They did various handyman work throughout the house including some plumbing and tiling. Everything turned out great. They were prompt and communicated well. I was very happy with the quality of their work.

I was a bit nervous at first because some of the phone conversation before the estimated didn't seem clear, but after Chris came out to give me the estimate I was sold. He looked over what I was asking to be done informed me that it was possible that more work would need because the issue was not just the door frame it was that water was gathering somewhere above and leaking on to the door (my front door frame had major water damage). He suggested a few things to look into to see if this was the case so he could provide a better estimate. One of those things was coming out and cutting a piece of the wood frame off to see what was behind it. Additionally he gave me some suggestions on what other customers of his who had similar issues had done. He gave me a wealth of information, more over he sent me a quote within 4 days of when he came out. He sent the quote via email and it very clearly laid out what work they were including in the quote and what was not included. Additionally, 2 days after he sent the quote he called to followup if I received the quote or not. I had called so many contractors, some of whom gave me partial information during my quote or never sent me the quote until I called to follow. His professionalism was amazing. The only reason I didn't use him was because a lot of what he said to me lead me to go back out to my builders (who originally said the work was only my door frame then it was my responsibility) and have them re-investigate which lead to them confirming they would be completing and paying for the repairs. Otherwise no question I would have utilized Chris Leon's Home Repairs.

Once we were able to connect, the project went smoothly.

The process of getting the quote was okay, but he doesn't respond very well. We are still working with him. Update 8/16/13: This was a miscalculation as no work has been done yet. The relationship has been a good rating so far.

The 2 gentlemen that came were kind, efficient and easy to work with. Would use them again.

I hired Leon Home Repairs to fix several wood rot, and siding problems and paint our house before putting it on the market for sale. Chris and his crew are fantastic. They are professional, and hardworking. They stayed late into the evening on more than one night in order to get us to a good stopping place so that we could access our house more easily and get back into our kitchen faster. I recieved quotes from several repair companies. First off, Chris was the only one that showed up when he said he would, and secondly his pricing was very competitive. I was so pleased with the initial work that Chris's crew did that I had them do several more projects. While it was a significant investment, it has paid off in that we recieved multiple offers on the house and we went under contract in less than a week. Now that the inspection is over with, I am having Chris come back and do a couple of small touch ups that we had elected to not do initially. I highly recommend Leon Home Repairs!

Chris Leon was very prompt in returning my initial call, and setting up the visit for estimates. The work was done on time, and completed in the time frame given me. Chris and crew were very polite and professional. I would highly recommend this company --I will certainly use them again.

Fine. My only complaint is that they ripped a little paint off of the house, so I need to match and paint it myself.

Arrived on time. Finished on time. Happy with the service. He even allowed me to purchase the wood in advance in order to save money, since he would have had to charge me for the time necessary to pick up the wood at Home Depot. I would recommend this contractor.

Bought a 5-hour labor coupon from Angie's List for $149, it seemed they sold out a lot of coupons, they were pretty busy, I rescheduled couple times, came by not on scheduled time for a quick estimate, let me choose which material to use and how much. two weeks later, again came not on scheduled time, fixed the roof facia with PVC material, looks OK, but not great. Sent me a bill, three times higher than the estimation, but at the end he only asked what he told me at the estimation. Thanks anyway!

The day I called to request an estimate, Chris came out the same day and provided it. He scheduled my repairs in a timely manner. On the day of the repairs, Chris and his crew arrived on time, worked hard and were very polite. They were just a pleasure to have at my home. I was extremely pleased with the work they did and they went above and beyond what I expected. We had several add ons that were discovered after damaged material was removed. They took care of these extras and were reasonable with their add on fees. I had told him that I would paint the lower areas myself and only asked him to paint the repaired areas requiring an extension ladder. At no additional cost he had his crew put a coat of paint on all the repaired areas. I had asked him to blow storm debris off of my roof and he did this and then his crew swept up the debris that was blown off and disposed of it. They cleaned up the entire work area and hauled off all the trash.I would highly recommend Chris and his crew to anyone. I love how everything turned out and would definitely use them again. I felt the fee was fair for the work that was done.

Chris provided a very reasonable estimate and his guys did all the work in a short amount of time. It seemed like a lot of work for the price we paid. They did a very good job and left it looking like new. They even came back 2 weeks later to paint a piece of trim they missed. I was very pleased with the overall service.

I was very pleased with the work performed by Leon Home Repairs and we are in the process of contacting them again for some additional work. They arrived promptly on the day of the job, explained everything carefully, performed exceptional work, and did a great job with the clean up. They even offered us a more than reasonable rate for the extra time they had to be here to complete the work. My only quibble was with some of the initial communication. I am sure they get inundated with dozens of requests whenever they have a big deal (and for good reason). In our experience, this translated into having a slightly difficult time arranging the initial visit and estimate and scheduling the work. Aside from the communication issues, I would readily recommend them to friends and family!

The original job quote was for the $700 and was to take a crew all day to do. For a crew and a full day of work I consider that a fair price. On the day of the work the crew arrived just after 1pm. As they removed the rotted wood they found that the 2x6 pieces under the capping of the chimney and the gutter needed to be replaced. I was then quoted an additional $250 to replace these 2x6 pieces. At this point I really didn't have a choice considering the crew was half way through the job. The total job took just over 3 hours with a 3 man crew at a cost of $950. While the quality of the work was good I feel like I was taken advantage of with the additional $250 charge because they knew I didn't have much of a choice. I will not be using them in the future and I can not recommend them.

I was anxious to get the work done ASAP, but was frustrated by several weather postponments (obviously not the contractors fault). We agreed on a day/time, and they showed up (a little later than agreed, but I had cleared my calenday) with the correct materials and got busy after a quick once-over of the agreed upon tasks. The crew was very polite and agreeable, so I made them some coffee and left them to do their thing. I retired to the office to finish some work on the computer. I was surprised at how quickly the lead man came to advise me that the demolition and repairs were made, but the paint that I supplied (left over from the trim work after a re-roof) was a very different white than the exterior panels... they went ahead and used that paint in the front of the house at my request to weatherproof the planks, but found me an old plank to take to Lowes for a color sample... I was very happy with the communication with the business owner, and the work was done quickly but professionally. I told the lead man that I will gladly give them more work when needed!

Excellent. I bought the Angie's deal for 5 hours of labor for wood rot repair a couple months ago. Chris scheduled time to come out and assess my job, and he was right on time. He estimated the job at about 2 hours more than the coupon would cover, and estimated material costs. We scheduled a date for the job. Chris called me ahead of time to tell me his crew was on the way, and they were right on time. They completed the job in exactly what he had estimated, and the material cost came in slightly under his estimation.....always a nice surprise. They cleaned up after the work, and the quality was very good. I would definitely recommend Chris to a friend.

The company was communicative and on-time. The level of workmanship was adequate but not detailed. Work was done as quickly as possible, not as well as possible. For example, the front walk was not protected by tarp and there were paint drippings left all over the outside entry to my house. Further, I will have to go back and repaint, possibly caulk. Would I use them again? I don't know.

terrioble Updating my review because Chris Leon followed up and told me he had sent me the estimate and even called me. I don't recall either, but I want to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Went quite well. they were swamped by the offer, hence it took a little bit to get them here, but they did the work quickly and well. The workers were very nice, and worked very hard, and cleaned up well

Everything went well - Chris and his team were responsive, professional and relaible. I intend to use their services again.

Leon Home Repairs were good. There's two brothers and one of them hurt his leg. He fell off a ladder or something like that. So, it messed up his leg and some of the stuff got delayed and we had to reschedule some things, but they got here and once they got here, they did a nice job. The wood going out to the deck was improperly made to begin with, as it turned out, which Leon recognized, which was a good thing. He made it happen, made it work and replaced some of the floor. Since he was doing a good job, I had him look at some siding that I had flagged as having some rot and he actually replaced the siding on it, like almost the entire side of the house, with some Hardiplank, and did a nice job with that. They did an extremely nice job, especially since he had gotten hurt. Sometimes, he was a little hard to get a hold of and sometimes, communication was a little bit of an issue, unless you caught the one brother. There were times when I was waiting around for them for awhile. They were professional and did a nice job. I'm checking out some folks on a related job, but I may up end going back to Leon after all.
