Jim is very professional and friendly. He always meets with us first to understand what we want done. Jim is very knowledgeable and offers great suggestions for plantings, taking into consideration the light, aesthetics of the yard and our budget. He will then send a written proposal that we can review and make changes to before he purchases the plants and begins the work. Once started Jim and his crew work fast and do a great job. They literally transformed our back yard in a single day (and it was a mess). He and his crew do a great job cleaning up and our yard has never looked better. You can tell that Jim truly enjoys what he does and is genuinely concerned with his customers. As an example: We had some water backing up in our crawl space after a big rain and I thought it was due to some large shrubs that Jim planted for us in an area where I believed the drainage pipe to run. I called Jim and asked if he could check with his crew and see if they recalled hitting or seeing a drainage pipe while they were planting the shrubs. He checked with them and called back to tell me that no one had seen or hit a pipe. He could have just left it at that, but he could tell that I wasn't convinced and he came out on the day before Thanksgiving to trace out the drainage pipe himself, digging through heavy wet soil until he found the end of it. As it turns out, it was not related to the shrub planting and the pipe had just clogged/collapsed over time. He then offered to re-route the pipe for me and came out the very next week and had it done. He also sent me pictures of the job so I would know where the pipe ran, in case I ever needed to locate it in the future. You don't find service like that too often these days. I would not hesitate to recommend Journigan Landscaping Solutions and will definitely use them again myself.

Getting Jim to service our yard for routine maintenance is as simple as leaving him a voice mail. He or his crew usually responds that day or the next day by coming by and performing the lawn service. It's a nice surprise to come home after a long day to a well maintained lawn! One less thing to do! The only negative thing I can comment on Jim is his responsiveness to messages left attempting to obtain his services for lawn care other than for routine mowing, I usually have to try several times to contact him, leaving voice mails, before I eventually get up with him or he gets back with me. :( Jim appears to be very knowledgeable in his field often suggesting landscape solutions that are affordable and attractive. He also seems to be a guy with integrity, perhaps this lends to him being hard to get up with?? The only reason I have rated Journigan's with an overall "A" including and an "A" for responsiveness is because he is reliable and responsive with MOWING requests. If you are seeking lawn/landscape services other than regular mowing you will need to be patient and persistent or contract another provider.

Emailed Jim and he met me at my house after work, I told him what I was looking for and he made suggestions based on my budget. Provided me with a email and hard copy estimate and then scheduled the work. Came when he said he would with a friendly team that did a wonderful job and cleaned up completely. Very satisfied.

I made numerous phone calls to this company asking for a quote for aerating, seeding etc. It was in the spring during the time it needed to be done. I left messages and never got phone calls back. My Mother who lives across the street from me first used this company. In the beginning they started out great. The price was very reasonable but they ultimately were not very reliable. They came and did mowing even when she didn't ask them too and she was never able to speak to a person by phone. Messages were left but no calls were returned. She and I ultimately left the company messages telling them that if they were not professional enough to return our phone calls she would no longer need their service and I would not be using their services either. Mr. Journigan actually lived in our neighborhood and this is how my Mother originally located him. He ended up moving and we thought that maybe he was no longer in business. However, while walking my dog yesterday, I saw one of his company's signs in a yard in our neighborhood. Maybe others have had better luck. I realize in the spring and fall landscaping companies are busy but if a company can't handle the business they should at least give us the courtesy of a call back telling us this.

I think they did a wonderful job. There work was very good. They did a good job and they were neat. The people that they had working for them were good. The only problem, and at no fault of their own, one of the back walls on the terrace areas, probably due to water issues, stones have fallen out due to soil falling out from erosion. About two years later, I wanted them to come out and repair it. I called him back after finally finding his number. He said he'd come over and then he never showed up. The initial work was good, and I seriously doubt what they did resulted in the problem. The thing was that he never responded, one way or the other.

My house is in a wooded area and that?s why there is no lawn, but there is only a garden. So, they come out and clean the garden. The last time they came in, they put pine straw back down and trimmed the grass, which made things look neat again. That?s what they do for me, but I am sure they do many other things. They are extremely professional and friendly. I totally trust them. Journigan Landscaping is a very small company with large demand. It?s not always easy to get them exactly when you want them, but it?s worth waiting for them to get the work done. They are punctual, as they stick to their promise and come on time. I will use their services again in the future as well.

He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of planting. He is totally trustworthy and a smart guy. He hires great people. He is prompt and courteous.
