Over the phone a price was quoted for $200. When we went to Best Buy to purchase the TV, the salesman told me it would be $300. When I asked for the Geek Squad manager, I explained it was a simple drywall mount and the price quoted by his department over the phone was $200. He told me it would be $350 and that was it. The guy was rude, totally out of line. I walked out without purchasing the TV and found another installer that charged $160.00 and did a fantastic job.

Wonderful service...great experience! The Geek Squad arrived on time as booked, and spent 3 hours setting up / installing the new 4K TV I had purchased. He also provided and configured a new Harmony Universal Remote for the TV and all of the configurations for an additional fee...well worth it since some of the configuration, such as going to YouTube and back to TV, were a little tricky. They noted that one of the back panels was not quite properly fastened in case I wanted to return it. But the panel is sticking out about 1/16 of an inch and not noticeable so I kept it. They were very knowledgeable about both the new TV and setup, as well as configuring the Harmony remote. They spent some additional time showing me how to navigate the screen and smart TV. Overall, I was very pleased with their service.
Description of Work: Setup and installed new 4K TV, configured Harmony Universal Remote for TV.

The process went well. He was very knowledgeable and was able to explain to us why our "old" slingbox was not working. He also provided us with useful information on getting the most our of the device we had just purchased.

He cleared the line and before he left he ran the machine again to make sure it was working properly. He also showed me how to clean food particles out of the bottom of the machine and told me how often it should be performed.
Description of Work: My dishwasher was showing an error message and would fill with water but did not drain. The serviceman ran the washer to check out the problem himself and then was able to clear it up.

Lousy he checked out my system and said everything check out ok. but the next day i could not print with my wireless printer and my wireles wifi would work for 15min and shut down i unplug it and replug it and work for 15 min and shut down. I do know what he did but had to buy another wirless router. I email the problem to the geek squad and no results. I purchased another router from walmark and installed it myself and it all is working good. I just lost $99.00 to the geek squad for lousy work.
Description of Work: check out my wireless wifi and router and repair same.

I had to wait in line for half an hour just to talk to someone about what I was looking for. Then I had to wait in line again to find out where I needed to go. There were probably 4 or 5 things you had to do just to make a purchase.

I only used them on that one occasion, and their services were fine. I would consider them if I were to buy something big like that. I always get the price from more than one person, and their price was about average.
Description of Work: I bought some equipment from Best Buy, and it had a warranty. We had a lightning strike and it took out the equipment, they couldn’t fix it, so they replaced it.

I went to the best buy store on Capital Blvd. to pick up a friend's PC, That had been repaired. The best Buy person said to me do you have your paper work. I said NO. The Best Buy person said I can't let you have it. I asked can I have my friend Fax you the paper work? Would that work. He said he didn't know but he would ask. He had to talk to the manager. ONE HOUR Later the manager said No. This is not the only time I have had trouble with this store. In fact I will not buy anything from best buy myself. I stopped shopping there because I found The Sales men will tell you anything for you to buy there extra cloverage.

After turning the machine in, I was promised a response within 48 hours. I took nearly a week, with one excuse after another as to why it was not done yet. First, they said they couldn't get the video to work (it was working when I turned it in), the next, it was that they couldn't get it to complete their diagnostics checks. Finally, when it was done, their explanation was that it was a software problem. The rationale? Since it passed all their tests, it MUST not be a hardware issue. Never mind that the software had been rebuilt from scratch. Never mind that I had been told multiple times that the diagnostic tests weren't working. Unfortunately, I was out of town, so I was not able to argue with them about in person, and my wife did not know enough herself to do so. Ultimately, I took it into another shop and they eventually diagnosed the problem as a bad motherboard. After replacing it, the machine began to work.
Description of Work: My computer would not boot into Windows. My own diagnostics showed that it was not a windows problem, and it was not the power supply or memory. (I had insufficient spare parts to rule out the remaining components.)

The location on Capital Blvd is THE best location for consistently providing great customer service. My husband and I went in and wanted some information about netbooks and the sales associate was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the product without being pushy. He listened to our concerns and our needs as well as our limit on a budget. The manager of home theater I believe, came over to assist him with the transaction and he made sure to point out that we were Silver Reward customers and that we have spent a lot of money at Best Buy and thanked us for all our business. This truly is one of the best locations we have shopped at and this includes stores in Florida and West Virginia.

The experience was fine. They had the best deal around at the time. The one drawback that I remember is that the guy kept trying to sell me the service contract. Apparently, they were told to push and push hard. I have been back there but not for another tv.
