Green Roots Environmental Design

Description of Work: As a result of some work around our house (mostly a wrap-around driveway) rain water run off became a problem, causing erosion down the wooded incline of our back yard. The Green Roots guys came over, identified two likely spots for rain gardens, tested the soil and marked off the spaces. During this time, we started talking with them about our ultimate plans for turning the large backyard into something like a park with native plants, and they with their design degrees and experience, they helped us to refine our layouts. Realizing that we'll both be too old to walk that park by the time we have completed it, and being so pleased with Green Root's work and support, we turned the job over to them. Within two weeks, we had the yard we've dreamed of, one that will continue to grow and change and delight us.

Description of Work: James Clark designed an amazing plan for the back of my property, including extensive plantings, intricate stone pathways, car parking, fire pit, ornamental sculpture. He and his top-notch crew executed the plan with meticulous efficiency.

Description of Work: We hired Green Roots Environmental Design to remove our grass in our front yard and redo the entire yard for us. This entailed rotatiling, bringing in two loads of topsoil, doing some re-grading, spreading the topsoil and reseeding the lawn. They were excellent!! They were very professional, did the work in a timely manner, knew exactly what seed to use for our yard and gave us detailed instruction regarding how to care for the lawn. While we did not utilize their design abilities, we know that their landscape design capabilities are excellent since the two owners of this company are graduates of the NCSU College of Design. We would highly recommend them to others!
