Description of Work: Very Expensive and not cost effective. They did a good job, but for it to be my second move, I only got a 5% discount. The workers can take their time as they are paid by the hour. The leader is the best of the group...usually 2-3, even four people packed. It can become very expensive.

+ 0 moreThe fact that we used Move Elders with Ease for two subsequent moves shows how important they were to all of us. They truly make everything go so smoothly. Communication is such an important part, and they gently treated my mother with respect while pushing when it was necessary. They took on the burden and made such a difference. I would highly recommend them without hesitation.
Description of Work: Susan and her team provided moving services for my mother, first downsizing from a house into an apartment 2.5 years ago and then to another apartment. She begins with an extensive interview to determine what services are needed and wanted and she and her team follow up with the downsizing process as needed, planning what can be donated and sold, and the items to be moved. She also came up with ideas for downsizing and organization, and purchased items as needed. Susan developed a plan for placement of the furniture in close consultation with my mother and me, and coordinated all plans with the mover. Her team came one day before moving to pack all items, worked with the movers to move and place items on moving day, and helped my mother settle the day after the move. They even developed a plan to hang pictures and other items on the wall.

+ -1 moreThey packed me up and moved me and then unpacked everything as well. They brought their own boxes to use. After they are done they clean up well and leave everything in place. They charged me $50 an hour per person. I had two ladies helping me. They were just fantastic!

+ -1 moreI was not familiar with senior moving specialists before this move and was initially unsure about incurring the expense, but in the end I'm very glad I hired them to manage the move. They made the entire experience painless and very worthwhile. Susan's team is very professional - they were patient with my parents and very efficient and careful workers. They packed the entire townhouse (7 rooms) on day one, supervised the movers on day two, and unpacked most of the boxes at the destination on the same day! They came back on day three to finish placing decorative pieces, arrange furniture, and hang pictures. My parents never had to lift a finger! Best of all, I could take them away from the hectic activity of moving day and simply show up at their new residence that evening ready to move in. The entire operation went very smoothly and I would definitely hire them again for another elder move. My only caution is that she charges by the hour, so a little thought and planning for the services you really need can save you some money. She will do as much or as little as you wish.
Description of Work: I hired Move Elders with Ease to pack and move my elderly parents from a townhouse into an independent living apartment in Cary. Susan and her team handled all the packing, managed the movers, and did the unpacking at destination.

+ 0 moreThey did a great job in an extremely timely manner. The house went from overwhelming to well-organized in a short period of time.
Description of Work: They cleaned out my mother-in-law's home after her death. They bagged up and removed trash to the garage, sorted out important papers from garbage, put valuables in a secure area, organized kitchen materials and generally organized the whole house. The provided on-line access to before and after pictures. They did an outstanding job.

+ 0 moreThey were terrific overall. Susan brought in a team of 4 people and they had us unpacked, put away, and the boxes broken down with everything organized, including our garage, within the first week that we moved. They were wonderful people to work with overall!
Description of Work: They work with moving companies to move elderly people from one place to another, and they also help with setting up and floor planning. They also assist with unpacking and referring to others as needed.

+ 0 moreSusan Stanhope with Moving Elders with Ease INC was excellent. She will do whatever you want in regards to moving and is very approachable talking about finances and things like that.
Description of Work: She helped me move from my home to my new apartment. She packed unpacked and even hung my pictures and set everything up for me. She also helped me figure out what I wanted to keep and what I needed to get rid of.
