This is from my Yelp review with updates. AVOID LIKE PLAGUE. Used MM in summer 2021 for a local move and they were flawless. For that reason, when my mom died and I had to move things from her home in VA to mine in NC, I called them first. It was pricey but included storage which I also needed at a good price. I didn't have the spoons to shop around and the last thing I wanted was more upheaval from a poor move. Was no brainer to go with them. Lived to regret that. The guys who did the move informed me that the drop off in NC was scheduled for that night. This was opposite of what I had confirmed 2 x. The issue was that they were taking more at my house to store. Things I didn't have completely ready because I thought they were coming following day. OK, I rolled with it. The move was small. Several pieces of lightweight outdoor furniture, 2 boxes and 6 pieces of small to medium sized wood furniture. It should not have taken long BUT it took paperwork guy 45 minutes to get someone at MM to quote the insurance to him. Everyone in a meeting? Seriously? Upshot is that while he did that the other guy was solo. The building is secure and I had to open/ close front door for him. At one point I see him whack glass door in vestibule and not even look back. So it shouldn't be surprising that 2 days later I see the server had dings and scratches on it. Which makes me realize that the wood furniture they stored probably is damaged as well. I called and got manager named Justin. He was going to pull my things in storage to review and send me photos. He asked that I send him photos of the damaged server. I did. He asked what reparations could look like and offered discount on my next move. I told him you have a 50% rate with me so, yeah, not sure that works for me. He said he'd think on it. 2 weeks later I follow up. Nothing. 2 days later I follow up again and I am hot. They have my stuff, no response, a damaged piece sitting in my house. I was honestly at point of getting legal advice, but Olivia got someone to call me Stat. Well, Justin no longer works there. (No one thought to look at his email or set an out of office reply? Technology + common sense are good qualities to have yall.) Monte really tried to save this. Came over almost immediately and made arrangements to get server. I was assured his wood guy was great after I mentioned Mumford was doing other work for me. He pulled storage things and sent photos. I told him when they got the server we'd need to discuss because it's almost impossible to tell what is light hitting photos versus damage. I said we could do that when he came back. Except he wasn't the one who came to get it. And didn't tell me that. Then the server is ready and Monte coordinates but he didn't come with it. Okay. Pin in that and I'll continue chasing I guess? Except that even in a corner with bad light this server's damage was not all fixed. So now to fight that battle. HOW does an expert wood guy 'miss' it? How, after all this insanity does a manager not review it? All I know is that for MY LABOR trying to right their wrongs, I am out time and money. Neither of which this company will make right. And for anyone who has lost a loved one, this is exactly what you don't want to be dealing with. So I am spending my weekend vetting legal counsel options. Just what I wanted to be doing. And MM's vmail message is 'have a blessed day.' I have no idea what blessed means to them, but dealing with them ain't the path to that.

They think they know everything about moving. Can't tell them anything. Do not believe these ppl, my co worker used to manage miracle movers and he said they under pay their staff and over pay themselves. One manager lady got fired for embezzlement, the truck drivers pick up prostitutes before they go to the customers home, they steal from the customers house's whenever the customers walk away. Oh and if something gets damaged,you will not get a reimbursement. Just enough to save their selves. Everybody is only in it to win it.
