Carl arrived early (he called first to make sure that was okay), and did a thorough job inspecting and explaining what he saw. He removed some unused wire, set us up to use 3 prong receptacles through our whole house (we have 2 wire circuits), and he took a look at some additional rewiring the previous homeowner had done. The house is new to us (but over 50 years old) so we're glad he made sure everything was done well. He was friendly, helpful, cost-conscious, and all-around great! We really appreciate the great work, and we'd be happy to use Miller & Miller again in the future. The only thing I'd mention to a new customer: they only accept cash or check and it must be given immediately after the work is finished. It's not a big deal - just important to remember since many service providers don't operate that way.

Our main contact was Dale Miller (one of the owners). Carl and Joe were the electricians who did most of the electrical work. We enjoyed working with all of them. They were very professional, excellent electricians, and very informed about current electrical codes. They did an excellent job.

We were having our crawl space encapsulated and needed a couple of GFCI outlets added for the air quality equipment. I found Miller & Miller on Anjie's List and left a message after hours. Mr. Miller called me back within the hour and we discussed my needs and what the rough estimate would be based on what I could tell him over the phone. We set up an appointment for within a couple of days. Carl arrived at my house on time (after calling ahead to let me know to expect him). He was courteous, personable, and professional and after discussing what we needed and seeing the electrical box, knew immediately how he would run the dedicated circuit and outlets. Carl got the work done in a timely fashion and cleaned up after himself. The final bill was significantly less than initially discussed on the phone with Mr. Miller; Carl was able to get the work done in a shorter amount of time than originally thought. I was very impressed with Carl and the Miller & Miller company. He advised me this is a small company but they strive for excellence and customer service. As soon as he left my home I emailed the Miller's to let them know what a great job Carl did and I would definitely use their company again. Our subsequent town inspection passed the electrical work and I could not be more pleased.

Good callback response to initial contact. I described the work needed; perhaps because my job was small, I was able to get an appointment for the next day, that was pleasantly surprising, I had expected a week. Day of the appointment, got a call from Carl that he was on the way, arrived at the appointment time. Showed him the service area and what I wanted. About an hour later, the work was done. Quick and professional execution, I was very satisfied.

Had service entrance and breaker panel replaced. Work was neat and clean. Price was close to estimate, higher but not by much. Was happy with work, later had circuit added to my garage. Work was neat and clean. Price was again close to estimate, but this time cheaper. Work is priced based on time and materials, so it is straightforward. Would hire again.

We have a second home near Raleigh and we needed indoor lighting replaced in several rooms and really wanted it done before the holidays. Being fairly busy, the time got away from us and it was the early part of December before I contacted Dale and Gail regarding our proposed project. Since, we are not in NC all the time, they arranged their schedule to fit ours. The work was done with such precision and detail and every fixture looks fantastic. I normally do not put a grade on a company, but Miller & Miller Electric is definitely an exception. The techs are neat and you could not even tell that there were tradesmen working in our home. I encourage anyone who needs electrical work in the Raleigh area to contact this company. Their professionalism is something that we have NEVER experienced before with any home repair/decorating/rehabilitation project that we have contracted out. All the work was handled curteously and professionally. Mr. Miller responded promptly to my request via Angie's List for a quote. He spent time on the phone with me asking a number of questions so that he could give me as accurate an estimate as possible. I accepted his bid and the work was completed two days later. The service technician, Joe, was curteous and professional. His work was meticulous, at my asking he installed two extra outlets, he did a great clean up job, and when all the work was completed, the final bill was within $1.00 of the original estimate. Honest and good - can't ask for more than that.

This is the third time we've used Miller Electric. Consistently happy with their service. They installed fans in the kids' rooms to replace old light fixtures, and replaced a broken fan in the master bedroom. They also replaced some outdated switches. The fans are sturdy and look great. And they are keeping our rooms cool! I can always trust the Miller team to do a solid job, and to communicate immediately at all stages of the process. It's rare to find someone to do work on your home who you can trust -- glad I have. Will work on my next list soon.

We were impressed that the owner, Dale Miller, personally gave us the estimate, discussed several options and was able to offer a quick date to get it done. His crew was meticulous about not disrupting things and vacuumed up the sheet rock dust as they cut holes. They found an unforeseen obstruction within the wall where I wanted the dimmer but reviewed options with me and together we chose an option which took more time on their part but they honored their estimate. The job was quickly finished and looked great. We were very pleased. The lighting level is great for nights and when detail work is needed plus offers uniform lower level lighting as needed. About 1 1/2 months after the install we noticed one light flickered occasionally but initially felt it was probably temporary and would stop. When it didn't, we called the company and without any hesitation, they sent one of the installers back out with a replacement lamp and orders to correct the problem at no charge. He replaced the lamp and the problem has not reoccurred. It was indeed a pleasure to have such professionals do this work. We have recommended them and will do so again plus keep them in mind for any further work we might need.

Miller and Miller have done multiple jobs for us. The first one was an extensive renovation of our older home to replace the existing 200 amp service to 400 amp service in order to install a Tesla charger in the garage. They also traced out, arranged and labeled all the circuits on the panel so we now know where everything is. This required a completely new breaker panel to be added, extensive rewiring, new GFI's added, etc. With this project, they worked closely with Duke Power and the Town of Cary to coordinate burying the cable and ensuring all phases of the project were completed on schedule. We also worked with them to install new lighting in our kitchen and den. Both projects were handled professionally with attention to detail and high quality of service. We are very pleased with the work Dale and his crew have done for us and would definitely recommend them to others.

Wonderful! Our lights work beautifully we are thrilled. Carl and Joe removed the old cement foundation of the previous lights. Built frames to use as a template for the new cement foundations. Rewired for the new lights, we have acres, and installed the new fixtures. These lights were along our 300 ft. driveway, not near the house. The job took about 5 hours for 2 men to complete. They also updated our electric panel with the proper circuit breaker. This is the second time I had the pleasure of working with Joe and Carl. I can't say enough about what a nice experience is was to work with Miller and Miller. They RETURN calls promptly, which is huge these days, and REMEMBER to follow up.

A wonderful experience - we had to get some safety-related repairs done in a hurry to the outside electrical box on our house. Dale and Gail coordinated everything including obtaining the permit, working with the inspector, and working with the power company to turn off/on the power. This was no easy task given the short turnaround, and they kept me in the loop the entire time to make sure I knew what to expect and what needed to be done. The repairs went smoothly and everything was as promised. I couldn't have been happier. I will definitely use them again.

The solutions they recommended were all very good, especially the motion sensing flood lights. There were a few tricky installation challenges which the technician solved quite easily. It was obvious he was familiar with the range of products on the market and had picked ones best suited to the job. I spoke to both the company owner and the installer over the phone prior to the work and as a result they arrived with a clear idea of the work needed. That speeded up the job, as I had saved up a few small jobs that could be done with one visit. They met the appointment time exactly as promised. I could tell they were quite conscious of doing work that was pleasing in appearance as well as function. It was a pleasure to work with them.

FABULOUS! Dale, Carl and Joe came yesterday 8:30 on the dot. Got to work, figured out the problem asap. They fixed all my problems. I am so happy! Our lights WORK and turn on and off as programmed. They are due back to install more lights. It was too cold to pour cement, so I will update. I HIGHLY recommend this company. Professional, courteous, and very smart! The best electricians period.

Dale showed up on-time. Spent 20 min taking down the light fixture to find that it was not a electrical problem but the light's wires were damaged and I would need to replace the light. He apologized and wish he could have had it working but I had to just buy a new one. He asked if there was anything else electrical around the house that he would look at with no additional charge. Very professional, would highly recommend.

I had to reschedule the appointment several times and Gail could not have been more accommodating. Crew arrived on time and did an excellent job. No reservations what so ever recommending this company.

Dale and Gail worked with my schedule and the contractor was able to come out and do the job sooner than I expected. I feel bad that I don't remember the contractors name (I think it was Carl or Ricky), but he did a great job. My place did not have hookups for ceiling fans in either of the bedrooms, so I first needed someone to do the electrical work, so they could also install the ceiling fans. Initially, he thought he would need to make several holes in the ceiling and walls in order to get the electrical wiles to run behind the wall to hook up to the fuses at my light switches. When the job was completed, I had only one ceiling hole in one bedroom, and the other bedroom had one ceiling hole and a cut-out in the wall. That's it! Only three pieces to patch. The cutouts, may I say, were perfectly cut, and made it very easy to patch up the ceiling and wall. It's nice to see that an electrician has great skill in cutting drywall, too. He had to make an improvement in my fuse box in order to accommodate the new electrical, and it looks great. He also consulted me on how I wanted to change my single light switch in each bedroom to operate the fans. We agreed on three switches, and I'm glad we did. I like that he consulted me first. The ceiling fan installations are beautiful and work very nicely; there's no rocking against the ceiling, so it means they did their job to level and secure the fans. He initially quoted me 6-8 hours worth of work, but ended up completing it in about 4 hours. With the quality of work completed, it's obvious the guy has plenty of experience in his trade, and takes pride in his work. I would recommend Miller & Miller Electric Inc, and would use them again.

The electrician was very friendly & professional. He called to let me know when he would be arriving and was on time He explained what was causing the problems with some of our switches and then replaced them. He also check all the others to make sure they were working correctly. Quality work in a timely manner.

A message was left on Saturday and I was not expecting hear back until Monday. Dale contacted me on Sunday and was able to get the job on the schedule for the next day as he had a cancellation. On Monday were informed that Joe would be out by early afternoon to perform the work. From the moment he arrived Joe was professional, courteous and respectful to us and our home. We were extremely pleased with the work performed as well as our interaction with Dale and Gail. Miller & Miller electric is a top-notch company and we would certainly use them again.

Great experience. Dale gave us the initial estimate on the work. He spent a good amount of time discussing the different options and the layout at our home. Dale & Gail then had us to the office to discuss the types of lighting, layout and cost. The initial discussions were very thorough and helpful. The guys who came to the house to do the work couldn't have been any more professional, polite and competent. Our impression was that the electricians did a great job and completed the work quickly and efficiently. We intend to use them again.

I called as a new client and Gail called me back right away. Dale then tried to ascertain over the phone if I needed them or not....what great people! I was worried I wouldn't find someone to come out last minute on a Friday but I didn't have to worry with this company. They sent Joe out and he was there mid-day when I had just called and spoke to them that morning. Joe was great! He showed me what I should have seen in the breaker box and then noticed there was something wrong with the switch. Everyone was very professional. I wish I could find more companies like this one. Will definitely use again and have already recommended to others. If I could give them an A++ I would.

Joe and Carl installed the fan and did a fantastic job. They called ahead to make sure we were ready and showed up promptly thereafter. They were both very friendly and talked through each aspect of the job to be certain it was completed how I wanted it. Got the job done very quickly and showed me how to operate the remote. In addition, they did not pressure me but asked about other potential services I might want done. Fan looks great and I would definitely use Miller and Miller Electric again.

Miller & Miller is a first-rate operation. When I called and left message about my need my call was returned very quickly. They asked all the right questions and were understanding about my own lack of knowledge. Gave me a best and worst case estimate and scheduled the work earlier than I was even hoping for. Arrived on schedule, after calling ahead. The technician, Carl, reviewed things with me and explained best approach which made perfect sense to me. Took great care with everything and you just knew you were in good hands. Cost turned out to be roughly half of what I had anticipated. The day after Miller & Miller had performed this job I received a return call from another Angie's List highly rated electrician that I had called at same time I called Miller & Miller. Glad I had called Miller & Miller and will be anytime in the future when I need electrician.

I requested Mr. Dale Miller to install 4 motion sensors in place of existing flood lights and fresh install one motion sensor light. His estimate was $250-$350. The technician came late without the required equipment, did not complete the agreed job but still charged $300. He replaced 3/4 lights and did not even get started on the fresh install. I was advised to reschedule. When I called Dale, I was shocked to hear that I wasted the technician's time and it was only an "estimate". In fact, the technician become sick and I let him rest in the house to cool off. Initially he wanted to charge me for that time too. Charging in 15 minute increment is a gimmick when the technicians take so much more time than the estimate. They should give a quote for a job, and complete the job. Giving unrealistic estimates by phone and not coming prepared to complete the agreed job is not fair for the customer. I would not use Miller and Miller again or recommend them to any one. I will contact another electrician to do this work. What a waste of MY time.
