We were excited and incredibly grateful to have Merry Maids clean our house for the first time this past Tuesday and immediately agreed to a bi-weekly cleaning schedule for $300/month. I was so thrilled to immediately walk around my house and see how well everything was cleaned. I opened the microwave door to look inside, and the top piece of it fell on the floor. It looks like the plastic holding the 2 screws had been somehow broken. Yesterday my husband contacted Merry Maids in Raleigh, and they asked for pictures, agreeing to pay to have the part replaced after they had a chance to talk to the employees who had cleaned our house. Ignoring feelings of distrust that were starting to develop with these maids, we accepted. In the meantime, we called the appliance company and found out that the part would cost $40.00 and $11.00 for shipping. Today a Merry Maids representative called and, without apology, said they'd decided not to pay for the part and stand by the word of their 12 year employee, who denied breaking it. She implied that since this was our first cleaning and we had no history with the company, we had no credibility. My husband requested that a representative at least come to our house and look at what was damaged first hand. After all, there's always the possibility that she may have broken it without realizing it at the time. She refused, saying that wouldn't change her decision. Stunned, we immediately cancelled our plan for all future services and asked to have our house key returned. I've never in my life encountered a company with such poor regard and disrespect for its customers. To not only refuse to look at the damage but also call us liars is completely outrageous. A company exists because of its customers, and to bring damage, insult and refusal of apology to the home of a brand new customer is mind boggling. I would never recommend the Raleigh branch of this company to anyone.

I have stayed with Merry Maids because of their commitment to client service. I have never been disappointed. They also easily accommodate changes in my schedule. Best money I have spent. They clean two floors of a 3800 square foot home, change bedding, etc.

. I can't always count on the same crew coming out every time nor can I count on when they are going to show during the day. . They always show up approximately. Most of them speak Hispanic and only one of the member speak English but I am not sure if we communicate well. But the job is done. I used them when I was working. Now that I am retired I keep thinking of scrubbing toilet so I keep using them. One time the soap dish fell off the wall in the bathroom they immediately told me. Then their supervisor came out and put it back in, probably the best piece of tile in the whole bathroom that is solid. Another time a lamp was broken. It would have been wear and tear or it would be that they picked it up at one of its week points. It was not worth getting it repaired. I had another lamp put inits place. They apologized and it was not a big deal. So they let me know when something gets broken. They make an attempt to repair it if they can. But a couple times I had the floors re-varnished and there was no water to be put on it for 2 weeks. I called and told MERRY MAIDS no water on the floors. I came home and I noticed they had scrubbed the floors. I was very upset. Apparently it had dried long enough and did not damage the polish. I felt like they did not follow the instruction. I am comfortable enough to have them come in without me being in the house. They do kitchen and bathrooms and that is done very well. I would continue to use their service in the future just because I have a relationship with them. I find them easy to talk to. They try to keep within a two hour window.

Weak points: about 10-12 items have been broken or chipped in my home and they have never admitted it to me. They even stacked up a broken object so it didn't appear broken, but when I touched it, it fell apart. The company will pay you back for broken items but in many cases, I could have simply glued the chip or broken piece back on and I would have been fine with that, but in every case, they cleaned up or took the broken piece and I could not repair the object! In some cases, the object is therefore permanently damaged and I cannot buy the same thing again. If it can be replaced, they will pay for it, at least, but I am looking for another service that I can trust to admit their mistakes and leave the broken pieces behind. I think they break things because they never pick up anything to dust or wash the surface...they just push the items around. That's why they are so fast. I have had a maid for over 20 years, and they are the only ones who have ever done this much damage.

They did a good job, but the price seems pretty high to me. I'm undecided whether to enter into a bi-monthly or monthly arrangement for their services. But, if you're in a bind and need a quick cleaning job, I could recommend them.

Excellent! The quality of cleaning better than we do ourselves! During the process they accidentally chipped some drywall. The maids didn't notify us but may not have recognized it. However, it was not a problem! The company came out and repaired it in a timely manner without any issues! And the entire staff is extremely friendly. We are very impressed!

I was less than pleased on a few specific items. My hardwood floors were left streaky on multiple occasions, even after informing them of the problem. Also, my appliances were only cursorily cleaned (some food splatters still left). The dusting and so forth were fine. The initial cleaning was considerably more even though my house wasn't that dirty.

We have always been satisfied with the job that Merry Maids does, and find that they are easy to schedule with. They are always friendly, professional, and courteous when they are working in our home. I would gladly recommend their services to other people.

I really like this company. They send a different crew out each time but the quality doesn't change from crew to crew. One time, I came home to find one of the gals cleaning on top of my bookcase. I wouldn't have even thought to ask her to do that. The quality of their work is excellent and I definitely recommend them.

Have never had a problem since hiring them almost a year ago. They are flexible when my schedule needed changing. I am only giving this company up because we need to move away for 6 months, but they will be among the first I call on return.

Contacts and meetings were punctual and courteous. The work was done on time and was generally of high quality. They missed some spots I wish they had cleaned. As the house had just been painted there was dust from the caulking and sanding. They missed the dust on the dining room light fixture and on several surfaces in the bathrooms. They also missed some dirt on furniture in the office, but the carpet installers had pushed that furniture together in the middle of the floor, so it may have been pretty difficult to reach.

It went well. I had a few initial concerns after the first time, but the next time they were addressed and I was very happy with the job.

They did an excellent job. They were timely, courteous and considerate. They did many of the little things that make the difference between a cursory cleaning and a great job. My wife laid out clean linen for the beds, which she planned to change and the maids made the beds as well. We are very happy with the service and intend on continuing to use their services.

We started using Merry Maids and then tried to save money using other firms. The professionalism was the main reason we returned to Merry Maids, though the price was not significantly different (about $10 per visit not including what we provided in cleaning supplies for other companies). Merry Maids brings everything they need and bills our credit card.

I LIKED HOW PARTICULAR THEY WERE CLEANING. THEY WERE ALSO VERY ORGANIZED, SO THEY DIDN'T MISS ANYTHING. MY HOUSE LOOKED WONDERFUL. THEIR CLEANING SUPPLIES WERE LIKE MAGIC.

THEY SURE WERE EXPERIENCED IN THEIR LINE OF WORK. THEY DID EVERYTHING PERFECTLY. THEY WERE SO ORGANIZED TOO. THEY CAME RIGHT ON TIME. I AM SO PLEASED WITH THIS COMPANY.

THEY DID AN AMAZING JOB ON THE HOUSE AND WE WILL MORE THEN LIKELY HIRE THEM AGAIN. THE HOUSE WAS SPOTLESS BY THE TIME THEY GOT DONE AND THEY GAVE MY WIFE A VERY SPECIAL DAY OFF.

I LIKE THEM VERY MUCH. THEY LEAVE MY HOUSE REALLY SPOTLESS. THEY REALLY KNOW HOW TO CLEAN. THEY SURE DON'T LEAVE ANY MESSES AROUND MY HOUSE. THEY ARE GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO. I REALLY GET ALONG WITH THEM.
