Edwin Lazo did an amazing job installing three toilets at my property and we loved his work so much we hired him to do three new toilets at my mother's house as well.  Very friendly and professional!!

Our overall experience with Michael & Son was great. I called Tuesday around noon to see about getting a quote. They were able to send an electrician out by 3pm that same day. Chad was great to work with. Very professional, knowledgeable and took the time to answer all our questions. He was even able to perform the job while he was here, which was awesome, as we did not expect that to be an option. Chad came prepared, did an excellent job, cleaned up after himself and even remembered how I had my decorative display items arranged in one of the areas he was working in. We would absolutely use Michael & Son again!

Jacob Nelson, is an ambassador for your firm. I had an extremely positive experience. He was through, polite, informative, did not rush any repairs, and he stayed well beyond the scheduled time to ensure everything was done correctly. Everett was outstanding - removed old water heater and installed a new one on the weekend. Really went out of his way to find a replacement model before Monday and was very professional in letting us know his arrival times - great communication.

The repair took about 45 minutes, maybe less. He cut out the old vinyl piping and replaced it with new material.

Very punctual and helpful advice to buy a new dishwasher rather than repair the old one.

It was fine, they were too expensive. They charged another $122 on the big deal. They put a digital camera down until the street, checked everything and made sure everything was okay. There was a little bit of up selling, but it was not too bad. They explained everything that they were doing. They have enough infrastructure to do it, the first guy came to do it cheaply and when he couldn't do it, another guy came with a truck about an hour later. I liked how they stepped it up and said the cheap way didn't work, but try the more incrementally expensive way.

They give good service, but they are very pricey compared to other people doing the same work. I feel like they nickel and dimed me; they charged me for every little thing. Instead of telling me it costs this much, they break it down to individual prices. It was an insurance claim so insurance paid it. If insurance did not tell me to go with them I would not have gone with them.

It went alright. They did a decent job. They didn't do the water quality test which was a big part, they didn't explain why, and I have been so busy, I never followed up. In my understanding, you can get the water test right out of the faucet. We are on a well system, so I couldn't open up the lid to inspect the well. It takes about 3 or 4 people, it is so heavy, so they didn't do the water quality test. The inspection itself seemed thorough enough. They came out after a couple of weeks. They did not charge me above the $29. They were good about responsiveness and they were professional. I would use them again, it was probably just an oversight.

Great experience, excellent job! Jacob was very helpful and his work exceeded my expectations. He offered for me to call him if I had any other questions that related to the electrical side of overall project. Jacob not only did a very thorough job, the work also looked great afterwards. Our service provider was Joe Lomax and he was exceptional! We had been without hot water for 3 days, going back and forth with our builder on warranty discrepancies. We ultimately decided to contact Michael & Sons and they came to work with us that same day, while other companies weren't available for 1.5-2 weeks. Not only did Joe thoroughly explain the issues with our water heater, he went the extra mile, taking time to track down replacement parts at a local distributor so we wouldn't have to wait 9+ days to receive a shipment from the manufacturer. He then drove an hour each way to pick up the parts, saving us both time and money. He was informative, professional, and an all around good guy. We certainly recommend Michael & Sons!

I was not happy with them. I bought a Big Deal for $119 for $200 of service. They came out and gave me an estimate. You could tell he really didn't want to do the work. So he charged me a $25 or $35 trip fee. He never did the work.

Joe Lomax called 30 minute prior to arrival, arrived on time. Identifed scope of work and presented cost to complete for review/approval. Commenced work, found that gasket was unusual (a very old toilet!) and had to retrieve correct one to fit. Completed all work, excellent cleanup. All work discussion very cordial. Will definitely use these folks again!

Everett provided great service in stopping a leak and then repairing the shower fixture. He was very friendly and professional.

He solved some issues we've had that 3 other electricians couldn't. They were a bit more expensive, but you get what you pay for. The gentleman that came was very pleasant, and made us feel confident in his knowledge and work. He was also very respectful and polite. Even though they might be more expensive, we recommend them over everyone else!

A mixed bag; overall: not well. First, it took about 20 minutes with the call center for me to understand that absolutely no pricing will be given over the phone. I add that the call center contact was pleasant to deal with. Therefore to get any idea of plumbing costs, I had to make an appointment for the plumber to come and say yes, the stop tap under the sink is leading and needs to be replaced, and yes you have no sink/faucet plus a new dishwasher is standing there ready to be installed... It cost $30 (rounded up) to call the plumber to my house to assess the issues. This is after both call center and plumber telling me that they use standard line items and pricing. Yes, I understand that customers don't always know what they're looking at. I would rather be told, "this is an estimate based on our understanding of what you have told us and the actual work could be higher or lower." Then, it seemed a good idea to go for the coupon "$119 for $200 worth of plumber time". So I did. Note: this evening, I see that two purchases show on my Angie's List account. How on earth did that happen? Back to the plumber. He put the items into the laptop and came up with $900+ for the job. It was such a shock I can't remember how many dollars above $900 it was. There was a really cool valve for the replacement, with 2 handles (one to the sink and one to the dishwasher, so you could use the one if the other was out of commission). The cost however was $187 for the valve. This seems a bit steep. Sadly, he didn't carry a regular stop valve in his truck. He kindly offered to check any discount coupons he may have available; and we came up with $700+ as the quote. I just wasn't ready to spend $700 or $800 on plumbing when I hadn't had the opportunity to get other quotes to compare. Yes, certainly, we are talking about a large professional outfit with 'vetted' employees (licensed, bonded, insured...). And since then, I have done some homework and found that perhaps the $700+ quote is more reasonable. But $187 for a valve I don't want (no doubt a plumber licensed in NC can say whether that 2 handle type is required by code, like it was where this plumber had come from). So, I declined the services and paid for the call-out or diagnostic charge, about $30. Michael & Son call center called to confirm that I have to ask Angie's list for the 2 x $119 to be refunded. I hope that works out OK and presumably will have the opportunity to write a review about how well that worked.

Awful, total waste of time. Total scam to try and get someone to severely overpay for simple services. No telling how many people in a day they get to say "yes" but they didn't get me. I will never use this company again for anything.

The plumber came over to make the pipeline through. First time, he made the kitchen pipeline through. I paid using the coupon plus the extra that he charged. The total was close to $300. When he was there, it was clean and the water could go through. But, after five days, the water slowed down and then, in about a little bit over a week, the plumbing was totally blocked. So I called Michael & Son again. The operator said that he would send the technician over without a charge. But the same technician came over saying, "I just guarantee, when I left that it should go through, which I did. Then, there is no warranty after that." So I had to pay another $200. He checked the connected pipeline and finally made it through. Now it has been okay.

After hearing all the TV and radio ads, we thought that this was a great company to deal with. The young man who came to our house was unpleasant (short answers and lecture type of explanations). He could not identify the problem right away, instead he focused on how he felt that our heater was not installed properly and wanted to know who installed it. He did get to the problem in question, but was unable to do the repair because he didn't have the necessary part. It was Sunday, so I understood. We asked him for an estimate; he prepared it in his truck, which took about 20 minutes. It was more than we expected. We told him we'd talk about it and get back to them. We called someone else and ended up with a much better price and a more pleasant plumber.

Top notch from beginning to end! I was very impressed with the professional and courteous men that came out to do the service. One of their employees, Brent even found and alerted us to the potentially dangerous state of our outlets and switches (we had called for them to check out our disposal.) I felt completely at ease with the men (plumbers and electricians who came to do the work.) We also appreciated that Brent was there throughout the entire project.
