Description of Work: Gave an estimate for running an underground electricity supply to a backyard fountain installation. After seeing their estimate, approximately 3x the average of two other contractors' estimates, I decided not to hire them. Michael and Son had done one job for us(install new kitchen overhead light fixture) I cannot fault their overall professional appearance, on-time performance and cleanup afterward, but their prices are very high

Description of Work: Installed a whole house water filter system, fixed shower, installed new stopper in bathroom. Felt like their pricing is too high. I also had them to install a new expansion tank on my hot water heater and this did not solve the problem...that pricing was in line b/c I had someone else quote that for me several months ago. I feel like the price for the new hot water heater was too high.

Description of Work: Our painter put a hole in a water line with a nail gun. They were able to come out within a couple of hours to fix the problem.

Description of Work: Repaired broken water pipe in the wall between the kitchen and hot water tank. Estimated and charged for 4 hours of work although in actuality took less then 3 hours for the repair to be complete. Cost was expensive for not an extremely major job.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal for $129 for $200 of licensed professional electrical work.

Description of Work: Mr. James Holt with Michael and Sons did a home plumbing inspection on 9-18-14. I made an appointment to have a new toilet put in on 9-22-14. Mr. Holt was on time with both appointments and did a wonderful job. He was also very knowledgeable and didn't leave a mess. The new toilet and removal of the old toilet was $445.00 which included a 10% discount. The inspection was $29. I was very pleased and would use them again for any plumbing job.

Description of Work: Company came out to give an estimate. Quoted $395 per toilet to fix leaks, then offered to replace toilets all together for $595 when all was needed was internal parts that cost $35 at Home Depot. Quoted $650 dollars to replace a kitchen faucet when all I asked for was a new washer to fix leak. Outrageous pricing. I stated it was a waste to have purchased the deal so he advised I get a refund.

Description of Work: These guys were awesome. I ended having two problems so after the initial identification they came out a seperate time or two to finish up their work. Jason and Adam were awesome-super polite, punctual, and explained every step along the way. I needed to have a toilet reset as well as have a new pipe installed because my old house(original plumbing) had lost it's grading and was completely useless. Highly recommend them and their customer service!

Description of Work: iNSTALLED A HEATER AT THE MAIN WATER HEATER TO EXPEDITE HOT WATER TRANSFER IN THE BATHROOM (3) FAUCETS.

Description of Work: Michael and Son replaced a faulty filter on my faucet. Appoint was scheduled quickly, communication with the tech was excellent and he arrived exactly as stated. The work was done quickly and he explained in detail what needed to be replaced. The price was fair and they left with out making a mess. Overall I would highly recommend Michael and Son based on my experience last week, they seem to be a very professional operation.
