OWNER-OPERATED KITCHEN/BATH DESIGNER/FAUX FINISHER DESIGNER & FINISHER. NO SUBS. COST IS DETERMINED BY THE JOB/PROJECT OR DESIGN CONSULTATION FEES. MAY CONTACT THROUGH EMAIL.
Our bathroom is beautiful! The job took a little longer than anticipated and exceeded the budget. One of my concerns was that I didn't get a sketch of what the finish product would look like and it made me uncomfortable not knowing if I would like it. But things turned out well, Tari was able to determine my likes and dislikes and I have a bathroom that I really like.
Description of Work: Complete renovation of our master bath: replaced tile floor, removed garden tub and replaced it with a large tiled shower, replaced large mirror and vanities, replaced toilet, and painted walls and ceiling (popcorn celing was scraped).

I knew that I wanted to change the look of my kitchen but was hesitant to make choices on my own. Tari was the perfect person to handle this project! She listened to my thoughts and concerns and translated those into a working plan with a beautiful outcome. Since my cabinets were in great shape but not the style that I wanted, she decided to change their look by adding extra trim and molding, plus painting the cabinets off-white with a charcoal glaze. Her carpenter did a wonderful job with the trim, giving the cabinets a richer, more substantial look. He also was able to repair a broken appliance garage that I wanted to save. Tari selected the paint color for the cabinets, had the doors removed and painted off-site, then she herself glazed everything for a beautiful traditional effect. Tari also showed me options for a new backsplash to complement the newly painted cabinets and the existing granite - I felt like her selections were thoughtfully chosen and we easily decided on one. She designed the combination of travertine 'subway' tiles and accent tiles and had her accomplished tile man install them. It looks beautiful. Her painters were unbelievable perfectionists! They handled the painting of the cabinets, the kitchen walls and the connecting family room, along with the window and door trims, the doors themselves (I have several entering into the family room/kitchen area) and the crown and floor molding. Tari suggested painting the ceiling a softer shade of the wall color in order to make the crown molding pop. She showed me selections of paint color and we easily decided on one. As for her painters, I have never had painters who were such perfectionists. They taped, they sanded, they removed all imperfections on the walls and ceiling, then they primed and double coated it all. Their work on the cabinets was equally impressive. Tari herself is an artist and she glazed all of the cabinets herself, which the painters then sealed. Since the ceiling was being painted and the fixtures removed, I took that opportunity to replace those fixtures. Tari selected them and I loved her choices. Oh yes, she also changed the cabinet hardware, mixing some of my existing knobs with more current handles and pulls. I love the effect of three different types (same finish!), a touch that I never would have thought of. Tari was lovely to work with - I felt like she and quot;gotand quot; what I was looking for and was able to translate my sometimes half-formed musings into the style that I wanted. She understood what I was aiming for quickly and came up with solutions that fit my vision for the space. Her employees were very professional, did an expert job and were easy to work with. Contacting Tari via phone or email during the process was easy and she was very responsive. I would definitely work with her again!

She was very nice but I didn't hire her. I got a different designer. I paid her $150 for the consultation. She was very nice and knowledgeable. She had good ideas and I would recommend her. She really didn't do anything for me; it was just a conversation. She did show up on time for the one appointment. She was professional. She was good for the time I had her in my home but that was the extent of it. I found somebody else that I clicked with so I wouldn't need her in the future.
Description of Work: I met with Tari at Hamilton Design Works because we were remodeling a master bathroom and powder room. She saw the project and we talked for a while.

Tari is very professional and knowledgeable. She's very responsive, easy to work with and I love her ideas. She very quickly gathered a sense of our style and what we wanted. She ensured the decor coordinated well with our master bedroom. It is beautiful. We did have a delay with the installation because the granite counter top was dropped and broken the day it was scheduled for installation. This was not Tari's fault. Also, the actual price was about $600 above the estimate due to additional items we requested and the cost of the faucets we selected. Tari provided complete documentation and invoices detailing all expenses.
Description of Work: Hamilton Design redecorated our bathroom, replacing counter tops, sinks, faucets, lighting, and mirrors. Tari provided design services and acted as the contractor. A granite counter top was installed with travertine vessel sinks, oil-rubbed bronze faucets and hardware, and travertine mirrors and lighting. It is absolutely breath-taking.

She was at our home almost daily during a 4 week remodeling project. She was very good and we liked her very much. She was recommended by the contractor that we hired for our remodeling and they worked very well together.
Description of Work: She designed our newly remodeled kitchen and bath. She worked with us picking out all of our granite, tile, paint, and colors for tile and walls. She also assisted in fixtures. She glazed the cabinets and also completed a venetian plaster treatment to our bathroom walls.
