Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Wake County

The water heater was rusting heavily, and past its age so the technician (Justin) recommended I swap it out for a new one, and provided a quote on the spot. The technician then came back to install on the same day. Everything went well and the water heater is functioning amazingly (we hadn't noticed how lukewarm the water was before the new one was installed). My only knock is that when the old water heater was removed and taken downstairs (over my carpet) there seems to have been drops of water and rust from the old heater that fell on the carpet and stained it. It wasn't the most horrible thing in the world, but definitely could have protected the carpet before moving the rusty water heater. Overall it was a great job and am happy with the results.

Just too pricey. Would not use again. Got sink fixtures replaced by someone else for $30 and their bid was well over $100. Needed the tub work done but it went above cost of deal I bought. Would find another alternative in the future.

Mike came out was very cordial, professional and a people person. I would definitely recommend him for anyone and have him come back for any problems I have. He was great. He showed us everything he did and did not have any hidden prices.

The provider arrived promptly, was very polite and friendly, and quickly repaired the malfunctioning toilet..I was also given an assessment and motor reset for an old garbage disposal which I'll eventually replace. I will definitely use Mr Rooter services again.

The plumber arrived on time. Because the shower arm was over 50 years old he cautiously removed the old shower head without damaging the original pipe.

It went great - Michael came out when he said he would, and quickly found the issue, gave a really fast cost estimate then went to work on the disposal - which he replaced and then got the new one up and running in a very short time.

We needed the cartridges replaced in 3 faucets. The manufacturer (Moen) sent the the part directly to us for free. This is a fairly simple fix, I should be able to do it myself with basic pliers but I figured would not risk it and get a plumber. Maybe 45 mins for all 3. Our plumber quoted us $150 to complete the work. So when I saw the Big Deal for $50 for $150 of plumbing services from Mr Rooter, thought it was perfect. Told them what we wanted done and scheduled the work. There was no mention from them on their cost. My mistake, I should have confirmed right there and cancelled the deal. When the came out they told us it would be an additional $200 or $350 total for the work, and said it would not be warrantied because we didn't buy the part through them. (The manufacturer does not charge for the part) I explained our plumber quoted $150 and asked if they would do it for that price and they would not budge. In the process of trying to get my money back from the no deal Big Deal...

Purchased Groupon for $50 off of $150 service. Selected my appointment dates. I was responded to in about 30 minutes. (Excellent!) I selected a 12-4pm slot, and Justin called at about 12:30 telling me he be here in 25 minutes. (Excellent!) Being that I already knew the nature and location of the leak, Justin went under, verified it, and came back out in about 5 minutes. He wrote me an estimate for $267, before Groupon. After signing, he completed job in 10 minutes. After that he recommended a full piping replacement, and gave me a quote on that. All in all a good service. Maybe I'm getting old and cheap, but I was hoping to get the repair done for under $125, but for $167 after Groupon, I can't complain too much! Good job.

Chad was friendly and professional, answered questions i have and fixed the small leak quickly.

This plumber correctly diagnosed the fact that there was a root ball in my 4" sewer line by using the video camera and jetted it out. I would give them A's across the board but he did not clearly explain what I was paying for. In all honesty, I think I was so flustered that he clearly explained it but I did not clearly digest what he was saying. All and all, very good. The thing I like about Mr Roto is that they have fixed prices for jobs so there is no guess work.

Clean clog and made recommendations to prevent. Scoped entire line. Very quick response on acheduling that evening.

Things went pretty well with the service from Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Wake County. It wasn't exactly as I expected, there was a problem but he took care of it before it was all over. He tried to charge me more than the front price. He ended up doing it for a fair price but he tried to charge me more for the service, had it been some little lady he probably would have got another 100 dollars out of them and I wasn't going to stand for it. The quality was fine. They were not punctual.

Good service and friendly technician. I liked the fact that they have a flat rate price book, so the price is known before they start.

It was good. It ended up not really covering everything that needed to be done. But, I can't complain about that, I guess. I bought that for my son who lives in Fuquay. He said that they showed up and that it was a burst pipe inside the wall and that the big deal did not cover the cost to cut open the wall and replace the pipe. So, he had to pay an additional amount. It was over $100 more. But, the work was done and it was done fine. So, I don't have any complaints. They called and arranged an appointment with my son and showed up when they said they would.

the estimate was very unreasonable

I was having new floors installed and they could not turn the water off to pull the toilet. I called Mr. Rooter they sent Mr. Rogers who arrived within 2 hours of my calling. He did an outstanding job and was very professional. Their pricing is quoted for the job to be done, so you know ahead of time what the cost will be. I asked what it would cost to install a new toilet that we would buy. He told me and was significantly less than another quote I had received---made even better with their deal on Angie's List. I asked if Mr. Rogers could be the Tech to do the installation and was told yes. After the floors were installed he came back to install the toilet. And did another fantastic job.

He did a great job, replaced parts and installed 2 new freeze resistant spigots! Easy transaction and he was very professional

I purchased this Angie's List deal on May 30. I never heard from Mr. Rooter. He never called, emailed, or made any attempt to contact me as far as I can tell. Maybe he was overwhelmed with the response and could not handle the work - who knows. However, this is the second Angie's List special deal that I purchased where I had trouble communicating with the vendor. Angie's List should consider vetting vendors before allowing them to offer special deals on their website.

The guy shows up on time. He's very young. Spends a total of 10 minutes or so in my crawlspace. He promptly informs me that I have no plumbing leaks and that all the water came from my HVAC unit. He did not run any water in my house to see if there was anything leaking. I guess he could tell that I was a little aggitated by the fact that I just paid for a coupon for $150 worth of service and he didn't really investigate that much, so he offers to take a look at my water heater, which he insists needs to be replaced asap (oh really?). While looking at my water heater, he rips off the insulation. I realize after he left that he just left the insulation ripped off. It's STILL sitting there, btw, because I don't have gloves or goggles or a mask to be handling insulation. So I finally get an HVAC guy out to look at my unit (which is running fine) and he pours water into the pump, which is running fine. No leaks whatsoever. He at least goes through the trouble of helping me figure out where the water is coming from. After circling my house, we both come to the conclusion that the water is not coming from runoff outside (i live on a hill), and that the puddles seem to be originating under my bathroom. He thinks the leak is probably only obvious when the water is running. Hmmm, maybe if the plumber had done this investigation and, I don't know, actually run some water in either of the bathrooms...I was giving him the benefit of the doubt and waiting for the HVAC guy to come before writing a review. You know, just in case he was right abut that. But now I'm pretty sure that I did not receive the service I should have from the plumber.

Chad was most professional. He provided good thoughts on how to address other issues He was careful not to track mud through the house

Michael was very polite and explained our options regarding replacing the disposal or redoing the plumbing and getting rid of the disposal.

The representative arrived at the stated time and gave me his card. He went in and installed the facets and left things clean and in order.
