My mom ordered sympathy flowers for my daughter through USAA who contracted with Great Blooms and we received a tag on our door that delivery had been attempted in early afternoon. I called that day and let them know we would be home the rest of the day and a very nice young woman said they would redeliver that day. When we still hadn't received anything the next afternoon I called at 2:30 and was put on hold while they spoke with the driver. I was told they were on their way. At 4:45 when no one had come, I called and they said the driver was back and had actually come at 1:45 and left a door hanger. I went to check and the door hanger was in a bush. I received no phone call or anything that they were going to deliver the flowers at that time - it is nap time for my little ones and do not have the door bell availaible so we didn't hear the knock (not expecting anyone to come). The lady said I could come pick up the flowers in Raleigh - a 25 min drive! After explaining the situation, she was very apologetic and put the owner on the phone. Gary picked up the phone and was immediately rude and combative. His first comment was that he tried to deliver the flowers twice and since I obviously have a problem answering the doorbell, he was not doing it again. I explained that they were to be redelivered the night before and his response was "well, we ran out of time." So without any contact, he tried to have them redelivered at his convenience and that counted as his 2nd delivery. He also told me "he never told me a delivery time." When I replied that his employee did, he said she had no authority to do that and that he was "done talking to me and if I wanted the flowers I could come down and get them." I have no idea how someone with his attitude is still in business. Evidently he just wanted to get out of the shop because when my husband called back 10 min later, he had "gone home for the day."
Description of Work: He was supposed to deliver flowers to my young daughter but we did not end up receiving them. The owner is one of the rudest people I have ever spoken with and I strongly recommend people stay away from him.

DISASTER. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOON AT ALL COSTS! Read all the Yelp reviews, too! What should I start with? The fact that the owner yelled at her and then slammed the phone down, after he told her that online orders go on the back shelf? The kids pooled their money to send my sister flowers for Mother's Day. Sunday, no flowers; Monday, no flowers; Tuesday-no flowers...but hey, on Tuesday night, got a nice phone call from a lady 7 miles away telling her she has the flowers! The flowers had already started to wilt by the time she drove over and picked them up Wednesday morning. So, she placed a call to the florist and explained what happened, trying to get a refund put on her daughter's card. The owner was so belligerent and rude that it was astounding! Proceeded to tell her that they never refund any online orders, even though they advertise they are an FTD florist, and have a 100% money back guaranty on their own website! He claimed that the online provider is the one who messed up the address, however the card with the flowers had the correct address listed. He YELLED "Well, that is news to me!" Then, he asked if she knew how busy he was on Mother's Day and that they had run out of flowers! No apologies. No refund. And, apparently, she is not the only one. Five reviewers on YELP! had similar exchanges. This guy seems to make a habit of slamming the phone down on his customers. This guy seriously needs to up his meds, and sell the business. STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY...YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

I ordered a beautiful bouquet and a necklace from FTD.Com for my mom for Mothers Day. It was to arrive on Monday the 12th but it never did. When I called FTD they said they would contact the florist responsible for delivering the order. After talking with 3 different people about why my Mom never got her flowers, they all said that the florist hasn't returned their call so they don't know what happened. So I just cancelled the order but on Wednesday the 14th, my Mom got the delivery. When she sent me a pick of what they delivered to her i was even more angry because the bouquet wasn't even half as nice as the one I ordered and spent over $100 on. So i called Great Blooms to complain. The first girl who answered, an employee, listened to my complaint about it being late and not what I ordered and then just said ok well sorry. So I asked to talk to the owner who then got on the phone and yelled at me for ordering online! Told me that unless I order directly from him I am not a customer or even a priority! When I started to explain that I am out of state from my mom and this was still money I spent and never had a problem before with online ordering he just hung up on me!Very poor service and if money is spent then I am a customer and should be treated with respect! I will never use this florist again and will spread the word! Hopefully they will go out of business!!!!!

This Lady is wrong on all counts. She ordered thru FTD service instead of calling a local florist where her Mom lives. A google search would have found one she could have called directly and that florist would have full control of the order and have delivered it on time. Instead when a person uses a wire service such as FTD, Bloonmet, Teleflora, the order is routed in their system and there is no control by the florist as to when they receive the order to full fill. Wire services always over book order deliveries and send then electronically to florists who service them. This Mother's Day weekend was no exception. By the time we got the order it was late on the evening on the 13th. We completed the order the following morning. As far as the arrangement goes, the wire services are notorious of showing a larger premium picture called premium with a standard arrangement size price for the order, therefore the customer thinks that they did not get what they ordered. It is true if the customer called the florist directly, there would be no lag time to get the order completed and delivered. We have cancelled our contract with FTD due to issues like this. Would be willing to send her mother an arrangement for her birthday if the customer would like free to compensate for her ill feelings toward us. All she has to do is call us directly and ask for Donna and we will make it happen.
