They showed up even though it snowed. They were on time and professional. They reviewed the plumbing arrangement under the sink and made a recommendation to improve it to prevent further problems. They also noticed the start of a hole in our disposal, which we had not noticed, and replaced that. That saved us a big mess I'm sure.

They were great and I have no complaints. They were clean and did a good job. They had to come over two days because they didn't have all they needed in the truck and they couldn't print me a receipt because the printer was not working, so they had to bring it the second day.

Todd was very professional and he explained everything to us prior to starting his work. Excellent service. Would definelty use them again !!!

Michael and Son did a great job. They were very good. Their price is very reasonable. I was very pleased with their work. They showed me everything how it works and gave me the manual.

It was a rainy day, and the service tech was very diligent in making sure the house was kept clean with booties worn while inside. Since my home was built in the late 1970s, I signed up for a service contract that includes checks of electrical, plumbing and heating/cooling systems, something that I've never actually had done before. The peace of mind that comes with making sure everything is safe is so valuable. Any actual repairs made come with a 5-year warranty. Although the provider arrived a bit late, I did get a call advising me that the time of arrival would be on the later side, and the service provider called just before the end of the window to say he was on the way. He was about 20 minutes late. The service technician, Darrell, was very polite and informative.

It was fine. I had no problems with them at all. They were pretty quick on coming over. They are freeze in a bowl and does a quick service. They were good.

It was very easy to schedule an appt. and everyone we spoke to was very professional. I guess this may fall into the "you get what you pay for" category, because we felt that the plumbing inspection was very cursory and ended up being just a sales tool for them to sell water purification systems and other services. I understand that this is the motivation for them to offer such a fairly priced inspection, but I was hoping that the technician would spend more time on the inspection. We have a fairly large house (4 baths) and he spent approximately 15 minutes inspecting the whole house and then a little additional time testing the water quality. He seemed to be very knowledgable and experienced, but we were disappointed by the fact that the delivery of the findings (sales pitch) took longer than the inspection itself.

The Plumber - Jason- was early! He called ahead of time and was very polite and courteous. He came in the home prepared and was able to diagnose my problem withing 15 minutes. He corrected the issue and gave me helpful tips to avoid the issue in the future. While in my home he gave me a home inspection to help me plan other items that will need attention soon. I appreciate the care, knowledge and attention give by Micheal and Son's and there Plumber Jason.

My experience was dissatisfying. They had very poor communicate skills. They put a huge hole through my home. It took them 6 weeks to respond to my complaint. They left a huge mess and I would not recommend this company to others.

It was easy to schedule an appointment. The plumber was on time, and was very professional. He had to cut open the wall to see the issue, and then he told us exactly what was wrong and why, and what he would need to do to fix it. He gave us a quote which included the cost of a replacement pipe, and completed the job the same day.

They are good and new to the area. I called them thew wrong time but they came right out and they were very professional, and did an excellent job. They didn't try to sell me anything. Everything was safe.

It actually ended up costing more than what I was expecting. I had purchased a Big Deal for $129 for $200 worth of electrical service. When I called to set up the appointment, they said they could not give an estimate over the phone, it seemed like pricing was more based on individual technician. He did itemize the receipt and broke down everything he did and the charge associated with it. However, I just would have liked to know about the other charges before the work had been done.

The total run was less than 30 feet - the estimate was in the area of $1,700. After calling PNG they sent a contractor out to do it for less than $600 and did a great job. The tech was very professional, they clearly care about their image which I liked, but the price was out of this world.

It was a pleasure to deal with plumbing technician Brad on our plumbing issues, he was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained what he was doing in easy to understand language and took care of all four of our problems (three of them not even what we had initially called for service for) quickly and efficiently. As Brad told us, Michael and Son stocks all their company trucks with a variety of high-end supplies so their technicians can handle almost any situation as the need arises. We will not hesitate to use Michael and Son's services in the future and will specifically ask for Brad if he's available.

The electrician they sent out was very professional, respectful, and knowledgeable. He did the work quick, explained what he was doing, and cleaned up his mess afterwards. The price with the coupon couldn't be beat. He came out the same day I called too! I would definitely recommend them again.

It went wonderful. Darrell Robinson was our electrician and he is an absolute pleasure to work with. Very knowledgeable, friendly and professional.

Very helpful. No hard sell for services. I was very appreciative.

I called angies list to find out process to return my money after tech left and suggested I call manager to work out deal. She wasn't even crediting the $200 I "apparently" bought for $119. I thought I was buying a service call from a plumber. Anyway, the tech was nice, but not in a position to use my "credit" and perform the service within the time. Note: she arrived at 5:45 pm and did not understand how to put the deal in her computer and the cost until 6:15 pm (on a Friday night). She said she needed my signature to agree to costs before beginning any work. That's when I questioned the total cost--and she said she understood. As I mentioned, I called a local competitor, and have a plumber coming for an hour for $89. Thanks for the return to my AMEX.

This is an update to the original review. I finally called the General Manager back in Sept 2015. The conversation was excellent and he understood why I was upset and he explained, very well, the position of the company. He did so well that I will give them another shot for my next plumbing upgrade. When I called the local number, I was electronically transferred to the national call center in Maryland (I think it was Maryland). I did not realize this and the phone transfer was done automatically. So...when the company answered I asked my question: "How much is it to remove a toilet and install a handicapped (higher bowl)toilet? The young girl who answered was at a loss to say anything at first. I asked if they was someone else available (still thinking I was speaking to a person in Raleigh). She explained me that pricing guides did not exist and that no one could even give me a ballpark estimate. No problem..how to de we proceed? I was told that a person would come out and be happy to give me and estimate....all I had to do was pay for a service call. No. I wanted to go ahead and just set up a visit to remove and install. Nope. That's not how they do business. So, if you are stupid and have more money than God, call them and pay for a visit so they can tell you how much the real work will cost. THEY DO NOT DISCOUNT THE INSTALL IF YOU GO AHEAD AND GET THEM TO DO THE WORK AFTER THE FIRST PAID VISIT. Let me explain, if you go to Low'es or Home Deport to buy carpet, you must pay for someone to go measure the room(s)...if you godhead and buy from them, that cost is deducted from the total cost of the purchased and install. Not so with Michael and Sons. Avoid them. They will rip you off.

After an unpleasant experience with Michael and Son, I contacted Lou and and he made sure I was left satisfied. He sent over a plumber to fix a faucet that had been leaking when re-installed by another Michael and Son plumber the previous day. When the plumber fixed the faucet, he noticed that our dishwasher, which had just been installed several weeks prior (not by Michael and Son), was hooked up to the cold water line. So our dishes were getting washed in cold water. Apparently whoever installed the lines originally got the hot and cold reversed, and the dishwasher installer didn't know that, so he connected what he thought was the hot water line, but turns out it was the cold water line. So the plumber connected the dishwasher to the hot water. He also suggested that we replace our garbage disposal which was near end-of-life. So we bought a new one from Michael and Son and had it installed. The plumber was very friendly and easy going. My husband enjoyed talking football with him. I am very grateful that Michael and Son came back out to fix the faucet. If the plumber hadn't noticed that our dishwasher was connected to the cold water, we would have kept using it, washing our dishes with cold water. We had noticed that it didn't seem to be cleaning well and the dishes weren't dry the next day. We thought it just might be the dishwasher wasn't as good as we hoped. But ever since it's been fixed to connect to the hot water, it cleans great and dries well too. We are thankful that is fixed, even though we didn't know there was a problem! Although the service performed the second time around was top-notch, I likely would not use Michael and Son again due to the high prices that were the subject of my original displeasure. But after the second visit, I definitely feel like I got my money's worth. I would use Michael and Son again only if I have a huge issue that needs the utmost quality. But if if I ever need another faucet replaced, I would call someone else.

My wife and I noticed a leak in our crawl space below our bathroom and figured that the toilette was leaking, so we contacted Michael and Son after seeing an add on TV. Service was prompt and plumber was nice. However, I was expecting a bill of about $300, only to receive a bill for $800. When I asked what the plumber did, I learned that he replaced the wax-ring on the toilette, installed a new supply line, and also did a "major rebuild" of the tank. The toilette was not having any problems flushing the day before, so I was very surprised by the "major rebuild." He also left a hole in my drywall where he inspected for signs of leakage that I later repaired myself (to his credit, he did ask my wife before making the hole). I spoke with the general manager, Lou, on the phone, and he was courteous and reduced the cost by nearly half, but I still feel that nearly $400 was too much for the services that were rendered (basically took off the price of the "major rebuild" that wasn't needed in the first place). I could buy a brand new toilette and have it installed for the original price I was charged. I am willing to pay a high price for speedy, quality service, but I feel that Michael and Son is price gauging, and tries to add on additional services that aren't in fact needed. I wanted to file a BBB complaint, but didn't because Lou was understanding and worked with me on reducing the cost, which I appreciate. But like I said, I still paid too much in the end. Now that I am a member of Angie's List, I figured that this information was worth sharing to alert other potential customers.

Cordial, on time. I have had 3 plumbers in to fix the low hot water pressure in my kitchen so I was relieved that this person was able to that. In addition, he replaced the disposal that caused a significant water leakage. He showed me what was wrong with the various components which helped make the price a little easy to swallow.
