Overall, very positive experience. My only annoyance was that they were supposed to arrive at 8:30am. I called at 9am and left a message inquiring if the appointment was going to be kept. They called back and said that they had emailed me that they would arrive by 11:30am but I received no such email. Other than that, great experience. They were respectful, very tidy, did great work, and finished my entire list. They double checked with me the positioning of all shelves to ensure that I would be happy with the work. They were very careful putting together the outdoor dining set and even took away all the packaging materials. I was so pleased with the work, I had them take pictures of two projects that I would like to get quotes on.

Chris quoted our job over the phone based on pictures we texted to him. He got back to us within the hour with pricing and was able to schedule the job within the week. The young man who arrived to do the work was several hours later than originally scheduled, but we did receive a call to let us know he would be later than expected, which was no problem. We understand that sometimes other jobs take longer than expected. Once he arrived he completed the job with no problems and he cleaned up everything before he left. The only issue I had was that he did not speak English. He seemed to understand it very well, but was not able to speak it. It wasn't really a problem, we were able to communicate fine, but on a larger, more complex job I could see how the language barrier might be an issue. He was, however, very pleasant and professional and did good work. I would use them again.

After starting work on a remodeled kitchen myself, I saw this $149.00 Sale for several hours of general carpentry work by 2 men. They arrived promptly with a truck full of tools and the owner set the 2 workers up to do the cabinet install plus countertop and sink removal that had to be done before new granite countertops and sink could be installed by Home Depot. The owner then left the job site. The 2 men were young and obviously in a 'learning carpentry' phase of experience. I had pre-marked walls for stud locations and had screws, hardware and my tools available if needed (I felt these pre-work steps would allow them to get the maximum amount of work done in such a limited timespan without running over the sale price - which then would be added on at full price - double). This would be considered "rough carpentry" work and the 2 young men got everything done without any overcharges added - working fast because of all my pre-work preparations. I'm sure it would have taken them considerably longer at the higher price per hour if I had not prepared the work area so well - but the 2 young men were obviously working 'hard and fast' to get everything done in the allotted "sale timeframe". Although I wish the more experienced contractor/owner had stayed longer or returned during work for more supervision - they did the best they could at their skill level in the allotted time to save me from any extra charges for "overtime". Considering the amount of work I got done for only $149.00 - I was satisfied. But, to be honest, I would not have been satisfied if the same work was done for their 'regular $300.00 price' without this "sale". I assume the owner would have stayed or done some more 'professional quality carpentry' in a few areas of the job himself if it had been done at the regular higher 'double price'. Finally, it would have been nice if they had done a better area clean-up after finishing the work - which took me an extra 1/2 hour after they left. In total I guess the entire jobwould fall under the "you get what you pay for" category.

replaced rotted crown molding with new molding and then painted. Also removed a couple pieces of old beaded masonite siding and replaced it with hardi-plank. Also took out trim that had been eaten by carpenter bees and replaced it with vinyl trim and painted it all to match. Also thought some other trim was rotten, but that just turned out to be paint chipping away. They sanded and painted that. i paid for the materials over and above, but they were very fairly priced.

I paid an extra $60 after the coupon. Their price was pretty decent.

Purchased a big deal for Leon Home Repairs. They were very efficient. I was very impressed with him and his work he had done. I had to go to store and get an item but he didn't stop working. They repaired the front porch banister, replaced door lock, bathroom sink faucet did some repairs to the back patio and few other small repairs. I thought that it being a one day deal they would not get everything completed. He had brought a helper with him and within 4 hours they were done. He asked if there was anything else that I needed done.

It went very well and we were very pleased. Everyone was pleasant to work with and the team that came out was very respectful of our property and the work was very good. The weather didn't always cooperate for exterior painting and Chris and his team didn't try to work so they could move to another job; instead, they worked when the results could be the best and we are very thankful that and very pleased with the work. We recommend them and will certainly use them again should the need arise.

This is the third time I have used this company, and they are my first call when I need any home repair services. They are professional, polite, well priced and and do an excellent job!

The siding around the double-hung window units was removed to gauge hidden wood rot; decayed siding, exterior framing, and decayed parts of the window units were replaced; the bay window was primed, sealed, and painted. The repairs that Leon Home Repairs completed went quite beyond what we imagined could be done, and were carried out in a quality manner and with artistry in envisioning how to keep what was still usable while replacing the rot. The results really improved the overall first impression of our house from the street. We also hired Leon Home Repairs to do a separate project directed to repairing wood rot in other window frames; again, they did high-quality, professional work. All of the work was done on a timely basis, as well.

From beginning to end I was impressed with Leon Home Repairs. Chris Leon gave an estimate and his brother Edison did the lion's share of the work on this date. The original estimate included repairing 2 window sashes. However, a 3rd sash recently developed a problem and was immediately repaired at no extra charge. Every work area was left in a neat and orderly fashion. Both gentlemen were very professional, polite and very efficient. It's a pleasure to received the services of top notch professionals!

Chris was responsive to my request for service, scheduled the work, arrived promptly and called prior to coming. I didn't realize how hard it was to remove window sills, but they had everything done in less than 3 hours. They replaced the wood with PVC, sealed the frames and the sills and painted everything to perfection. They cleaned everything up perfectly. The work was beautiful and Chris was very nice and very professional.

They never called me or e-mailed me after my purchase.

Overall, the service was ok. I purchased 5 hours of general carpentry for $149 as Angie's List Big Deal. Chris Leon came out and reviewed what I wanted done. He said the attic floor repairs, sheetrock patching in bedroom, and painting over sheetrock patching would be done as part of the pre-paid 5 hours. Then, he quoted another $250 for removing a pre-fab wiring panel and replacing with a larger built-in cabinet in a central closet. When I asked about specifics that were discussed when he visited, including a second service door just above the floor moulding, a door with hinges, etc, the price estimate increased another $90. I told him I just wanted the work covered by the Angie's List coupon and he dropped the price $50. I agreed. Once finally scheduled, Chris was punctual. The attic floor was somewhat repaired. There are still dime-sized holes and cracks. The paint I had didn't match, so he didn't do any of the painting. It did not take him 5 hours, maybe 3, but he still charged the full coupon for his work. Then he left for supplies to remodel the wiring closet. Instead of building a second service door just above the floor moulding like I had requested, he closed and sealed the hole. He built a somewhat decent cabinet out of MDF (fiberboard like compressed cardboard. I hope it doesn't get wet!) The cabinet door was made out of the same flimsy stuff. The hinge screws stuck out sharply on the back side of the door. He drilled a hole for a door handle, but said it was broke or didn't fit or something, so left me a door with no handle. There were also no holes to run cables between shelves. He left scraps in the yard, and didn't paint anything. It looks shoddy, and this is in a custom-built high-end home. Then, he charges me over $80 for supplies! When I questioned him about that, some was legitimate with receipts, some was exhorbitant for things like a handful of screws, caulk, and scrap wood that he carries with him in his work truck. He even charged me for wood for the attic flooring that I know was not used, as evidenced by the starter drill holes used to cut the holes in the first place that were still there. I think I'm being fair when I give him a C. It wasn't horrible work, but it wasn't A quality either.

Leon did an excellent job and I would use him again.

Prices were reasonable but the Deal that I purchased expired before services were used.

It was a real pleasure working with Chris! He was very responsive and followed through with everything we spoke about. He got the work done on time and kept within the budget. I would definitely use this company again.

The deal was for either 1 handyman all day or 2 handymen for half a day. I had the owner meet with me not long after I purchased the deal so I could find out what supplies would be needed for the men to do the work. I then told him I would let him know when I was ready. From the time I purchased to the time they could have done the work would have been about 5-6 weeks, but I was expecting a baby around that same time and decided to put it all off for a few months. I mostly corresponded through email because I did have a little bit of a hard time understanding Mr. Leon's english; however, he and the two workers he sent to my house did not have trouble understanding me or what I wanted done. The workers were extremely efficient. They finished my list above with probably an hour and a half to spare. They offered to do other items for me, but I just didn't have the supplies they would have needed to have started on anything else. I thought they did a great job at what I asked of them. I don't know how skilled they are with laying pavers, but they did a great job with what I asked. I wasn't concerned if they were all even and actually, I wanted it to slope just slightly to help with water runoff. Our trash cans were originally sitting on rocks between the house and sidewalk. I wanted the rocks moved to other garden beds and the pavers to make a smooth transition off the sidewalk. I had already measured and had an idea of how many pavers would fit in the space. I did not have them cut any to be a different size. They dug up the rocks and dirt and leveled out the ground before placing the pavers. It looked as good as I could have imagined it to look. I don't know that I would go with them for extensive paver work, especially after seeing professionals in that field do the work, but I would use them for creating stone paths or even having them help you with a DIY patio project. The only other thing I would mention is that I would probably not use them for plumbing repairs. I had a toilet that I wanted them to replace the seal on because it was causing a slow leak. In the end, I didn't even have the correct seal for them to have repaired it; however, they thought they were going to have to take the entire tank off to repair. I have replaced the rubber seals before and knew that was not how you do it. They either misunderstood what was causing the leak or really were not familiar with plumbing repair. I eventually repaired it myself after buying the right part. This was not on my original list to be repaired. I only asked if they could do it after they offered to do some other tasks. It's possible Mr. Leon has other workers more experienced with plumbing repairs, but at the time he sent the workers to my house, I did not give any indication that I wanted that type of work done. Overall, I do feel I got my money's worth for the work they did. I would use them again for other handyman tasks.

The new construction is solid, with perfectly-spaced pickets and level railings. Mr. Leon and his assistant did a thorough clean-up of the site, and even replaced several knick-knacks exactly as he found them before beginning his demolition work. I would not hesitate to use Chris again!

I had been delaying annoying work around the house and finally found Leon Home Repairs on Angies List. I had the above work requested and it was done promptly. I had issues on my side and they accommodated me without complaint. Minor issues was addressed very quickly and they made sure I was completely satisfied after the last project was completed. I have found my go to Handyman!

Chris was very nice and did a great job.

They were very professional and efficient. Two carpenters came at the scheduled time and removed the two damaged windowsills and then left to purchase the replacement materials required for the job. They returned and installed the two new windowsills and painted them. They were very neat and cleaned their work area after completing the job. They were very knowledgeable and did excellent work. I was extremely pleased with the job they did and would highly recommend this company. I had purchased a big deal for $149.00 and paid an extra $18.00 for the materials.

It was a good experience. They showed up on time and performed as expected. Very courteous and clean.
