JHR Custom Cabinets

Everything was amazing, they were very responsive considering it was so close to the holidays. They were able to work with me and my time frame, were prompt, and did everything required in a timely manner. They are highly recommended (it's hard to find a good carpenter/contractor these days).

Deck - Quality of carpentry with JHR is excellent. The guys take their time and really make sure their work is done well. I had a previously existing deck that was not build that sturdy. The guys took it down to the frame and updated the bracing, installed new decking and moved the location of the stairs. Was happy with the final product. My only issue was that the new deck could have been rebuilt for roughly the same price to code and I wish we would have gone that direction. JHR does not work with permitting often and therefore did not know the new code. I would say just be open about expectations. Paver walkway to front door. Pavers are great and really happy with my new walkway to the front door. Staining - guys worked fast and got the project done quick. Finished product looked good. In regards to the deck project and coding. I recently had a roof put on my back porch and the only reason I used a different company was because of the amount of coding involved and I didnt want to deal with any of that. There was a possibility that the deck would not pass code and I contacted JHR to discuss the possibility. Jose was happy to come over and discuss possible options in the event the deck needed updated. He was open to helping and making sure the product they finished would not delay any issues. I was appreciative of the extra effort months after the project was finished.

Very well. Professional, precise, detailed work completed in a timely fashion. I will call on JHR again as I have needs. I can't speak to the cost as I did not get additional bids on this small job, although the cost seemed fair for the meticulous work completed.

The job was done very fast and they were attentive to our suggestions the results were better than we had hoped.

They installed a garbage disposal, hung an awning, aligned a French door, installed a security lock, installed a ceiling fan, hung a light and even noticed and corrected an improperly wired chandelier! They are amazing!

I purchased the Angie's List deal for crown molding and had Jose come out to make sure everything would be covered by the deal. He also quoted me for painting/caulking the baseboards, painting the crown molding, and repairing parts of the ceiling. The quote was very reasonable so I decided to get that work done also. Quote was received on May 22nd, work was scheduled on May 27th, work was completed on May 28th. We were really under the gun as we were moving all of our furniture in on May 31st so the fact they were able to get everything done before that really helped us out. Every other contractor was saying it would be 2-3 weeks before they could do it. The crew was outstanding and did quality work in quick order. They also were very careful not to damage to newly installed hardwood floors and cabinets. I will definitely use JHR on my next project and have no hesitation in recommending them.

Jose and the crew are very professional, easy to communicate with and overall wanted us to be completely satisfied with the work.. We have asked for other work to be done based on our experience.

Jose and his crews were always on time and very professional. They built custom cabinets and desks in a study and figured out how to handle tight corners and existing wood ceilings to make everything look amazing. Their painting detail and quality are excellent. I am asking them to work with me again on future projects.

It went great. Jose and crew did a wonderful job and cleaned up. They went over the work with us to make sure it was to our liking and didnt ask for payment until we signed off the work.

They professional and provide an estimate, it just higher then others..

I initially had an appointment set up that I ended up having to cancel. When I tried to reach out to them to reschedule it, I never got a response.

Jose is the only guy I will trust with home repairs from now on. He comes and listens and advises ahead of any work being done. He is flexible, very knowledgeable, completely honest, and does excellent work. I would hire him for any job. He communicates well and his crew guys are extra nice also - Francisco and I can't remember he other guys name, anyway, i was lucky to find JHR and he is my go to guy now. A great service and hard workers.

We requested a quote for some work in our dining room. The work was to create a storage area under the stairs, panel the wall on the staircase and create a hidden door to the storage area. Jose Ramirez could not make the appointment and called to reschedule. Jose came to the followup appointment and reviewed the work. He was to supply an estimate on Monday. The estimate did not come and we had to call to request it. When we received it, it was not broken down. The estimate showed total labor and total material, but no break down. We requested a breakdown from Jose but never received a response. We called Cynthia and explained the work and that we needed to understand the cost breakdown. She promised to contact Jose and send us an updated quote. We never heard anything more. This was a complete waste of time.

They were great. They kept getting in contact with me to make sure that I did not lose my deal. When one guy did not show up they got in touch with me and apologized and sent someone very quickly. They also sent out a plumber to make sure that one of the areas was not leaking onto the drywall. The worker was polite, professional, and did his job quickly and well.

Great experience. Jose provided a quick estimate that was competitive with the other estimates that we received for the job. He was easy to communicate with and supervised his staff nearly every day that they were on-site at my home. During the job, I learned that we had a misunderstanding of what we wanted done on a portion of the remodel which required slightly more work then he anticipated. He did not charge me additional for the work and just said "we'll get it just how you want it". They did just that. Hire Jose with confidence.

They did a very good job. They fixed a ceiling. He got the ceiling smooth and it looks flawless. One gentleman came out to do the service. He was clean, neat and orderly.

It went well. Scheduling was easy. I liked that when he didn’t get the message that on the day we wanted him to come out, he made himself available. They were very accommodating and did a good job. They worked very clean.

We purchased a big deal with JHR Carpentry Painting and Contractors, they came out to our home to discuss the work that needed to be done, but unfortunately the deal was not clear and the extra fees did not work for us, we decided to end this deal.

Sent email for an estimate on 10 February 2014. Received a response same date and had an appointment the morning of 11 February, 2014. Work was agreed upon and started around 27 February. Provider installed all new plumbing for a hot and cold double basin in the unfinished side of my basement. Provider built out a bar in the finished side which included framing, dry wall on walls and ceiling, granite counter top, custom shelves and all finish work to get to paint ready. Provider did finish work in living/kitchen to include fixing floor transition where a wall had been removed, custom columns, ceiling and drywall repair, installed new wood framing, transition pieces and completed everything to paint ready. Was happy with the quality of work, politeness of workers on site and their professionalism that I added another 1000 dollar project to the basement before they were done. They were accommodating and able to get me on the schedule within a couple days of previous project. Overall communication, work and interaction was great.

This review actually covers two jobs done back-to-back. We were so pleased with the first job we decided to get some additional work done. Very professional and courteous, on time, and responsive. Work was high quality. We enjoyed dealing with Jose, who was good about telling us when something didn't need repair, but only paint. Highly recommended.

Jose and his crew took on a challenging custom door installation and did a phenomenal job. They removed three windows from a bump out in our kitchen, created a frame and installed the doors with a windscreen. They finished up with the trim and painting. If you've ever worked with custom doors, they can be very challenging since they aren't typically pre-hung. All the jambs and sill have to be built from scratch. The job took about three days.

They did an excellent job of carpentry, and they did it resourcefully and professionally. When they were done I asked if they could take away the remains from the old door, and they very willingly did so; they had to cut up the rotted boards, and the remains filled a super large trash bag. I would not hesitate to call them again in the future.

This was a Big Deal purchase, the job entailed relocating the shed doors & repairing/replacing some deteriorated wood trim & siding. The owner sincerely wants to please his customers & encourages communication among involved parties. The work was completed, addressing all my concerns in a fair & professional manner.

Jose and his team did a wonderful job. They arrived on time and completed the work in a timely fashion. We had 4 custom shelves made - they look great. The pricing was reasonable.
