Description of Work: They came to evaluate the cost to install a whole house water filter system. They suggested a brand they install instead of ones available at home improvement stores. The prices were reasonable. The offered a service warranty as a portion of the installation to "reduce" the price but also provide HVAC service as part of the charge.

Description of Work: The toilet had overflowed in my downstairs bathroom, and I needed someone to check the sewer line for me. Michael & Sons scheduled me for the very next morning, and I couldn't say no to the $29 service call charge. After a bit of a scheduling glitch, Rob arrived and went right to work. He had me "assist" so I could see the same things he did, which was much appreciated! Although he could find nothing wrong and didn't try to push any expensive services on me, I decided to have him put a camera down the line to make sure there wasn't anything that could cause future problems. I watched the entire procedure - it was like "interactive" plumbing! All in all, Rob was great and I will definitely use Michael & Son for future needs.

Description of Work: I purchased a $200 voucher but after receiving a quote for services, the service providers fees were quite overpriced even after $200 off. I am moving forward with a more reliable and more reasonable service provider instead. I was quoted $380 for replacing 5 wall sockets (which takes about 20min each if you've never done it before) and rewiring a fan. The estimator was trying to b.s. me and obviously did not know what was needed as he was trying to make the work sound more complicated than it actually was. I would (and have in the past) done the work myself but I live out of town. I am sure they provide a good service but the sketchy pricing/estimating and overpriced services leads me to believe that most their other services are also questionable.
