I have the house and yard sprayed for insects. The technician Ethan C. Came out during Hurricane Ian and did the service. The main rain hadn’t hit my area yet but still impressed with the service. I was notified beforehand and he let me know that he was there. I’ve only had one issue with ants, probably from things in my trash bin, but they came out and sprayed on my request. Overall very satisfied with the service. Not sure why some people have such bad experience on these reviews, perhaps they could be part of the problem…

Technician outright lied about the work they performed. I simply have no patience for that. As a customer for over 7 years, I expect someone to do the work they are paid for. I don't like bugs and I pay well for the service. When they don't do the work then I am not a happy customer. The technician didn't even leave a receipt for the service as they normally do.
Description of Work: i have used Moxie for over 7 years and most of their technicians have done the work they were supposed to do. They wiped down spider webs and went around the entire house and sprayed for pests. I used to pay quarterly, for a quarterly service. But for whatever reason, they began billing monthly which worked out to the same cost of quarterly service, but I did not like that. I want to pay for service when I get it, not monthly for a quarterly service. But because they did do a good job, I let that go. This last visit from them, the technician did pretty much nothing. Did not spray the backyard, did not wipe down spider webs, he quickly sprayed only the front of the house and then left. He was here less than 10 minutes. They are more expensive than most pest control companies in the area, but since they did a great job for the past years, I was okay with the price. But I only need to get cheated one time, and that is it. I simply have no patience for that kind of stuff anymore. It is hard enough to get good and honest service. And I don't like blaming the company for every loser employee they happen to take on, but I'm out of patience for it. I'll cancel the service and find someone more honest.

Their service did not help eliminate bugs, they have terrible customer service, and hidden fees on an already expensive service. Trust me, you do not want to do business with them.

I pay over $100 every quarter for a service they perform once a quarter, which essentially entails them coming to my house once a quarter, spray pesticide outside the house, then leave. Way overpriced and absolutely NOT worth the high price they charge for essentially NO value.

They would always call and tell us it was time to come out. We had a screened in porch that we would usually unlock so they could spray for spiders. They came when they were supposed to. We had to call them back a few times. I think their pricing was competitive with everyone else. We used to have animals in the backyard digging holes. It was an ongoing problem. They would set baits for them. We did have a problem with that. They responded pretty well. If we ever called them, they would send someone out.
Description of Work: They came out once a month and sprayed. Mainly, they just sprayed on the outside. They would check in and make sure you didn't have any problems.

My cat might have been actually working to earn her keep and I didn’t realize it. I pay them $125 or so, every quarter and they come as often as needed during that time. If you had asked me a month ago I would have said, “so-so, I’m not sure I really need them!”, but since I have had this mouse problem; they have been so responsive and my technician is here every week, the same guy. He is really on it and we think we have almost eradicated this family. He is very professional. I have a grandchild that is with me temporarily, a new baby in the house. My technician happened to come the day this baby was born and he put it in his report; and the company sent a onesie to my daughter for the baby in the mail. It’s pretty cute. It’s kind of sappy, but it’s the kind of customer service that makes you kind of feel good about a company. My grandson, by the way would never wear that onesie, it has the company logo on it. It was a wonderful, wonderful gesture. This is my second year with them.
Description of Work: They did some of everything. I have been seeing them weekly. My cat died and now I have a problem with mice.

First of all the salesman misrepresented services. None of the following promised, was true. 1. He said they would get rid of Japanese beetles in the yard. Result: While I do not expect instant results, we had as many or more Japanese beetles and saw no progress on that area which I mentioned every time, I spoke to any Moxie employee. 2. The salesman said initial service would include spraying/granular substance underneath house and around foundation and screened porch/deck. Result: Upon initial visit, I asked the technician about spraying under the house he said that was not included. (We have a tall walk in crawl space). He said I could call in to schedule, but he was not prepared to do that today. 3. Salesman said the fees included a check for termites once a year. Result: No one ever checked for termites and I was told that was not a part of your service, but would be in the future. Yet, this service is offered on Angie's list for $50.00? I have spoken to Gwendolyn, Becca, Joe and other technicians. I have voiced concerns. I was told I had to be home for spraying under house or on screened porch/deck. I was told the technician would come on his schedule ? and they can?t say what time of day that will be. On the last visit when Joe arrived, I met him at the door and specifically asked him to spray the screened porch and deck area. After he left, I went onto the porch. There was a huge white spider egg on the screened door at eye level and there were webs all over the deck all the way to the ground that had not been touched. He specifically said he would remove all webbings. When I voiced this concern to customer service, I was told ?oh that was a miscommunication?. A basic service is offered with, extra "free" visits. They were available only on your schedule and I was told I would have to be home all day. When extra visits became the norm, and I am ready to cancel I am told you have a program where I can be given a specific time. I understand when someone makes one mistake, but each and every time, there is an excuse. The bottom line is not only have we not seen results, but don?t feel the service efforts are genuine when each time I voice a concern, I am given an excuse and the story changes. I have canceled the service and now have been billed for $75.00. The invoice states "Original ECR was $150 but in an attempt to part was on a better note, I have dropped it to $75.00.? This was after all the above had been explained to your customer service representative. I would definitely not recommend this company.

I am long time customer with an ongoing pest control contract with Moxie. I will be terminating it immediately. I have been getting the run around for almost a week about what I need to do to get a one time treatment on a rental property I own. If you call the office the people that answer are very polite but they have no idea what is going on. I was told I have to talk to the sales department to re-order the same service as last time. Then when calling the office was told they are all in a "meeting", then they do not call back for almost 24 hours. If you miss the call you can not get ahold of them when you call back to the office. I was told by the sales rep that since I am not doing an ongoing contract on that property I would have to pay TWICE as much as it cost for the same one time treatment one year ago. This would have been find if I had been told this the first time I called but after getting the run around all week I am more ****** off about my time being wasted. The reason this business has one star is crappy customer service. They have historically been very responsive but have obviously gone downhill, it appears the problem is in the office not the guys who come out to the houses but you have to call the office to get the guys out to your house which means you can not get any help.

They did a very thorough inspection upon their initial visit and tailored the service to my property, they even have eco-friendly solutions that they can apply around a garden or any sensitive areas in the yard or home.
Description of Work: They came out initially flushed out the home and the yard, then came back out later to spray.

Technician Brad arrived, introduced himself and explained what he was going to do. Went about his business and advised when done. Also Moxie called the day before-to let us know he was coming-Nice.

I've been using Moxie for a couple of years now. They come once a quarter, ask if I have any specific concerns, then spray around the exterior and remove all the spider webs. The treatments are pet-friendly and I haven't had any problems with the techs or the main office. I'm very pleased.

We used Moxie for quarterly pest control treatments. They would always call before coming out and did a good job. The initial visit was thorough in that they even sprayed inside the walls to help create a perimeter boundary. I think that the initial visit was a bit higher, but generally the treatments were about $100 every three months, which I though was very reasonable. We never really experienced many issues with bugs, even when our neighbors were having issues with spiders; although, if we ever saw anything, we could call and Moxie would come out to re-treat without any additional cost. We stopped using them when we decided to sell our home and rent an apartment for a while, but I would recommend them for homeowners.

The moxie tech is very professional and makes sure that everything is completed that has been ordered. There customer service reps typically calls the day before to check on what I need done. It is a good service and they care about there customers.

I was out of town for almost a month. During that time Moxie said they did my service and left a bill in the door. I did not receive it or a followup bill for over two months. When I got notification that I had a balance due, I immediately made payment online through my bank and called to tell them what I did. They informed me that no bill is sent (which may be their new policy but I've always received on in the past), that I was suppose to pay from the invoice on day of treatment. I explained that I had been out of town, this was the first time I knew of the balance, and just initiated payment with my bank so they should receive by the following week. I continued getting phone calls (2-3) within three days requesting payment and even received another bill despite the fact that I called saying what happened and that payment would be forthcoming. My check had already cleared when I received another bill. I have used Moxie at my previous home for at least six years and transferred service to my new house. Why I was hounded unnecessarily for the cost of one service is very unprofessional and so cancelled my service and let them know I would be writing this.

We’re certainly saddened any time a customer is disappointed. Ants have indeed been especially pesky over the past quarter due to large amounts of rain. Thatch ants in particular, as this customer had, thrive in the wet gap created between layers of mulch. The mulch forms an impenetrable layer that our products best permeate when the customer continues to turn/rake the mulch. We were committed to continuing to work jointly with this customer (through free reservices) to combat the ants, but we understand when a customer prefers to part ways.

Moxie rep came to door and explained the services they provide with a yearly contract. I knew this was something I needed but had simply not dealt with yet. The offer for the initial was discounted and the level of service impressive. I opted in for a yearly contract and the first appt was able to be today. The techs, Carson and Jake W, were thorough, knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. I am very impressed with the initial contact and service!

Rang door bell at 8 o'clock at night. They did introduce themselves and when I said we already have an exterminator they said well there has been a vole problem in the area. I replied don't have that problem either do you hear and see the dogs. Anyway my problem with them is that they are going door to door at 8 o'clock at night.
