Jose called to say he would be probably be 1 hour late as he had problem with his truck. He arrived 1 hr and 1/2 hr late with apologies & for not calling back due to a bad charge on his phone. He and his assistant got to work right away protecting our wood floors with cloth tarps and then preparing the french doors to be shortened. I noticed Jose used blue tape on the line he cut to protect the bottom of the mahogany doors from damage. A sign of good workmanship. This did not go unnoticed and was appreciated. Jose opened the door frame space and checked for internal studs to handle the weight of each door, as they were very heavy. Another good sign of a good carpenter. Then he mitered in the door hinges, and hung the doors with long screws to handle the weight. After each stage of work, they carefully vacuumed the area inside and outside. I didn't have to cleanup at all and my doors looked fabulous and as if they were always a part of the house! Two thumbs up! I was very impressed with the professional job Jose and Juan did. This was a tricky custom job that required much patience, experience and knowledge. Even after a late arrival, I would definitely ask Jose back for additional Carpentry work in the future.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It turned out just fine. They took care of all the things that I asked them to do just like I expected it and it was good. I'll definitely use them again. It cost me $80 more.

They are just great to work with and have around the house! They are very professional and great gentleman! Jose, the owner, is great! Everyone is punctual! Jose calls everyday or is here at the house to make sure everything is going according to plan. They are great craftsman. I just can't say enough about the work that they do! I am so pleased with the work that they have done for me! The end results and the entire process have been a wonderful experience! Their price is very competitive too! I would highly recommend them!

Jose and Miguel were great. They arrived on time, had the right tools and were very quick. I was having 1/2 panels installed in the living and dining areas and then top moulding. They also installed a curtain rod over the patio door and put up moulding in the bathroom. The rooms look fantastic! Jose is sending me an estimate to put flooring down in the same rooms. I will definitely use them again.

The contractor responded within a couple days to set up an appointment. Jose came to look at what we wanted done and proposed some ideas and sent us a picture of what they could build. There were some extra labor costs because the job was more than 6 hours, and we also needed to pay to buy all of the materials. We had a little trouble setting up the date for the job and discussing all of the details but once it was worked out things went well. Juan came early in the morning and worked all day building our seating and cabinet and got it all done in one day. He was very friendly and responsive. The final product is sturdy and has all of the nice finishes. It looks great, Juan is a real pro!

Hired Jose to install a multifold door(8 doors and 10 feet in length) in the house and mount a microwave. He gave me an estimate which was very reasonable and came to do the work on time. This multifold door was a very complex install needing several accessories which could only be ordered online. Many other contractors could not even figure out how to install the door.Jose took the time, understood how the mechanics of the door worked and told me what parts he needed to order to finish the job. He had to make several visits to the house to get all the accessory list. He had lot of patience was on time and finished the installation very professionally. I will definitely hire him for any future handyman work. Great work Jose.

We couldn't be happier with Jose's work! He and his team showed up on time, with a call to let me know they were on their way even. It took them into the night to finish the work, which would have taken any other contractor 2-3 days to complete. He and his team cleaned up as they worked and took off their shoes when they had to come through the house. It was all painless for me and our laundry room is as good as new! We will definitely use JHR again for any other carpentry/painting needs. Highly recommend!!

Jose did the carpentry work for the trim and Oscar his assistant handled the painting. They worked tirelessly late into the night to finish a job in one day that most carpenters would have taken two to complete. I was impressed in how they handled the fact that I requested some additional work be completed and they were not only able to complete it in a professional manner but it looks flawless. I would recommend you speak with Jose before you make any decisions on who you choose to do your carpentry or painting.

Jose and his helper(s) could not have been better. They worked meticulously to our specifications and delivered a great product. Even when there were some touchy details to the building in less than ideal working conditions they really came through. I would use them again and give them the highest recommendation.
