Homewood Nursery is my number one choice for landscaping needs. Good place to go in the Spring and Fall. If you visit late in the growing season in October you will find some very good bargains. Their selection is larger than any other I have seen unless you want to drive to Angier, but they have a lot more variety of trees, flowers, plants. Quality is quite good overall, but you will find some things a little picked over. We got two nice 8-10 ft crepe myrtles for our front yard landscaping project and at a very nice price. Good help may be hard to find at the Nursery due to it's sheer size, but when you can find someone to help they are seasoned experts at what they provide. I usually go here first for my landscaping projects.

This is a premier garden center but over the years I have consistently found that the employees that work here are the worst. I pretty much know what I'm doing and what I want. (I have a 4 year degree in horticulture and almost 50 years of experience) These folks refuse to take the time to listen to me and either snap at me and treat me like I'm stupid, or simply point somewhere and say and quot;it's over thereand quot;. It is a shame that a facility as great as this one with fantastic plants has some of the worst service I've ever seen. I live just a couple of miles away but only shop at Homewood when I have exhausted all the other alternatives. When I do go there, I go out of my way to avoid the help even if it means that I have to wander around forever to find what I'm looking for or leave empty handed.

If one person wants back up suggestions, they do not hesitate to collaborate with other employees. I always feel confident that what I purchase will work.

I think it is the finest nursery in Raleigh. The people there are friendly and knowledgeable. They will take you around to help you find what you need. The facility is very nice and they offer promotions throughout the year.

This garden center has a large collection and wide variety of plants and flowers. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. There is plenty of help available and are friendly and glad to help. The plants are a little higher priced but worth the difference one pays elsewhere. My experience was wonderful and even though I didn't know the names of the plants I was looking for I got exactly what I wanted.

I've visited this nursery twice this year and found the people extraordinarily helpful. I've purchased shrubs and perennials here and I love the variety they have available, from annuals and seasonal specials to shrubs, perennials and trees. Great place to buy plants, and even better when you have questions or tricky situations.
