1- Discount coupon on website was higher normal rate than the company I ended up hiring. 2- Michael & Sons scheduled to come to my house to perform the service, then they called the day before to tell me they didn't have anyone available to drive the truck, they needed to reschedule. I wasn't happy, but at least they told me in advance. On the day they rescheduled they said they would be there between 8 and noon. I took off work to be there. At 11:30 I called to ask when they would arrive. They told me they didn't have anyone trained to do the work but the person would be trained by the next week, could I reschedule. After I had wasted my vacation day waiting on them, and learned they didn't even have someone on staff to perform the service I requested I had no confidence that it would happen the next week. I asked to speak to a manager. They said one was not available, and they would have them call me. NO ONE EVER CALLED. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE- spend some of the money you spend on your ads to hire and train people for the services you advertise. I will NEVER use them.

Able to come out same day. Brad was very professional. He didn't have the right size water heater on his truck but went and got another the same evening. I thought the price was high based on quick research that I did, but considering they were able to do the work on short notice during evening hours, I was willing to pay a bit more.

It went well except that it didn't pass inspection due to a technicality. He returned promptly, fixed the issue, and it passed.

I had purchased a special from Michael & Son on Angies List. $200 of work for $120. Replacing the kitchen light ran over $200 so the coupon was used up. Other outlets in the bathrooms also didn't work and I asked him what could be done. The man indicated that he could do a comprehensive wiring check for $189. I agreed and began his checks. I has pressing business and had to leave and I paid him $229 by check. When I returned I was very disappointed that none of the bathroom outlets were fixed. So essentially, I had a kitchen light replaced and one outlet in the kitchen for what amounted to and outlay of approximately $350. The individual performing the work had no personality to speak of and communication was less than satisfactory.

My husband and I decided no work was going to be performed. Sometimes the person sent to your home to render service to the customer can turn you off not the so much the company. We previously had electrical work done by someone else, same company and was done with excellence.

It took longer than expected but the technician worked until 7PM to get everything in order. Service appt. was within 4 days of the old one going.

Hats off to Aaron with Michael & Son Raleigh. Very professional, courteous, respectful and honest. Aaron arrived on time and quickly troubleshot the repair I needed. He was very careful, organized and neat. I highly recommend Michael & Son of Raleigh and will use them again.

They're pretty good, and very professional. You can tell that they're very serious and they know what they're doing. I signed up for service maintenance kind of thing for several different services of theirs. One of them was for the AC or heating. They came in and admitting my unit was built in 1984 and probably some upgrading was needed on things. I think my heating system was working okay. They came in and said that I need a new one, and that I'm paying out the nose for my heating, and that they needed to do this and that. They said I needed them to service it and the price would be $2000-$3000. They came at the very end of the day. It took yesteryear to decide that's what I needed. I don't have money anymore because I'm paying on the water heater and the electrical panel they installed. I don't have room in my budget for something new, they would have to wait on it. I let Michael and Son know that their service this time was really not very helpful, and I didn't get any work done at the same time. I did use them to get a water heater and re-install an electrical panel. I made it through the winter. I just felt like they were like "hey we can take this woman for a ride." I didn't appreciate it, maybe it was just the individuals that they sent out. They just tried to squeeze me in at the end of the day, at the very last possible minute that I had to leave and go somewhere. That's just not professional to me. That's not what I expected from them. They probably pick and choose their people to do those things.

Terrible. Charged me $167 and didn't find the leak. Another service easily found leak, repaired line. They seemed more interested in selling me an annual contract than fixing a gas leak! I called back and they just told me to call the gas company. I will never use them again. Total waste of money.

Everett was wonderful. Honest and efficient, he replaced two of our toilets' valves and let us know about another part that would need to be replaced in the somewhat near future. The service with tax was quoted for $330, and while I can't speak to whether that is expensive or not for the parts/service rendered, I was able to purchase the deal on Angie's list before I paid to save $80, which was great.

did not hire , refund the coupons, seem you have coupons, they will add a lot more cost to the project to make the different ?

We needed the valve replaced for an outdoor faucet since the current valve broke. They were supposed to come out between 4-5 and came out after 7. But they were good at explaining the issues to me and they did a good job on the repair.

I will be using them again to do some plumbing work at a later date this year.

I use this company often (garbage disposal install, new water heater, new kitchen faucet, outside pipe replacement). Work is always timely and in a professional manner.

Tech was a pro and did a great job!

I called them for the electrical, based on getting them off of Angie's List. While I was talking to them, they said they also had this deal on checking out my air conditioning and heating system and I said well I needed to have that done anyway. It turned out it wasn't the same person. It was a different person that came to check out the heating and air system than the electrician that I hired. I thought it was very expensive. The guy was here a good part of the day. He had to hang 2 ceiling fans and redo the lights on the wall in the bathroom. He replaced another ceiling light fixture. So he was here probably 5 or 6 hours but I was surprised how much it cost. They were pretty reliable, I would just shop around on the price a little bit. They were responsive when I called. Set up an appointment promptly and came when they said they were gonna be here. They did what they said what they were going to do. I haven't had to have them come back to redo anything that they did. Which is a good sign to me. They cleaned up.

Michael and Son's have done a lot of projects and repairs at my home. They are always courteous and respond promptly to my needs. I have left them feedback on other repairs that I have had them do so you can see that I have had them help me numerous times.

They were polite and professional. No problems with anything. Ultimately my decision was based on the brand that was being offered. The sales person from the other company answered all of my questions by email very quickly so I didn't have those kinds of questions for Michael & Son. So in all fairness, I can't say they wouldn't have done that. They were very professional but the decision was made based on the brand being offered, and features and not anything else.

Took most of a day to troubleshoot and repair

The dispatcher I talked to on the phone lied about what could and could not be replaced. Do not trust the people who answer the phone there. They showed up 45 minutes late and constantly tried to upsell their services. Wanted $900.00 to replace two breaker switches. $900 to replace two $20 switches. Also tried to sell me a home warranty. When I asked about cancelling the appointment, they wanted $70 just for showing up. Refused to use the parts I supplied, instead used their own cheap junk. Overall a miserable experience. I ended up paying $260 to replace four switches. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

The Michael and son technician uncovered the problems quickly and was able to get to work immediately.

Harrison was absolutely wonderful. I will honestly say that I have horrible at remembering write reviews and rarely remember the details unless something awful happens. This why my experience with Michael & Son was so amazing. First of all, I was completely unprepared for the visit. I did not have any of the parts available or an actual light fixture with which to replace the one in my kitchen. Harrison was not only patient with me, but went with me to Home Depot to pick out a fixture and any other parts I needed. When Harrison went to replace the kitchen fixture, we discovered a huge whole in the ceiling that was being covered up by a gigantic fluorescent light. Harrison repaired the whole and installed my new light. I will say that Michael & Son as not inexpensive. However, the work is done right and well. Harrison was quick and efficient, even when I was not.

Horrible. They told me what they thought I needed and the price was outrageous. He couldn't perform the service at that time because he didn't have the special tool needed. I had to pay for the diagnostic because if I used the deal that I purchased from AL, they would not credit me for the difference.

The service technician called ahead to let me know when he would be arriving. Once he did, he provided me with an immediate quote on what needed to be done and after I approved it, he took care of the problem quickly and effectively. I would definitely use them again.

Communication, professionalism, and service was excellent. Work required digging down ~4ft, replacing sewage lines, and then filling it all back in. Work took ~5hrs with positive end result. Included reference to the city to check for further damage beneath the road, which turned out correct. City has since been out and repaired the additional damage.
