Finish Pros

The response to my inquiry was prompt and a gentleman came out to give me an estimate very quickly. He assured me that my old loveseat was a very good one that would not need any repairs, just recovering with a little extra padding. I wanted microsuede in order to be cat claw proof and saw a variety of colors and even different textured. The work was completed in 2 1/2 weeks, well within the estimate. They agreed to pick up at one address and deliver to another as well. I was very happy with the result and will use this company again.

From start to finish dealing with Finish Pros was perfect. I first contacted them via their online form before getting onto a plane. By the time I landed I had both an email and phone message from Rachel. That impressed me right away. I set up a date for Ben to come out for an estimate. He arrived on time and was very knowledgeable. He helped me find the perfect fabric and refinish color for my chairs. I had originally only called to get an estimate for the chairs but we liked him so much we asked if he could also give us a quote for the cushions on our newly purchased couch (we were unhappy with couch's quality in regards to the cushions). We loved his professionalism but he was also just a friendly guy - we felt confident after our experiences with Rachel and Ben that they would do a good job. Timeframe for delivery of work was 4-6 weeks. We scheduled a pick up for the following week and another guy (wish I could remember his name because he also deserves a shout out) was also really nice and professional. Our items were ready in 5 weeks and delivery was on time. And WOW! everything came out better than I expected. The chair that was a total refinish and reupholstery is beautiful and I plan on having it in my home forever. I'm already planning on using them again and have already referred a friend to them. From start to finish the transaction was flawless and the work is absolutely perfect.

Very professional, punctual and, above all, informative! They gave me the information I needed to make plans and save for an upcoming reupholster job. And , guess who I'm calling to do the work! Excellent customer service.

Finish Pros had to remove part of the upholstery in order to fix the chair, which the first repair shop did not take the time to do. I could tell as soon as my husband brought it home that we would be able to sit in the chair again. The job was very professional. They put the upholstery back so that you would never know it was removed and straightened the chair leg. I would definitely use Finish Pros again.

Within just a couple days of my phone call to Finish Pros, they came to my house, assessed the restoration project and picked it up to begin the work. The 1921 Singer sewing machine cabinet was in terrible shape- missing and damaged veneer , broken drawers, worn finish, etc. Finish Pros did a remarkable job restoring it. It took longer than we expected but all during the process I was contacted with updates as to the progress. The outcome was unbelievable! It looks good as new while still maintaining its authentic, antique look. Great customer service from start to finish and excellent quality of work. I would definitely call them again.

Dan and his crew did a wonderful job reupholstering my french settee..They were very professional and pleasant to deal with.

The staff was very nice, and they did a quality job. However, the finish on the top of the table doesn't match the finish on the bottom, and it's quite obvious. Specifically, the bottom has a gloss finish, and the top now has a satin finish. Because of this, I will not use them in the future.

This was a great experience from start to finish. They showed up with great samples, great ideas, and a wealth of knowledge. I had a friend here to help me make decisions, but it was a lot easier than I anticipated because the design ideas Finish Pros came up with were so on point for my needs. Two of my chairs were from thrift shops, but I found them to be comfortable but not so attractive. I had almost decided to give both away. I'm glad I didn't! The first was an easy chair with an ottoman. I thought it was from the 50s, but Dan estimated it was more likely 100 years old. It is now more comfortable and beautiful, but its character remains intact. The second was an "office chair" I was on the fence about re-doing. But its excellent structural features were shown to me and a great suggestion to recover it in a recycled , soft leather was made. Third was an antique gooseneck rocking chair--with broken wood on the front, horrible homemade repairs on the arms, and a faded fabric. All of that was repaired and the fabric replaced with a much better fabric to complement the wood. Everyone who has seen the finished products are amazed. Furniture was delivered a tiny bit later than I thought, but I had been warned that fall home shows and commitments might slow them down a bit. Communication via messages within Angie's list were answered promptly.

Ben first provided an estimate for refinishing my birch cabinets with a painted and glazed finish.. They discussed finishes and the procedures for the job. They then did a test door to ensure that it could be refinished per the estimate as well as confirm color and finish choice. The door was returned to my home for review. It looked great. We then scheduled the work to be done. They scheduled to pick up all the drawers and doors to finish off-site just like the test door a week before the cabinet frames would be refinished. They also assisted with getting new hinges and drawer pulls. The first day onsite the crew covered countertops, floors, ceilings, appliances etc. Since my kitchen is smaller they finished midday and then proceeded to begin the refinishing process. The process took two days and great care was taken by the crew. They reinstalled the doors and drawers and then did an inspection of all of the work. The final day (day 3), Ben did a final review of the work, discussed my experience and I then made final payment. The cabinets look beautiful. I plan to use them again for other work in my home given the quality of the work and the professionalism of the crew.

He did a great job repairing it. He did an absolutely gorgeous job on it. When I look at it I can't even tell it's been repaired. I would recommend him to anybody else. He picked it up and dropped off for free.

I selected these folks because of other reviews here on Angie's List. Our dining table, a farm table, 4' x 8', had accumulated quite a bit of surface damage over 45 years of use. Ben and the team from Finish Pros assured us they could make it gorgeous once again, even though it was pitted, scratched, and, in some cases, deeply grooved from years of abuse. There were even two unsightly burns in the top. They even offered to darken the stain to match the wood of the new ladder-back chairs I bought to highlight the occasion of the repair. They were as good as their word; and, if I could figure out how to post a picture on here, I'd show you the results. The table is ready for another 45 years. The only reason I gave less than "straight As" (above) are as follows: The final price of the table was significantly higher than the estimated price quoted to me over the phone; though, to be fair, no one from Finish Pros had actually seen the table before the final quote for work. (Still, an increase of nearly 50% was a bit of a shock). As for punctuality, the work did take about a week longer than originally estimated. While that wouldn't be a problem (there was a lot of work to be done, stains to apply, etc.) -- there was another small problem. Finish Pros had taken one of my ladder-back chairs to use as a reference when trying to match the stain color; and, when the table was returned, they forgot to bring the chair back. We didn't receive IT for nearly two more weeks. Given the quality of the restoration and the overall beauty of our table, though, we consider those small deficiencies to be acceptable and would recommend this company to you without reservation.

Finish Pros did a great job of refinishing a large console table and a smaller hall table. The color I requested was perfect and they did a great job of applying some light accent paint to give both pieces a slightly rustic look. The finish was very professional. We have received lots of compliments on both tables and they match the other pieces in our condo perfectly. They picked up and delivered the tables. Ben was great to work with. We are very happy with the job they did.

The table was picked up and take to the location. It was determined that they needed to order new runners in order to repair the table. There was a delay in getting the runners. Once they were finally in, the repair work was done. They did a very good job.

Wow-what a great job! Could not have been more pleased from the moment they come for a consult to the moment they returned the items. The were very professional and caring in the meaning that the furniture had to us. On the rocking chair handles they were mindful of the wearing on the handles where my Dad had used them-they cleaned them but left the memories for us-Thank You! Would highly recommend them and will use them in the future.

Finish Pros are definitely pros in this business! As a hobbyist woodworker for many years, the construction of my projects has been very good but the end finish has been less than desirable as I don't have the necessary equipment to do what Finish Pros can do. I had three Rosewood tables that came out of my shop very nice but were quickly damaged as I had used a wipe-on polyurethane that just doesn't stand up to everyday use. Dan came right to my house, discussed my options and took the tables away. Less than 4 weeks later they were returned and they look brand new again, only with a professional, lacquer finish that will last for many years to come. The attention to detail is superb and I am very satisfied with the "finished" product. Finish Pros is not cheap, but in this case you really do get what you pay for. If you have a special piece of furniture needing the best of care and don't want to risk the possibility of sub-par results, I would recommend this company.

Finish Pros did an excellent job for us. We provided the measurements and described how we wanted them constructed. The end product was great. They called a couple of times during the process to make sure they understood exactly what we wanted, and got it right. Very high quality work. Friends are all envious after they had experiences with others that didn't measure up.

They showed up on time and did a fantastic job on the table. Irs the best it has ever looked and its a very expensive 1940's solid mahogany table. My only compliant is that they said they would have it for two to three weeks. What they didn't explain was that for the vast majority of that time it was sitting there with nothing being done to it. When i called after two weeks to get a status and told them I had to have it back in a week they got it done quickly. Just discuss expectations and ensure they understand you cant have your dining room table gone for several weeks unless the PROCESS of refinishing the furniture actually takes that long.

It took longer than promised but they apologized and did a great job.

All pieces came back beautifully done, they worked with my interior decorator. The fabrics she chose were perfect for each of them and the deconstructed bankers bookcases look fantastic within my built in book shelves. They were picked up on time and delivered as planned. I was very pleased with the work done and the manner in which they interacted with me and my decorator.

It was a great experience. The turn around time was just a few weeks. The quality was outstanding and I couldn't be more pleased.

The final work was great. The chairs, about 200 years old, are now completely serviceable for our regular dining use. The work was well done. It took for ever, though. 4 full weeks longer than estimated. Granted, this was due to issues with the subcontractor who did the re-rushing, but we were without chairs for our dining room for almost 3 months. Too long. I did love the attention to detail in redoing the chairs, and the obvious enthusiasm for our old chairs - older than we had imagined. The guys had an infectious joy for their work which was great.

Pretty good. I had an big deal of $99 for $200 worth of work. We had an old trunk, wasn't in too bad shape. The total cost was $350, so I basically got $100 off. They were very prompt in returning my call and coming out to pick up the trunk. Not all of the damaged parts were repaired (leather handles, for example), but I assumed that was either extra or that is the new look (don't make something that is antique look brand new).

The vitrine needed a new top, the service tray needed to be completely refinished, and the wash stand was so wobbly that it was on the verge of falling apart. Finish Pros fabricated a new oak top that complemented the style of the vitrine perfectly and the top's stain finish was amazing--it flawlessly matched the original wood on the vitrine body. They achieved the same results with the oak service tray refinishing job. Although the wash stand was falling apart, its finish was good. Finish Pros completely disassembled the wash stand, cleaned and re-glued all the joints, and applied some additional bracing on the underside at critical points. They also repaired an imperfection on the top of the wash stand. The product they returned to me was as solid as a rock and good to last another 100 plus years. I had intended to take my furniture to three businesses for estimates and Finish Pros was my first stop of the day. Dan's knowledge and expertise told me that I need search no further to have my work done. This is a highly professional business that gave me superb customer service and a wonderful finished product.

I called and left a message on the Finish Pros answering machine. I didn't get a return call so I called them back. I discussed what I needed done with their office manager and set up an appointment for 9:00 am on 5/22/13 to have them look at my furniture and give me a quote. Twenty minutes before the appointment I got a call from the office manager that the person coming out was in an accident and could't make the appointment but she could make another appointment a week or more later. The person coming out called me back a little later. I explained that based on my experience (no return phone call, cancelled appointment, not being able to reschedule for a week or more) I did not want to reschedule and would find another company to do the work. Based on this experience I didn't feel they wanted my business.
