Disappointed with depth of drain tiles- much of which is only 2 to 4 inches under soil. Stone wall ranges from 18-22 inches high (under estimated stone needed for job). Perforated drain tile once overlayed with gravel is only 2 inches below soil surface and soil reaches top of wall- not 6-8 inches below. Due to location of drain tiles- makes it impossible for me to re-grade or adjust slope either on high or low side of the wall. They day he finished- it rained .25 in that evening and water ran off the back yard straight into my crawlspace! I couldn't be mad at him about rain from the roof or from other sources. I called him to request his helper to dig a divert trench, he returned my calls- mostly because he wanted to cash the check at our bank and needed us to call the bank to approve it. He was more concerned about check cashing than the mud. He came over to the house to see what I was talking about, but never returned to make any adjustments.
Description of Work: Drain tiles for gutter downspouts replaced (6) requiring extensive trenching (2 days with excavator/backhoe). Regraded back yard and added short stone wall to divert rain run-off and soil from back of house. Stone wall to be 2 feet high facing back door and 6-8" inches high on back side. Perforated drain tile with gravel overlay to be one foot below ground and run along back side of wall to divert water. Remove all debris in crawlspace and laid new 12 mil poly throughout- all to reduce moisture in crawlspace.

Work on the HVAC system was effective and needed a lot of attention. Cleaned and chlorinated coils and sealed ducting. The electrical was well done and tidy. The gas line install is a little sloppy, but performed to code and works fine. I disconnected the washing machine knowing it would have to be pulled out. Disappointed when job was completed that the washer was left disconnected and the shut off valve on gas line was closed. Putting this back together was a pain for me, as I'm very short, while a grown man could easily reach valve and washer fittings, I could not. He reported a drain leak and fixed trap on kitchen drain while under the basement; this was an additional $115 from original estimate.
Description of Work: Serviced gas furnace, heat exchanger, and A.C. unit. Installed gas line to utility room for gas dryer. Installed two 20Amp circuits for kitchen outlets ground with GFI protection.
