Description of Work: Replacement of rotted window trim - workers were polite and professional - they did a good job and left the site clean - bought the Angie's list special for wood rot repair. I would hire them again.

Description of Work: Repaired fascia under my gutters that needs replacing. Section was high up and above my deck and required pulling down the gutter. Moved our deck furniture gently to avoid it getting damaged. Did high quality work (can't even tell the section was damaged in the first place) and replaced the gutter without issue. Also put back all deck furniture exactly how it was before. Felt a bit more expensive than I was expecting but quality of work felt worth it. Would rather spend a few dollars more and be happy/comfortable with the work than get the cheapest deal. |

Description of Work: We called 5 providers--4 from AL and one from a friend. Leon's was the first who could see us for a big leak around a kitchen window. We scheduled him and waited the two weeks. Imagine our frustration when he cancelled just before the holiday weekend--and then cancelled TWO MORE TIMES! We will not be calling him to try to schedule again.

Description of Work: Very professional and prompt. They replaced rotted soffit boards and reattached the gutters. We were very happy with their work and will use them again.

Only complaint was the advertised discount rate was actually the going rate for a carpenter doing trim and paint work in the Raleigh area. So there was no real discount or deal. Received quote to replace four two story corner pieces and paint for approximately $800 with $300 discount for Angie's List promotion. Seemed pretty pricey to replace four corners of rotten pine trim with materials that was additional $200. | |Advertised a master carpenter would complete repairs and anything beyond advertised time parameters would be at $60/hour for each carpenter x's 2 carpenters for $120/hour to do standard carpenter tasks that included remove and replace trim boards, and paint. | |I simply felt the $30/hour rate for each worker was acceptable to complete the job since the work did not require a master carpenter's expertise, legal or illegal. | |Carpenters that worked at my house were professional, courteous and hardworking. However, I would not use again simply due to the hourly rate charge, and bloated estimate for work that a general laborer could complete versus a master carpenter. | |I know there are plenty of skilled carpenters looking for work that would be ecstatic to make $30/hour, $240/day, $1,200/week, or $60,000/year (50 weeks). | |
