The service was excellent, I have been using for the last 30 years for my air conditioning and heating system.

It always been very good. We used them a lot. Been working with them for 8 years.

ok to start. problems with install and replacement of the unit. they removed the unit for new replacement and damaged my floor and trim in multiple places. they never got back to me on the issue. they did end up installing the new unit after months. company is too busy to provide good customer service.

Excellent. Very professional and responsive. Better than expected experience. All techs and sales guy were really nice. Honestly expected them be more expensive than other HVAC contractors but they were the least expensive.

I thought the price was a little bit much.

These guys came and I had them do an estimate because a friend of mine in North Raleigh recommended them, and I would trust them with anything too. It’s neat to be able to have people working on your house that you really trust. They underbid the local competition. Outstanding! They’re so well organized that they had team that comes and I have them come maintain the system and there’s a separate team that does installs that came out looked the thing over, wrote up what they needed to do, and showed up the day that they installed it and just knocked the thing out. They were outstanding. They were right on. They were there absolutely. As a matter of fact, they call you that they’re on the way and when the chance that they could be there. They’re absolutely professional, and when you call them with a problem, the people at the desk when you call that number they refer you to whatever department and they have you talking to somebody that knows a little about what’s going on. You explain the situation to them and then they put you in touch with the right person. I won’t let anyone else touch my A/C.

I had an extraordinary experience with the Wilmington Division of Newcomb and Company. I had a specialized AC unit that no-one could replace. Add to that, I'm on an island that there are no cars and is only accessible by ferry or barge. Despite never working there, they took it on and made several trips to reconnaissance and bring equipment over. The representatives were always available and returned calls promptly. The installation team were a pleasure to work with and cleaned up after themselves every day. Highly recommend!

I have a contract with them. They come out twice a year. In the sprint they come out for the air condition in the fall they come out for the heat. I use them all the time.

The yearly contract is about $250. They're good. We switched to them as our maintenance service provider. I'm very happy with it.

In the winter there was a very thorough review of my heating system and everything was in good shape. In the summer my AC system was reviewed and coils were cleaned on the attic unit and the outside unit. When evaluating the outside unit technician was concerned about my TXV valve that appeared to be malfunctioning with a potential cost over $1500 to replace. Technician said he needed to have the supervisor come out for a double check. I contacted another HVAC vendor for a second opinion and was told TXV valve is working fine and no problem with freon.

Installation hit a snag due to a damaged HVAC part - delayed the job finish by at least 1/2 day and they seemed rushed at the end of the installation due to the damaged part fix time. Problems/Experience: - Failed to install additional thermostat wire to all new thermostat to control staging of the new two stage furnace. - Had at least two visits for subsequent installation / operation problems (4). One of the service calls involved the lack of installation of a required part during the initial installation. -The last and most recent service call (emergency weekend call) was due to a repair that occurred one weak prior. The failure "fix" assisted my local Carrier service representative caused the furnace to shut down on a Saturday morning. I was told over a week ago (10 days) that they would contact me about the repair attempt that caused system to shut down. Haven't heard back as promised. The blame for this service call currently lies with Carrier due incorrect service advice to Newcomb. Apparently Newcomb was told by carrier to install some plugs in the condensate drain that caused the drain to fail. - Most of the problems I've had I believe are due to the installation workmanship and post installation inspection. >>Their attitude and professionalism are great and that's why I haven't lost my patience although it has cost me a lot of extra time for being available during the service calls.

When we purchased the new system, they did not give us all the the paper work for the rebates. We were eligible for $300 in rebates. When I tried to called the company, I was sent to a voicemail and my calls weren't returned. When I finally I finally spoke to the owner, it was too late for the rebate, but they gave us a free one year service contract, that?s normally $150. It included two inspections a year, and a warranty on the parts. At first, the system went down on a very rare occasion, maybe twice. In late July 2015, I got a phone call to schedule the spring inspection, even though the summer was almost over. We set an appointment for the guy to come out. He came out on the 2nd of August. He came out 5 weeks later for the fall inspection. The furnace is in an unfinished room under the house. The ground was muddy, the system needed new condenser coil. The part was free, but we where changed an arm and a leg for labor. $1100 for 2 men and 4 hours of work. After week after installing the part, the system was down again. The tech said the that pump had gone down. He fixed it, and we were billed for it. We just had the new part put in on Tuesday of this week and on Thursday or Friday the system was down again. This time, when they replaced the condenser coil, and they didn't replace a hose to pump. The system shut down again, and I was told we needed to do was reset the thermostat. The tech did it himself, and now I can?t reset it. The house is too cold and the I can?t fix it. I am fighting mad! I do not want them coming back on my property. They come in to fix one thing, and then something else breaks! Two years ago, I'd have given them an A, but now it's an F. I've tried calling them several times to cancel our contract, but I keep getting their voicemail and they don't return the calls.

Several people & contractors were involved so I will rate them individually: - Sales rep: Knew what he was doing and provided a good estimate, but took a long time to return our calls and emails. We had to call many times to obtain information and confirm service. This is what led us to rate them a D in responsiveness - all contractors arrived on time and responded well to our questions. - Electricians: first class all the way. They showed up early, discussed the work with me and completed it quickly. They moved what had to be moved and cleaned up when they were done. I recommend these guys without reservation. - Carpenter: Good. He knew what to do but hadn't worked with our kind of vinyl siding before. He took a while to finish the job but the end result looks very good. - Installers: Also very good. Knew what they were doing and, although they had to review the manual for our specific unit, finished the job professionally and in a timely manner. In summary, we're happy with the work and would use Newcomb again.

We’ve been really happy with them. We have recommended them to friends. The experience was great. They were very prompt and punctual. Price was great. I would recommend to family members and friends. I'd say they were just very good. They explain everything they do and their prices are good.

We have used them twice. We were satisfied with each time. They came through with what they said they were going to do. They weren't as expensive and were competitive in their pricing with other companies and we would definitely use them again. We signed up for a maintenance contract for a year. When he came out he tried to charge me more for Freon, he filled up the Freon and then tried to charge me later. I told him that he should have let me know that he was going to charge me, he did take it off the bill. Overall, the services were good. They did a marvelous job. They cleaned it up well and the job was well done.

Although Newcomb was dealing with a lot of calls yesterday during the cold snap, the dispatcher assured us we would get service that day and we did. The technician came by late morning, had to leave to get a part, and had our heat restored by mid-afternoon. Always courteous, always very clear about what the problem is and what they are doing to fix it..... They are terrific.

Excellent service and dealing. They do my work and i'm very satisfied with them. They are timely and of great integrity. I have had a very good interaction with them so far. Very satisfied with them.

Four years ago we used Newcomb and Company to replace 3 heating and air conditioning units in a home we were redoing. Because of allergies we chose to install very expensive electrostatic cleaning units as part of each unit. Each year we had a problem with these units and I was getting very frustrated. The problem was with the equipment, and Newcomb took on the manufacturers to insure they stood by their warranties. Because of their commitment to quality and customer trust Newcomb stood by it's warranty promises, replaced all the electrostatic cleaners with new ones, and didn't charge for their labor or time dealing with the manufacturer. There aren't many companies out there like that nowadays.

This is the second Carrier system replacement that Newcomb has done for us. Excellent work, excellent after the job service, highly recommended. The company is small enough to provide high-quality personal service, and large enough to respond quickly and professionally with a high degree of product knowledge and experience.
