Linda was AMAZING to work with! When we were selling our house, we started the process in March and because the home was old, it took about 3 months to get on the market. We were THRILLED that Linda recommended doing a home inspection before we listed the house so that we could find some of the larger structural issues instead of focusing the money on more cosmetic issues. The house was listed on Memorial Day weekend and we got an offer 12 days later, and closed in 3 weeks. When we decided to purchase a house, we saw something we liked on the internet and contacted Linda to see if she could get us in to see it. We saw several other homes, but fell in love with the first home and Linda was an amazing negotiator when we made the offer. When we did our final walk-through, she brought the inspection report and made sure everything that was agreed upon was completed. Linda was a pleasure to work with, offering helpful advice and comments but never being too pushy. She was very quick in responding to us whenever we contacted her with a question. After interviewing a few other highly-rated agents on Angie's List, we decided to go with Linda because of her straight forward approach. We appreciated that, while the others scheduled brief meetings in their offices, Linda preferred to show us how she would work with us to find the right home. We met for the first time at a house that was for sale in one of our desired neighborhoods and she walked through with us, pointing out key features - both good and bad. Once we decided to move forward, she hit the ground running and showed us between 50 and 75 houses in multiple towns (we are new to the area and weren't 100% sure where we wanted to land). Her responsiveness was incredible - emails were replied to within minutes and she would pick up the phone anytime we had questions on neighborhoods, potential listings, or contracts. Linda was also very efficient with showings. We have an 8 month old son and she was great at making sure that appointments were scheduled in a way that allowed us to maximize our time before the impending meltdown. She knew most of the neighborhoods extremely well and got to know our tastes and priorities really quickly. She remained quick to point out the highlights and potential pitfalls of each house while still giving us enough space to make our own decisions. She also helped us to navigate a hot market. Houses were going on and off the market in a day and we appreciated that she wasn't shy in telling us when we needed to 'pull the trigger' if we wanted a house badly. She was patient as we put offers on - and lost - three separate houses before finally closing on an amazing home last month. We would definitely recommend Linda for a buying agent.

We closed today! Woohoo! Let me say that we are incredibly lucky someone said to us ?Get a buyer?s agent? and then doubly lucky that we found Linda Nuxoll through Angie?s list. When we started this process, we thought that it would be fun looking at all the possibilities, choosing the right house and buying it. Would there be lots of moving parts? Sure. But how exciting! Then we entered into a ?hot market?. Holy crap. We were thrown into it and all thoughts that it would be a laid back jaunt died instantly. Very fortunately, Linda was our Sherpa through the insanity. Linda did an excellent job of finding us a home. I don't think she ever sleeps because it seemed like no matter what time I emailed her she would reply within minutes. If I emailed her before bed, I would have a reply first thing the next morning. I appreciated the way she would point out both the positives and negatives of each house so that we could make an educated decision on what was right for us. She was very patient with us a couple of times we thought we had found the house for us and then decided it wasn't right. We just closed on our home on May 14, 2015 and we are thrilled with our choice. I don't want to buy another house for a very long time, but we would definitely work with Linda again.

Linda helped place myself and my fiancé into our first home. She was very focused on all the little details and was also flexible as we visited house after house. Linda went to work helping us navigate the real estate world from the very first time we met her. She was easy to get along with, and assured us she'd answer all of our questions as we went along. When buying, she made sure that we saw lots of homes in our price range within our target location so that when "the" house came on the market we would know how it compares to other homes on the market in the same area/price range and could feel confident about making an offer. Throughout the shopping process, she offered valuable insights into the things about each home that were either objectionable or valuable from an investment perspective. She was able to work showings around our busy schedule and never pressured us. She was a wonderful guide. When selling, she visited our home and told us what needed to be done in each room to prepare the house to be listed. We followed all of her advice. She was right on. We found Linda on Angie's List and sent her a message on February 8. She matched us to our dream home and helped us close on it March 27. We couldn't have done it without her. I am so glad she didn't just show us the first property we contacted her about. I'm afraid we might have ended up buying it. Our new home is so much better. We couldn't be happier.. with the house or with Linda. The whole story: We had been looking at properties on our own for approximately 2 years and had narrowed down specific requirements as to what we wanted in a new home. We found what we thought was the perfect place and contacted Linda through Angie's List to see if she could schedule a showing for us. It was after 8 pm on a Saturday night. Linda called us within 30 minutes. You can't get pizza that fast these days! After chatting about the property (which she had already looked up and could talk about knowledgeably), we talked about our general requirements. She immediately went to work for us, sending us additional information about the property only available through realtors and scheduling a showing. The next morning she suggested that maybe we would also want to view another couple of properties so we would have something to compare. The two properties she suggested were actually two that we had seen online and considered but ruled out: one was nearly perfect but the price, while being at the upper limits of our budget, was more than we had hoped to spend. We met Linda at the first showing. She was punctual, professional and friendly. She could tell that the first place was just not us. We then moved on to the second place, which is the one that was perfect aside from the price. We really liked that one, but were still thinking the original property we contacted her about would be better (less expensive and closer to where we were currently living). So then we went to see that original property. Even though we had driven by the house before, once we got out of the car there, I started doubting it.. something was just "off". We really wanted to like it, especially considering the low price. Linda did a great job of showing us all areas of the property. She took us underneath the house (a really tall crawl space due to the slope of the property). I was concerned about the squishiness of the backyard (we had had a significant amount of rain over the previous couple of months). Linda walked the entire 2+ acre yard with us to test which parts were squishy and to what extent. She could tell that we were feeling uneasy about this place, but did not try to sway us one way or the other. She reminded us that there are many things about properties that you can change if you don't like them and some you can't. Most of what we had concerns about were things we could change or fix. We left feeling a little defeated. We really thought we had found the perfect place at the perfect price but felt nothing but creepiness and ickiness the whole time we were there. But, we had found Linda, and she was perfect. She was very supportive and not pushy. We asked for more information about one of the other properties she had shown us and she responded very quickly. (I don't think I ever waited more than an hour for an email response from Linda about anything. Email is my preferred communication method. I could have gotten immediate response from her by phone, but I hate phones.) After much discussion, my husband and I realized that we had been too quick to rule out the one house based on price. It was beautiful, in a nice neighborhood with great schools, and met all of our long list of requirements. We had looked at it online and ruled it out before Linda even suggested it or showed it to us. We didn't even tell her we had looked at (online and drive by) several places in that neighborhood. It shows that she really paid attention to what we said we wanted. It also further convinced us that the pricier house truly was perfect for us. It wasn't out of our predetermined price range. It was at the high end of what we could afford. We decided we were comfortable with that considering that we didn't have to compromise on any of our other requirements. As soon as we told Linda we wanted to buy the house (the pricier one), she went into action immediately. She sent us paperwork online that we could sign electronically. We had an offer submitted the next day. The selling agent wasn't very responsive once we got underway, but Linda was diligent. She explained the process to us every step of the way... contracts, inspections, etc. She worked seamlessly with the lender and the inspectors. She kept us grounded throughout the whole thing. I would never have expected our first home buying experience to move so quickly and smoothly. Even though we closed 2 weeks ago, Linda is still in contact with us to make sure everything is going well and to see if we need anything. We are recommending Linda to anyone and everyone we know who even mentions looking for a new home. Linda is just absolutely awesome.

We spent two years looking at home after home with Linda, and after all that time we ended up with the best home we could have found. The home is in the neighborhood we really wanted to live in, too. Any time you move from one place to another, you face a few challenges. When we decided to move to this area after Hurricane Katrina, we faced quite a few challenges, the first being that we had exactly 48 hours to look at homes and make an offer on one! Linda had been emailing listings to us, keeping lines of communication open, searching for the perfect house and weeding out homes that didn't fit the bill for about three weeks before we could make it to Raleigh. Over the course of two days, she showed us enough houses and neighborhoods that we really felt well-acquainted with the area and comfortable choosing a permanent home.
