The technician couldn't fix my issues with the bathroom fan or light fixture, which I wasn't necessarily expecting to be done in the timeframe I purchased but e provided a quote for both to be fixed. With NO pressure to get it done. He installed my new light fixture without any issue

Neal Harris from Michael and Son installed a new hot water heater for me. I simply cannot say enough good things about him and Michael and Son!!! Not only did Michael and Son get me an appointment within a couple of days, but the scheduling receptionist did an excellent job of assessing my needs so the right technician and materials were being dispatched. My water heater was 8 years old. Neal said I might have a month of wear left, a day or a year. There's no real way to tell other than looking at the age of the unit. Neal helped me weigh the pros and cons of fixing what was structurally wrong with the thermal overflow tank and keeping the heater, or purchasing a new heater that would of course come with all new attachments and pipes correctly in place. I was the one who first asked Neal if the option of buying a new water heater might be the smartest thing to do, considering the age of the unit and the poor attachment of the over flow tank as well as the overflow drain pipe NOT being attached either! He said considering all of these factors, he agreed with me that purchasing a new unit would be the most reasonable thing to do under the circumstances. As it turned out, the old piping was badly rusted, the tank was badly rusted on the inside, the thermal overflow tank was completely full of water and may have detached and fallen, causing a bad spill on my wood floors. Neal spent the entire day on the installation of the new heater, which was an extremely difficult installation. The crawl space and awkward layout of the cubby for the heater was not conducive to an easy install. Neal worked non-stop all day, called a "runner" in to help hoist the unit up to the crawl space and then stayed until 7:00 pm attaching all of the piping, overflow tank, drain, electrical, etc. He also worked very methodically and carefully, meaning every step of his install was done in a procedural , logical manner, and throughout the install, he maintained a clean work area using drop cloths to protect my floors and move the washer and dryer out of the closet. He was exceptionally professional, displayed a very calm and friendly demeanor, patiently explained the work he was doing when I had questions, and cared for my home throughout the entire process as if it were his own. I decided to purchase the Gold Warranty Plan which comes with a great number of advantages (including emergency service) because I could tell that Michael and Son is a company that is proud of its work, reputation and employees. I could not agree more. In fact, when I need further services, there is no reason why I wouldn't use this outstanding company and tell other to do the same! With such exceptional service and solid workmanship from Neal and Michael and Son, my confidence level is as good as it gets. The toilet sustained a crack that we knew was not fixable, and we would need a new toilet. I called Michael and Son and was treated very courteously and professionally. I was given an appointment for the next day and told that the plumber would have some toilets on his truck but if those were not acceptable he would go that same day to get one that was. He would return and install it - all as part of the same job. It would not be a case of coming out to give an estimate and then wait three more days for someone else to install one. I was able to tell the customer service rep some basic requirements which she added to my order. The next day when Joe Lomax arrived, he knew my requirements and had loaded a toilet on his truck that he hoped would work. It was perfect. He chose a mid-priced toilet, not the cheapest, but neither was it the most expensive toilet with things I didn't need. Mr. Lomax was friendly, polite, and professional. He was careful to put down tarps for removal of the broken toilet and my house stayed clean. At the end of the installation, the transaction was quick. Mr. Lomax did not try to up sell me on future plans, "deals", specials, etc. He is a very cheerful man and I would highly recommend him and Michael & Son to anyone in need of a plumber.

All went fine. Jasper Driver, the electrician was very thorough. He answered all of our questions and was very polite.

Replacement of the faucet fixture was a little higher than expected otherwise price was as expected. He was very informative on all work completed.

Glenn was great. Courteous and professional. Called when he was on his way and even asked about best place to park his big box truck. Every installation seemed to encounter a problem and although he grumbled at times (sounded just like me when I'm doing that kind of work) he continued to work without pause. It really helps that they charge by the job and not the hour since Glenn was here for several hours. I had to run out to get the toilet (TWICE) since I was not expecting him to come until the next day (my fault) and although that caused a bit of a delay in the work he never complained or made us feel it was an inconvenience. First time using this company and will definitely give them more business in the future.

Michael and Son initially installed a water softener for me after Legacy Plumbing did not return my email. However, the installer did not re-route the outside water lines; therefore the outside grass and garden would be receiving softened water, which is a waste or resources and is not healthy for plants. When I contacted Michael and Son about this, they agreed and sent a technician to re-route the lines. However, that technician (who also installed the water softener and claimed that it was OK for the plants to receive softened water) wanted to charge over $500.00, and then tried to sell me equipment that I did not need... but he was going to include that equipment for "free." His initial quote was over $900.00. I contacted Legacy Plumbing, and Quentin charged me $200.00 for the same service. I do not recommend Michael and Son for anything.

The service technician was very nice but the cost to do the work was going to be over $500.00. The cost to fix my refrigerator shutoff was going to be $150.00 by it self. The part from Lowes is $8.00. I have never paid for someone to come out to give me a quote and will never use Michael and Sons again. I strongly encourage you all to find a local contractor to do the work.

Ivan Peev was the technician who provided service. Could not have asked for a nicer or more polite gentleman. Such a pleasure. He was also very clean and tidy with his work, and clearly took pride in the job he performed. Thank you for this service. We have already requested for another job due to this great experience.

Joe L. did a great job installing our bathroom faucet, he is nice and professional, came right on time. He also gave us a good estimate for our kitchen faucet, much affordable than the other plumbing company I called before. I would definitely call again for any plumbing and electrical service I need at my home.

This company is great. We had to call the,pm for emergency service on Feb 22 when our furnace stopped working in the middle of the night. We called at 4:30 am had a return call by 7:30 and a serviceman at the house by 8:30. He discovered that the main electric wiring Box to the furnace had caught fire and completely burned and melted and we were lucky it did not set the house on fire. On that call he he re-wired the furnace electric box and added a dedicated surge protector and a bypass clean out. He recommended we purchase their company's electrical and plumbing annual safety package which we did. They scheduled the inspections for March 4th. They arrived promptly, they inspected very thoroughly and explained everything to us in detail, including any recommendations for upgrades or repairs. The servicemen were on time, called shortly before arrival to let us know they were on their way, and were knowledgable and pleasant. We accepted some of the recommendations for electrical work, such as then whole house surge protection and asked for an estimate for an extra light fixture in the kitchen. Not only did we get the estimate and a reasonable price but he did the work on the spot. There was no question about scheduling it sometime later. He did all the work right then and was done in about 4 hours. Even though it is a new house (built and bought new in 2012) the furnace wiring fire has give us serious doubts about Lennar quality of work and safety. The inspection and upgrades are worth every penny and we will stay with Michael and Sons annual plan. We are budgeting to do some of their recommendations down the road! Cannot recommend them highly enough

the tech seemed unhappy, was not polite, he did know what he was talking about but he seemed to be on a script. tried to sell me sooo many things i didn't need or ask for. Had I done all the work it would of cost me $10,000. I paid a local private plumber $224 to fix the 2 things that needed fix. Michael and Sons will rip you off and sell you a lot of things you don't need. Even the services that I did need were quoted 3 times higher than the guy I went with.

Great. We had a window of 8-12 and Neal was here at 8:15. Neal was very professional and explained to us what he was going to do before he did it. Plumbing work is expensive and I had a bit of sticker shock at the estimate. We used the coupon from Angie's list ($119 for $200) And a 10% senior discount to help with the cost.

Moses was absolutely wonderful! Best service my ducts smelled awful when I turned on the A/C unit and he fixed the problem and cleaned our ducts quickly and his customer service was outstanding! Would suggest Moses for any and all of you HVAC work he is knowledgeable, friendly and helps explain things to the clients. He is a huge asset to the Michael and Sons team. Great employee and work love this company.

Awesome service. Plumber Rob Graham did incredible work. He spent extra time to investigate the problem and come up with the correct diagnosis of what the exact problem was. Instead of performing a super expensive service recommended by another plumber, he figured out that the problem was something else and the right solution was a much simpler approach. He had a great attitude, was comfortable to work with, and went above and beyond with all the extras like making sure he left the work area neater than it was when he arrived. I would definitely recommend Michael and Son services to anyone needing work done.

I was privileged enough to have Joe L. as my technician. He was fantastic from start to finish, he took the time to explain all the details of what he found and what he was doing to repair the issue. He was friendly, professional and promptly on time. Hopefully we don't have any further plumbing issues, but if we do we will certainly call Michael & Son and ask for Joe.

They did a fix on a leak in our water line to the house. It worked for .... maybe a month. Started leaking again. I will never use Michael and Sons again! I believe they overestimate the cost of work and don't even perform work that lasts!

We simply could not be happier with the service we received! We purchased the plumbing inspection and water quality test as a deal from Angie's list for $29 and it is one of the best deals that I have ever purchased. We received a email almost immediately after purchase and Cloe was a pleasure to work with to set up our appointment. On the day of the scheduled service, our plumber, Neal arrived right on time. He was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and thorough. Our house was built in the late 1970's and we had so many questions to ask. Neal was very patient and went out of his way to explain all aspects of the inspection and ensure that all of our questions were completely answered. He is one of the nicest and most competent professionals I have met and we will definitely request him specifically for work in the future. He provided us with so much helpful information and specific ways to upgrade our system, as well as, being honest about things that were not a priority or necessary which we really appreciate. In short, buy this deal and ask for Neal!

Most excellent service. Joe was right on time, explained everything he was going to do, performed the work well and then explained what to do and what to expect when we start to use our water and water heater again, including preventive maintenance.

They did the plumbing inspection but they did not do the water quality tests (they said that they forgot the equipment for the tests). I then got an email about 5 minutes after they left with recommendations for $2000-$4000 worth of recommended repairs.

I thought everything went fine and I was glad he had found the problem with the well pump under house. That was a big plus in my mind.

Joe L. arrived on time after calling to indicate he could come a little before scheduled time. Took care to place a mat at door, put on booties to protect interior of house. Examined problem and then worked through a troubleshooting process of elimination to determine probable causes of problem. Found issue in a defective valve stem which was then replaced and problem was resolved. Joe L. was very polite and very tolerant of DIY homeowner looking over his shoulder. Cleaned up afterwards and made sure I was pleased with work. Price was very fair.
