KINETICO - ADVANCED WATER SYSTEMS INC

Called to advise of bi-annual service. Followed up with email, and appointment was on time. Great service

Here are some of my issues that I have had and still dealing with over a year this was installed 1. I had to hire an electrician last minute because they couldn't do the job 2. they rescheduled the job many times 3. they promised to install a filtration system to my refrigerator, but they had to come back and do this another day because they never done it before. 4. the sales rep lied to me and was completely rude after the job was done and demanded his money, but the job was not complete. I paid for another water test and my alpha and beta results were worse. 5. they installed the shed in front of my crawl space with the water system which they had to cut open to get underneath the house when "their" pipe froze in Feb 2019. They had to come back and build a new door for the crawlspace and another visit to bury the pipe. 6. they installed a tiny heater which could cause a fire. this heater is something you plug, and I have to go out there to turn it off. This is so the system doesn't freeze up in the winter. 7 The spout they installed they never disinfected so it had bacteria on it which they told us it was safe to drink. They told me I would have a RO system, but this was never installed. 8. the pipe they installed under my house- I had no idea was a drain line, so now I probably have mold issues, foundation problems, and dry rot. they buried it in the ground under my house which is contaminated water which broke off in less than 6 months and flooded underneath my home and yard. you can see the pictures of the plastic tube they call a pipe poring out water under my house and flooding the yard. 9. I have been having issues for over a year since they installed this system which I do not trust and still cook and drink bottled water. 10. I had to take off so many days from work because of all the mistakes so they can fix

Pat visited the house to assess our water and to then recommend various solutions that would meet our needs. Pat was professional, courteous and took the time to explain the purpose of each component. We ended up selecting the backwashing filter, decholrinator and softener, along with reverse osmosis for drinking water. The installation went great and they were able to place the system in the sealed crawl vs the garage to keep it out of the way. While expensive, we are relying on Kinetico to live up to its reputation of high performing, long lasting and durable products. So far, we are impressed with the vastly improved quality of our water.

The consultant and installation team were very professional. System is very high quality and we noticed a near immediate improvement in the quality of our water. Removed a 20 year old system that was no longer functioning. The team installed a new drain line from the softener. This was the only part that I wasn't 100% pleased with. The initial plan was to run the drain to nearby wood-covered area, but the pipe sticks up out of the ground near the edge of the lawn which creates a large wet area. Overall I am very pleased.

Was satisfied with the installation and end product. I have had to recontact Kinetco on more than one occassion for quotes, questions etc. I do not perceive that customer service is their strength.

Superlative from sales to install. Although the Kinetico system is more expensive that other 1 tank systems, we are totally pleased with the water treatment it provides without using electricity.

The initial installation went very smoothly and the Kinetico system we purchased is great. Chuck K. is an outstanding sales and support staff for Advanced Water Systems, Inc. where we purchased our Kinetico system from. We purchased our house new and it has well water, so we needed some type of water filtration system. After researching several water systems we decided on the Kinetico system due to its high performance, 24/7 whole-house filtered water availability without interruption, and low maintenance. Chuck K. answered many questions in advance, and he and the installer were very thorough in explaining the operation and maintenance of the system. I'm also writing this review over a year after initial installation because I am so impressed with the ongoing support and responsiveness that Chuck and Advanced Water System, Inc. have provided when I have questions about changing filters and other items. The system itself has also operated greatly to our satisfaction. I know Kinetico systems can be purchased from other organizations, but I highly recommend getting a Kinetico system from Advanced Water Systems due to their outstanding personalized service and very competitive pricing.

About a year ago I thankfully came across Mike Burch at the Raleigh Home Show. He came out to the house, tested my water, and educated me about the results and which equipment would be best for my situation (which wasn't the most expensive). I needed some time to get my finances in order and there was no hard pressure sale from Mike. He understood and told me that he would be there when I was ready. So about 2 months later I was ready and gave him a call. My old softener was in an inconvenient location so the installer moved the plumbing lines and installed the system in a much more convenient location for free. All of the workmanship was top notch as well. The water softener has been installed for about a year now and it has been worth every penny. We noticed a huge difference immediately in the quality of our water. Today was the first time salt was added to the system and it only took 6 bags. I was using 2 bags per month with the cheap Lowes water softener and the water quality was terrible. If you are trying to decide whether or not to use Kinetico just do it. They only sell superior products that are designed to last a lifetime. And if you want to deal with an honest, extremely knowledgeable person who won't pressure you into a bunch of stuff you don't need then ask for Mike Burch. You will be thankful you did.

Diagnose problems in water system: a) Failure of $800 valve in open-loop geothermal heat pump; and b) Stripped PVC & brass plumbing fixtures. Eugene Smelik, who has a Ph.D. in geology, found that these problems were caused by black mica in our well water. Dr. Smelik performed all of the tests for our water in front of us at our home. Identify cost-effective solutions for problems. Dr. Smelik produced a 15-page report on various options to address the above mentioned problems, and other problems indicated by his lab tests (our water was found to be hard, acidic and high in dissolved solids). He made recommendations and applied no pressure on us to purchase anything. Install equipment/modify water system. Andy Smelik, a very competent and friendly technician, installed the equipment in a corner of our basement so that it took up as little space as possible, and was convenient for plumbing and maintenance. The system that he installed has multiple pipes and valves. This makes it possible to bypass parts of the system in case that leaks are found or that water needs to be shut off to service equipment. Provide technical assistance . Andy Smelik provided technical assistance needed to optimize functioning of water system, and to show us how to operate & maintain the system. He was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the system. Andy also did a great job helping us to understand how the system worked and what we should do for maintenance. Approximate cost of service: We had the following equipment Installed: micron & backwashing filters; acidic water neutralizer; and water softener. We also had our system modified so that the water could be used for multiple purposes. Our water tastes great and our system is functioning well. The total cost was $8,602.

The tech arrived on time and gave us options on where to place our unit. Installation was easy and quick. There was a small issue that arose later(the drain was dripping too close to our exterior house wall) but they quickly care and remedied the situation.

When we moved into our 1800 sq. ft home in 1992, there was a simple one-tank, salt-based water softener installed in the crawl space. When it finally needed replacing, I had a similar, modestly priced ($600) system installed by Lowe's. Neither did very much other than soften the water a bit, but I was ignorant and assumed this was the best we could do to improve our water. Our water, always hard, acidic, loaded with iron, manganese, and other undissolved and dissolved solids, simply got worse and worse... Jump ahead to 2016. I finally get fed up with the water and my ignorance. I saw that COSTCO had a "deal" with a water system company and had them come out to the house to provide me their solution and estimate. I then called a second company and had them do the same. Both estimates were more money than I wanted to spend, but I soon realized that the pricing was fairly consistent. I then came here to Angie's, saw the ratings for Kinetico, and called them. What a difference. Patrick was not only (more) knowledgeable and personable, he also tested more extensively and took the time to explain everything to me in a way that I both understood and appreciated. Because he was so thorough, I was able to ask intelligent questions and he had answers that made me increasingly comfortable with both him and Kinetico. What sold me was their two-tank system, the reviews I've read, and Patrick's expertise. I made the right decision. The installation went smoothly, the system is in our garage and simple to maintain, and the terms of payment excellent. The Kinetico price was actually a bit less than the other two estimates (one of which kept going up each time I spoke with them). I'd say I got a deal. Our water is now wonderful. We couldn't be more pleased and highly recommend Kinetico.

Kinetico was one of 3 quotes received. Wasn't the least expensive but dos the best job explaining and demonstrating what was needed and why. Came across as very trustworthy. Followed up as promised. I LOVE my drinking water!!! I have banned bottle water from my house :-)

The company we used before had no solutions for us and Kinetico has solved all of our problems.

Overall, the experience was great. Pat was helpful and provided us with all the details and pricing plans up front, and provided a comprehensive water test. The installation itself was quick and unobtrusive, though of course our walk-in crawlspace probably helped with that. The installer was friendly and provided us with all of background information we needed. The only issue we had was pricing. No such equipment is cheap, and this system is clearly no exception. It demands budgeting. We were willing to pay extra though, since the system in question has no electrical or electronic parts (meaning far fewer parts can actually fail).

Workers were punctual. Work took longer than anticipated but they did a thorough job & did a good job of cleaning up as they went.

We have had a long standing problem with iron in our well water that resulted in reddish staining of the toilet bowls. We were having to use Iron Out at least 3-4 times a week to remove the stains. The company that had installed our previous system did not have an available fix for our problem. Also, the system they had installed looked like something my wife and I might have cobbled together. We called Kinetico and their sales rep met with us and thoroughly explained their system and gave us a 100% guarantee that their system would solve the iron problem. One week later the installer was here and he constructed a system that looks like it was designed by an architect-neat, orderly and in a word, beautiful. It looks like it was installed by a professional. Ten days later and there has been no iron staining whatsoever and the water is wonderfully soft. The regional manager for Kinetico came by today to make sure there were no problems and to also to test the water. NO IRON! We thoroughly recommend Kinetico!

I researched all the competitor filtration systems, so Clayton only needed to help me decide on the Kinetico system that best met our needs for our home. Honest sales representative, who explained the benefits of each system with no bias, and quickly arranged installation ahead of schedule. The installer was professional, competent, and informative. Explained the entire system to me while he was installing it and took the time to check out the rest of our plumbing. He noticed the well tank was leaking, which needed to be replaced, and explained why it wasn't to code and could ruin the pump in the well. His assessment was confirmed the next day, when it was repaired by a plumber specializing in drilling and servicing well water pumps. Two weeks later, the regional manager came out to check up on the sales and installation work... chemically checking the water quality and reviewing the maintenance procedures. Everything was perfect. Excellent sales, installation and post-sales service for the premium water filtration system.
