Another wonderful experience with Michael and Sons we have used them 5 times now this year for different things (HVAC, Plumber, Electrician) and ever time it is the best service. William our plumber was nothing but professional, offered advice and did a very good job in fixing our issue. We had a leaking bathtub and shower that needed pipes replaced and we ended up needing to cut into the drywall below. He fixed the issue and put the drywall back into place with very clean lines (most plumbers are not as thoughtful). He was friendly, professional and quick. Wonderful job overall William!

It was pricey but the service was topnotch. You get what you pay for. I always want to give them a 10 but the prices are high.

Went very well. Christian was really great, very personable, explained what he was doing and options. Very professional. Even showed me the difference between powered socket and unpowered. Took his time to do the job right. Cleaned up after, no issues.

Overall experience was very good. Very professional, timely, clean, etc. Very expensive. Had this done at old home (other side of town) by a local guy (licensed electrician, independent operator) for half this price ~5 years ago, but he has retired.

I think the pricing for the coupon was good but my only criticism would be that if he had to repair or change anything no matter the cost of the material it was astronomical. Other than that I was very happy and would definitely use him again.

service provider representative called me 1 day &30mins before their on time arrival @8am to confirm. after a short intro we discussed work needed and costs, where i was made aware that an additional cost of $106.22 would be added to the angie's list coupon $129.00 for $200 of licensed professional elect. work. My project is included on their list of covered services and was only 10 feet away from the power source. it was explained to me that the coupons doesn't account for parts nor hours worked on project . I wanted the installed so i reluctantly consented and with little interruption of electrical services i continued working at my computer while services were being performed. Chad, the electrician was very professional and informative about the installation and other services the company offered and even provided me with a free estimate of future work i will need in a different area of the house. with the installation and free estimate ending roughly at 10am we said our good byes and wished each other well. a grade of "A" was given for especially being quiet and efficient during the install but with a small minus for the unexpected additional cost (so, no angies list member savings ).

They did a very good job. They were also prompt and courteous.

It went really well. There was just one worker and he was very good. He was right on time, he did his job and probably talked a little bit too much but other than that he did real good work. The service cost about $119. I would use him again.

The person that did the work was very nice, professional, and knowledgeable. He explained in detail what he was doing and did a great job. The price was a little steep in my opinion but the job was done right.

Eddie did an excellent job!. He assessed the problems and advised how much it would cost prior to starting the repairs. I was very satisfied with the outcome and will definitely use Michael & Son again for any future plumbing needs.

We recently purchased an 18 year old home with an original Carrier packaged unit downstairs and a 10 year old Goodman AC unit upstairs. The original owners had serviced both units prior to closing, but they were essentially on borrowed time. We had recently worked with Michael & Son to replace the attic fan and had a good experience so I reached back out to have someone take a look at the HVAC to find out why we couldn't get the temperature below 78/79 degrees in the house. The technician was very candid and confirmed what we already knew. We were given a few options: (1) Perform a leak test and/or add a few pounds of R22, (2) Replace the original Carrier unit, and (3) Replace both units. The leak test was going to be an additional $275 and given that the units had just been serviced 45 days prior, the problem was symptomatic of a leak. The units were also running constantly because they were unable to cool the house to the desired temperature. A coil in an 18 year old unit is also non-existent and due to the inefficiency of that unit the Goodman unit had been overworked and was likely going to need to be repaired in the near future. With summer temperatures on the rise, we opted to replace both units. I honestly do not know how the pricing compares with other providers, but I was thoroughly impressed by the responsiveness and professionalism that I received from Michael & Son. I had a technician come to my home in the morning and setup a second appointment that afternoon to receive a quote and the new HVAC system was installed a day later. We were extended a multi-system discount and educated about a rebate available from Duke Progress. They filled out all of the paperwork for the warranty, rebates, and permits. We were also given the option to finance the new system for 5 years. Overall, I am very pleased with Michael & Son. They are detailed, organized, responsive, professional, and they stand by their work. I would highly recommend Michael & Son and definitely use them again in the future.

He showed up on time and was very polite and courteous. He explained all the things he was going to do and tried to fix the front flood light and fixed the garage lights. All the work I wanted done was done properly and timely. Sadly the garage lights only seemed to work while he was there and they still only come on once every five times I flip the switch but I'm guessing that's a bigger issue than we thought. Overall this was a great company and I am very happy with the work they did for the surge protection.

They couldn’t find the particular electrical problem in our house. They were trying to offer all kinds of things like redoing the electrical wiring of the whole house and everything. That’s really not what it needed so we had to call another place or another individual.

Jasper was very fast and professional. I was very pleased with his work and his thoughtfulness.

Overall happy with service. Michael and Sons was able to send a technician out the same day as called to investigate what we thought might be a burning receptacle. Technician was on time, professional and took the time to explain and thoroughly investigate the issue. Ended up only replacing one duplex receptacle that was not working and testing outlet that we thought could be burning.

I was not as pleased with the service. They did not give it the attention that I had hoped, and I should have realized that being a national brand. They were respectful but did not give the personal level of service that I had expected.

Michael & Son scheduling was friendly and prompt. Plumber was on time. His work was fine -- it wasn't complicated. That's about all I can say that was good. On the negative side, I was flabbergasted by their proposed pricing for various services. And I was even more annoyed that everything that came out of the plumbers mouth was a sales pitch. I needed very specific work done, did not need to be sold other work, and got very tired very quickly of the leading questions and salesy approach. I had purchased a deal for $119 covering $200 worth of service. Little did I know what was coming my way... outlandish prices for service with absolutely no flexibility in terms of how they priced. They just punched a service into their computer and out popped a price no matter how simple or complicated the actual work might be. For example, after showing the plumber the various small jobs I needed completed, he gave me a quote for well over $300 to inspect and replace a single outdoor frost proof faucet on the side of my house. Are you kidding me? He quoted over $300 to pull a toilet and inspect it, regardless of whether any actual repair was needed. It didn't matter if the job would take 15 minutes or an hour. They offered just one price. Period. We asked him to look at the other toilets in the house and see if changing out the flushing mechanisms (valves, flappers, etc) would improve performance. He said no, and it would cost over $200 per toilet to change out the mechanisms and instead we should consider replacing the toilets entirely... with their recommended $700 toilets of course! He even described a scenario I didn't really understand under which he might have had to drain all the water from the house for an additional charge of approximately $150. Thankfully we avoided that. We begrudgingly agreed to have him install the two kitchen faucet elements and install one toilet for total service fees of $550 (including the $81 discount for their service "deal") since we absolutely needed had to have them replaced. That's $630 worth of service ($550 actually paid with the AL coupon) with just a few bucks included for materials. And he completed all the work in about 2.5 hours. Meaning he got roughly $220/hour for that work. Then of course the plumber had the nerve to start fishing around about our water heater asking if it was in the attic, how old it was, etc. I realize they can leak and cause problems but he was clearly only interested in seeing if he could make us feel uneasy about our water heater situation and sell another "urgent" service to us. The quality of the work was fine. For a plumber, it was basic work. But I cannot for the life of me understand how they can have the nerve to aggressively sell such outrageously overpriced materials and services. Their one-price-only business model is ludicrous, and I'm shocked that I did not see others making note of this. How could they charge hundreds of dollars for individual services on a standardized basis regardless of the time or effort required? Perhaps this one plumber is their most aggressive. I don't know. I cannot explain it. But I will NEVER, EVER call them again for anything. I feel like an idiot for not having the Michael & Son plumber leave as soon as he gave me the first quote. But I had already paid for the "coupon" (some deal!) and needed the work done. So I caved and got cheated. Never, ever again.

The service for the improperly installed toilet was great and Eddie was our tech. He explained everything and did a great and clean job fixing the problem so this will never happen again (there were many things wrong with the installation). We will have him come back and check the other toilets int he house as well, since I am guessing they were installed improperly as well. Eddie was professional, friendly and clean. He did a great job and I would ask for him next time.
