certain dimensions that contradicted the seller's representative. Essentially he saved me a lot of time, money and hassle with his research of the parcel of land in question.

Newcomb Land Surveyors were professional, courteous, and very responsive. Because the contractors adding the deck to our house pushed our job up, we were in a crunch to have the plot survey submitted for permitting. Newcomb to the rescue! I called them on a Friday afternoon, and by Tuesday we had the property staked and had the plots ready to send to the city. I would definitely recommend Newcomb Land Surveyors.

I contacted Newcomb to perform a boundary and flood prone soils delineation survey. Tim at Newcomb spoke with me briefly about it and we exchanged several emails relevant to the property. After a week had passed I did not hear from Newcomb that the survey was scheduled or if it had already been completed. During the following few days I called the office several times, left messages, and emailed to request a status update. I did not receive a response. I emailed again a few days later explaining that if Newcomb could not complete the survey right away I needed to know so that I could move ahead. Tim advised me to get another surveyor to complete the work. He appeared to be annoyed and/or angry that I wanted the survey completed or at least needed an explanation for the delay.

I have not received the schematics of the survey but expect them soon. Unfortunately Mother Nature delayed the date our original surveying was to be done. The next day, the surveyor they sent was new and had to come out twice. Apparently the original front irons were actually 25' offset irons from the actual right-of-way of road. So, the two back irons they set were 25' too far back towards our woodline. I'm glad they found this out and I now feel so much better knowing exactly where our property line is at. We did have one episode where a very small tree branch was broken and we were not informed of it but had reported it to Justin. We didn't mind too much since it was a minor branch but would have felt better if they told us. Justin was very apologetic and smoothed out any ruffled feathers. Although the cost of the survey might seem much, I feel the service will be worth it once the schematics are delivered. I would recommend these folks if you have the funds.

We wanted a survey to confirm property lines because we were having a new fence, a new driveway, and some landscaping done. The company owner (Tim) was very helpful on the phone and the crew came earlier than promised (a good thing) because of weather delays to other jobs. The crew was informative, polite, and efficient. The basic survey without the map and digital data would have been in the range of $100 to 150 I was told. We wanted the map and data so we were happy to pay the extra charge. We were pleased with the entire experience and would use Newcomb again.

Went well. I've never used another surveying firm so I'm guessing the prices were good. They seemed fair.
