Leon Home Repairs

Overall we were pleased with Leon Home Repairs. They do good work and are punctual on the day of scheduled service. They assessed what was needing to be done and made a trip to Lowe's Hardware to get the needed materials which added around $60 to the final cost. The first issue we had with them was their responsiveness to intially scheduling the service. After buying the Angie's List deal, several days went by and they had not contacted us. We reached out to them via email and phone and it took several more days to "catch up" to get a date on the calendar. The appointment was set for almost 4 weeks later. Once our day arrived for the service they did show up on time. It was pouring the rain and they said they would leave it up to us if we wanted them to do the work. Well.. a lot of it involved painting so the answer was no obviously. They left and said they would be in touch to reschedule. Almost a week went by and we had not heard back from them. We reached out again via email and phone and it took a few more tries to get another date rescheduled which of course was another 3 to 4 weeks out. They did show up on time on 11/9/2013 and completed the work as promised. It basically took almost 2 and a half to 3 months to get the work done. This was certainly not all their fault but trying to schedule and reschedule the service added over 2 to 3 weeks to the process. They are worth a look if you are not in a hurry for your needed repairs etc...

Repaired some dry rot. Quick and efficient but a little bit sloppy workmanship.

The job itself was messy but they did try to keep it confined and picked up after themselves. The young men do all the work themselves do not use subcontractors which is great because you know who you are working with.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. They came in and did what they said they were going to do and actually did more than what we had originally expected. Since they worked so quickly, we added additional repairs and they did them as well and went home a half hour late. We had a lot of things to throw at them but it went very well. They came out as soon as I scheduled them. We paid $120 additional but he did a lot of stuff. We were being charged for extra materials which they said, and we didn't know at that time, was part of the package. He was upfront about it because we asked specifically for a vinyl windowsill replacement and so he went out and bought it and he bought boards to replace cement backerboard. For the amount of work he did, it was a phenomenal price. I was thrilled with him. I went and bought another coupon for my daughter so he can fix her bathroom. I want him to come and build me a kitchen and a bathroom. Those 2 just absolutely blew us away. They came and worked like mad for 4 hours. Pricing was fabulous. Quality of service, responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism were unmatched. They were dressed nicely, they looked nice, they were quiet, they were thorough, no music, and they cleaned up when they left like they were never here. When he left the bonus room from repairing that rotted window, outside it looked like they were never here. I was flabbergasted. I will absolutely use them again. I told them I wanted them to do my bathroom and I want them to redo my whole kitchen.

I had ongoing communication with owner to confirm date and time for service to start. Workers were very professional and everything on my list was completed, they even asked if I had additional things I wanted done before they left. I was very pleased with their work and intend to use them again for additional home repair.

Started and finished on time. Little supervision required. I was out of town during most of the project. I described what I wanted and came home to find it finished and looking better than my vision. They widened the opening, added lighting, poured a concrete pad, and built the doors. Chris Leon picked out the door hardware for me and everything. Hard to find a guy you can trust with those kinds of decisions. Additionally, he had ideas on how to cut costs without sacrificing function or appearance. This is our third project with Leon Home Repairs and we will hire them for the next project.

We have used Chris in the past. As usual, for this job, he did a very good job, was prompt, professional, cleaned up afterwards. We will use Chris again in the future.

Overall we were very pleased and our small kitchen remodel went smoothly. They were punctual, completed everything agreed upon at the prices quoted, and took care of minor problems along the way. We purchased the paint, tiles, sink & faucet, and countertops beforehand. Chris found backsplash tiles to match the new countertops, which was a big help. They removed/added some cabinetry, relocated the refrigerator, replaced damaged/missing floor tiles, installed new laminate countertops and the backsplash. They also found and repaired minor plumbing issues and installed the sink and faucet. Lastly, they painted. No problems; we hope to use their services again.

Project went very well. Work was done quickly and efficiently. End result was what I wanted. person that showed up was neat and professional.

Both men were friendly and professional. The work was well done and in the planned time period. We would reccomend this handyman and will hire them again in the future.

Chris' brother, Edison, arrived on time. I had purchased the paint and he started the work. They are very pleasant and professional and painted the fence very diligently having to pull back some large shrubbery as they worked. Everything was done easily and without any incident. I would feel totally at ease having them do any work needed in or outside my home. They are definitely my "go to" people , and I trust them implicitly

The shingles and rotten siding was definitely an eyesore on our house, but roofs and chimney's are just something we won't tackle. Chris & his crew were very easy to deal with & even came back on another day to finish up some small details we requested after they said they were finished. They were prompt and courteous and did the work that was requested. A few pieces of debris left behind, but overall a good job. Paint on the replaced siding was spot-on and even left us the leftover paint for any touchups.

It went very well. Chris cleaned the deck with the product recommended by the paint manufacturer. But he wasn't satisfied with the product's performance. So he came back and power washed the deck. He replaced several broken deck boards (excellent carpentry) and made sure all the boards were solidly attached. Then he painted the wood skirt on our sunroom and put 2 coats of paint on the deck. The deck looks great!

They did an okay job. There was a couple of places on the trim that could have been done more neatly. I had a $150 coupon but it cost me another $730 which I thought was a little more than it should have been.

The guy was here on time, did a fantastic professional job. THANKS!

The Groupon was for 5 hours of repair work, we agreed on what he would repair, instead he repairs two doors that were in good shape and the rotted wood was left undone. I called and he agreed to come fix the rotted wood, he came back, not sure what he did, but sent me an invoice for $45. I cannot understand him over the phone, so we used email to communicate, but still my rotted wood remains. I asked him to meet with me but he is only available in the middle of the day while I am at work. I do not feel Chris Leon should remain on Angie's List of recommended providers.

Leon came and quoted the work. He was polite and punctual. Two workmen came one site, they were courteous, hard working and professional. The work was of good quality, and the door now seals perfectly.. Final result was an 9/10 for cosmetics, but I got exactly what I paid for and am very happy with the results.

The offer stated that it would be 5 hours of wood rot repair for a certain price. When he came out he explained that there would be additional charges for what we would need done. He did not break down the extra charges for us, even when we requested it. So we were not exactly sure about what we would be paying for regarding the extra work. We just knew it was more than he was willing to offer for 5 hours but he never told us what the extra work would be. We had showed him the windows that we needed done, but he never broke down the payment structure. So we could never make a decision regarding the deal. He has been in contact with us since, asking if we wanted to schedule a time to get the work done and we explained that if he would give us the information we requested we would be able to make a decision. We have not heard back from him since.

Spoke to Chris on the phone, which he answered sounding half-asleep and just a "hello", so not very professional. You'd think he'd answer with his business name as it is advertised on the site. Anyway, said he'd be here to give me an estimate on Friday (this was a Tue) and then he called the next day to confirm that he was coming on Thursday. Told him it was supposed to be Friday and I wasn't available on Thursday, so we agreed he'd call me on Monday to reschedule. It's now Thursday and I never heard from him. Guess times are good and he doesn't need the work.

We had some rotten wood on the house. The guys came out and told me how much and what wood to get, which I did. They came out on a later date and preformed the needed repairs. As always happens with these types of jobs there was more needed repairs that were not seen earlier which was hidden at first. Well the added repairs added to the cost of course which I would expect. After the repairs were done the overall cost was higher then I had thought but it was do to my misunderstanding. So all in all everything was great.

Everything went smoothly and efficiently. A team arrived on the first day and everyone worked together until the job was complete at the end of the week. The work site was kept neat and clean and clean up at the end was great. The crew worked and acted very professionally. Job well done.

It went very well. It is difficult to schedule a GC to do work because of all the rain we have had causing a lot of necessary rescheduling because of mother nature, but the work got done fairly quickly in spite of this. It was detailed and professionally completed and replaced rotted wood is gone. Since it was replaced with PCV, it is now maintenance free!

The service was fine. It cost me more than the $149 big deal. I paid an additional $450. They got the work done in an hour. The repaired stuffs seem to be still in good working order.

We had 2 men come to the house to remove wood rot in the trim under the gutters and replace it all with plastic wood we provided. The workers came on time, were very professional, and worked hard throughout the entire time we had on the 3hr deal. We were very happy with the results.

The work was done extremely efficiently. The window looked brand new, and the electrical box looks fabulous and I no longer have to worry about water seepage into the walls or worse a fire. Everything was cleaned up and looked as though they were never here. They exceeded our expectations.
