We had the lights installed last week -- the repairman was on time, very courteous and tidy, and the lights look great.

Responsiveness was great. I emailed for an appointment. In less than 24 hours I had an appointment booked for two days out, despite the fact they were short-handed. Dale was originally scheduled to come but due to illness, Zach came out instead on the appointed date and time. We received a call the night before letting us know of the change. I was not at home when Zach came so my assessment is based purely on what my husband said. Zach checked the outside entry light and said it would cost more to repair than to just buy a new light fixture. He then checked the landscape light and said it might also need to be replaced. This is a light that routinely goes out once a year. We usually have our landscape co. fix it but since Zach was coming out to check the front entry light, we figured he could check the landscape as well. It's not uncommon for the electrical cord to become disconnected from the fixture. Once reattached, it works fine. I have no idea what Zach did - whether he trenched down to reattach anything or not. All I know is he got it going with a faint flickering light. Total cost - $150 for 1/2 hour of time. $55 for the service call and $95 per 1/2 hour. One of two lights sort of "repaired." As an aside, I messed with the light bulb when I got home and now have a full beam. To recap - great customer service. Made appointment quickly, kept us up-to-date with phone calls and Zach was very polite. They did not disclose their rates during any call, but I never asked. If the front porch light needs to be replaced, then I appreciate Zach's honesty in disclosing that upfront so we didn't pay hundreds for a repair. Having said that, I think $150 for 1/2 hour is a tad expensive but I have not used an electrician in over a year so don't know what the going rate is. Would I use them again? Maybe (not an option on Angie's List). I would probably call someone else first for price quote before making my decision.

They were very courteous, the price was very reasonable.

When I called with the problem (some circuits not working), they suggested that the problem might be outside the house, and therefore I should call a power company before calling them back, as they would have to charge me if they came out. I called the power company, who fixed the problem. Miller & Miller were friendly, courteous, and patient. They helped solve my problem, even though they made no money on it.

M&M were recommended by the dealer who sold the fixtures. They responded promptly and competently. The post lights were a difficult job because they replaced very old fixtures in an unusual installation, but Dale solved the problems and got the job done.

It went very well. Gave me an estimate over the phone that was accurate. Suggested that I pick out fixtures ahead of time to save time and money. Scheduled for a day when I could be there. Electrician who came was very pleasant and professional. M & M even split the service fee because my next door neighbor also needed a repair and we scheduled appointments back to back. I highly recommend this company.

Work was done quickly and efficiently. Person doing the work was polite, friendly and trustworthy. I would definitely recommend this company to someone else.

My electric meter was stolen just before a tenant was to move-in and I was in a real bind. I called several contactors and no one could help me until the following week. I spoke to Gail and then Dale, and after I explained my predicament, Dale shifted his schedule around and came out that afternoon to look at the problem. He explained what needed to be done and scheduled the work for 1st thing the following morning, then stuck with it throughout the day despite rain. His good reputation with the Raleigh Inspection Dept also enabled me to convince the inspector to come out late on a Friday afternoon to approve the work.

From the first time I called and spoke to Gail, I knew I had the right company! She is very friendly (but not solicitous or insincere) and told me Dale would call me back that evening to talk more specifically about my problem. When he did, we set an appointment and I was told that the electrician would call me when he was on his way; this call was the only thing that didn't happen, but Zack was on time to the minute and a professional all the way.

Never got an estimate, didn't feel I should have to pay for an estimate.

Called Miller and Miller, from work, with an odd electrical problem. Gail asked if we could work through some tests on the phone first, saving me money. I explained that I was at work and wouldn't be home until after 9pm. She said no problem. I called after work and we worked through the easy checks. They explained their pricing up front. Dale had a block of time available the next day, fortunately I had that day off. Dale called with eta and showed up on time. After explaining what had happened and what had been checked he ran his tests. Luckily no wires had been pierced, breakers were in good condition. At the time of the electrical incident the power company was working on the transformers in this sub-division. Dale felt that it was a coincidence between the transformer work and my using of the outlets (blow dryer), not an issue with the picture hanging. Though I had used picture hanging hardware he had a recommendation for a better style and where it could be found. He also asked that I call if anything strange happened with my electric system after he left. There has not been any problem since. I can not tell you how relieved I was to know my house wasn't going to burn down, and that I had someone to call. Both Dale and Gail were not only professional, flexible, but easy to talk to, something not always found. I recommend Miller and Miller highly. I also got an Angie's List discount!

So far so good. I've not ran into any problems. They came out and repaired and corrected wiring to two of my house's. They are Prompt and Professional.I will use this company again.

Excellent they were on time and they were polite it took approximately 2 hours, and no I don't get shocked when the water outlet outside gets wet. I would use them in the future, I was very pleased.

The kitchen lighting fixture was the original that was installed when the house was built, in 1966. During the initial phone contact, after a few questions he suggested that it was likely that the wiring in the fixture had aged to the point of decay where it would cause a problem. As such he suggested that we obtain a new fixture before his visit, indicating that we could return it if the original fixture was not the problem. He inquired as to how soon we needed it repaired. I told him the kitchen was dark. He said that he would be with us the next day at about 5pm. I assumed that he was squeezing us in at the end of the day. The next day he had a gap in his schedule and called to see if he could arrive in the early afternoon, which was fine with us. When he got here he verified that the fixture was the problem and proceeded to install the replacement. Examining the old fixture I was able to see that his analysis was correct and the wires leading to he bulbs were in sad shape. Being that the initial installation was done over 5 years ago it was difficult to install the new fixture to the box in the ceiling. He worked at it and completed the installation; however, he was not satisfied with the physical support to the fixture and he reinstalled it after adapting the box so that he could install it with the support that would last another 40 years. Before leaving he volunteered to do some additional work which was not a part of our original problem at no additional cost to us.

My wife had an idea on what she wanted and they kind of created what she was thinking and even made it better and were very professional and friendly and customer oriented.

From the initial phone call to Gail, I knew we had contacted the best company for the job. Gail & her husband Dale were professional & courteous throughout the whole process. Our home was built in 1960 which leads to its own problems. Dale was very knowledgeable about the electricity in our home, as well as, current codes. He was able to identify problems we were unaware of and advise us the best way to safely handle them. Dale was also open to our ever changing needs. The job was done right the first time with nothing left to clean-up.

I was very pleased with Miller and Miller. They were very quick to respond to my call and to come out for an estimate. Dale was very friendly, and helped me work out my electrical issues in the easiest and most cost-effective way. They were very professional and did a top-notch job with everything.

Miller & Miller is a great company to work with. They were very knowledgeable and efficient. We had quite a bit of general maintenance, but also a few challenging areas that were taken care of professionally. I feel very comfortable with all the work that was done on my home.

He arrived punctually and immediately began work on the first box. Each box contained two fluorescent tubes in series so they needed to be wired so they worked from one plug. He laid a carpet he brought with him on our hardwood floor and sat down to perform the work so as not to damage the floor or our stained glass panel - this was thinking ahead! I like the fact he had everything he needed with him and was able to complete the wiring of both light boxes in about an hour. Since he was doing this during our regular business hours I liked the fact he dressed so professionally and was not in the way of our customers.

Dale Miller is excellent. My first contact with Dale was by phone. He spent almost 45 minutes talking to me about the project, potential problems and estimating cost. He scheduled the work to be done within the week. He arrived on time, went right to work. He and his assistant were neat, efficient and creative. They accomplished the job without tearing apart my kitchen ceiling. They cleaned up when they were done and the finished product is great. I just stand and stare at it!!!! I'm already lining up the next project.

Mr. Miller actually called us later to follow up and recommend a HVAC person to help us further. Mr. Miller was incredibly nice and helpful and the person he recommended was also great. My only complaint is that I was charged for very minimal work, even though I know this is their (and everyone's) policy. Overall I would call them again.

Great. I called them two days ago, they called last night to discuss in detail the costs and service involved, and showed up punctually this morning to install it.

The worker who show up worked from early morning to late afternoon. He knew what he was doing and most of all answer all my questions as he worked. Made sure I was satisfied with everything before he left. Several weeks later, the motion light over the garage was not working properly. I called Miller and Miller and they came out and determined the motion light was defected. They bought a new motion light and replaced it at no additional charge to me.

Perfect. The electrician was very professional and took his time putting the chandelier together and he knew what he was doing.

They were very very courteous on the phone and were able to come out the next day. The work was performed on time and in short order. I was afraid the diagnosis would be more dire than just a screwed up outlet and felt that I could have been taken advantage of. The problem turned out to be simple and was corrected on the spot. I was not personally there when the work was performed. The worker was supposed to call me while at house, after completing work but there was some miscommunication. I found out work had been performed the next day. They were very apologetic and fortunately the problem was simple. Also, I paid over the phone and they called me back to tell me they forgot to give me my Angie's list discount, and mailed me a check for the difference--very honest. The cost was $95 to diagnose and fix the problem and $45 for the service call charge.
