Finish Pros

All of the people I dealt with at FinishPros were thoroughly professional, the assessment of the work required was accurate, both in scope and in the eventual total price. The estimate was spot on and the final price was on par with other estimates before the discount coupon. FinishPros does not subcontract their work- they have crafts people on staff who do repair, refinishing, and upholstery, so they have control of all aspects of a job. Some companies or individuals who do this kind of work do use other companies or people to do piece-work, so they may not be accountable to the end result. I was impressed by FInishPros and would recommend them to others and use them again myself. .

They did a very good job in getting it presentable again. Dan explained that with the Christmas holidays, it would take longer than normal to do the repair. That was fine with us. I called toward the end of January wondering if it was done and it had just been finished. Delivery was arranged for a couple of days later. I had to change the time from early to later afternoon and it was done with no problem.

Ben Weidner, one of the owners, was able to come earlier in the day then we had scheduled, which was wonderful! He was most knowledgable, friendly and polite, and was not at all rushed despite my numerous questions. He obviously knew what he was doing as he took the table apart and wrapped it for moving. In addition, he suggested taking one of the chairs to make sure the table finish matched. I would not have thought of that. The table was returned today, two weeks earlier than the 4 week estimate, and looks beautiful! Ben put it back together, again answered questions, and was able to give me estimates on two other items that I will definitely have Finish Pros work on. All and all a very positive experience, with a delightful professional and beautiful results. I'd definitely recommend their services.

I found Finish Pros from Angie's list - Big deal. I purchased the deal of $99 for $200 value on line. Then called the company. Bent called me back quickly. We setup a date for him to come to see the table. He looked at the table and indicated to me that it is a very good quality table and worth to refinish it. He provided the price. I felt it was reasonable. So Bent took the table right after. I got the table back after new year it was about little over 4 weeks. Dan delivered the finished table back. It looks great. The finish could be more gloss (it is semi gloss). Dan offered to come back to add more gloss finish. But we are OK with what it looks like and decided not to add more gloss. Whole process went well. We definitely will use their service again. We have a solid wood sofa and a chair from my mother in law as well and need to be refinished and upholstering. We have decided to let them take care of them for us.

Arrived on time; pleasant and professional and very educated on furniture where it was from and dates of time era. Dressers have been taken to shop and will be ready in approximately 4 weeks. I feel confident that a great job will be done as I got to see a finished product that was being delivered following my Consult. Also got an estimate on re-upholstering an very old chair that I will have this company do when dressers are completed. Will get back to you regarding finish.

So far I am pleased with my experience.

The foot on a walnut chest was broken off... clean break. They glued it back on, and I could not see the break. A rocker was completely broken off a chair. The man who gave the estimate (I don't remember his name) originally thought they would have to make a new rocker and stain it to match the chair, but they were able to reattach it, and again, the seam is barely visible. The Hoosier hutch was more complicated. A door on the top section would not close, and the glass was broken. The bottom door also would not close. Previous to the move, the cabinet was in pristine condition. They did not do as great a job on the hutch, and the doors are still difficult to close. This was a disappointment. They also recovered the seat in a Victorian straight chair (I provided the fabric), and the work is very nice. As for time.... I was promised the furniture back the Friday before Thanksgiving, which I needed since I was having house guests for the holiday. They called and said it would be delivered the Wed before Thanksgiving. When I insisted that I had to have it earlier, they delivered it on Monday. That would not have been an issue if I did not have plans.

We contacted Finish Pros through Angie's List to do reupholstering to an over sized chair and ottoman in our sun room. We were particular about this chair and ottoman as they are expensive well built furniture. We contacted them and three others for bids. After seeing all bids and the companies, we chose Finish Pros. The price was not the lowest or highest but fair. We were impressed with the representative enough to have them do the work. This was shortly before Thanksgiving. We wanted the work done and back before the holiday. They met and exceeded all of our expectations in quality of work done and timing. We were so impressed we had them do our living room furniture also. We had planned on doing this job later but liked the work so well we had them do the work now. We had them pick it up a while after the Thanksgiving holiday. We expected we would get it all back after the Christmas holiday. We were pleasantly surprised when the called and said they would deliver it back on the 21st.. They did a great job on the living room furniture as well. It does look better than it did when we purchased it. We picked the material patterns that suit us now. I am very happy with them and even more importantly my wife is thrilled with the finished products. This has been like a bonus gift to us this Christmas. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to everybody I know. I am sure my friends would thank me. I can tell you not to think twice about contacting them for your job as they are that good.

They were great. They came out and picked it up, gave me an estimate, and there weren't any surprises, they came back out when they said they would and they were just awesome.

Everyone at Finish Pros is extremely professional. I called for a quote on the furniture I wanted done. They scheduled an appointment for the following week. I had three different companies look at the work I wanted to do. Finish Pros came in with the best pricing, but it was more than that, they also came with the best attitude and a true appreciation for the pieces I showed them. I knew they were going to handle them with importance. I called them back and asked them to pick up the pieces, which they did, always working around my schedule. They gave me a turnaround time of four weeks. I was happily surprised when they called 3 1/2 weeks later and scheduled the delivery date for the week following. When the pieces arrived, they were stunning. It brought tears to my eyes because the table is the one that my grandmother used and it meant the world to us. It was like a new life was breathed into it. They explained the details of the work they did and they were able to fix a broken leg on the sideboard to the point that you wouldn't even be able to guess which one it is. My husband and I were truly delighted. I have gone back to them and they are currently working on reupholstering a chair for us. I am excited to see the outcome!

The repair was of a lattice-backed wooden dining room chair. Wood had gradually chipped away from and in places broken the wood in the lattice back, which is pretty intricate. I was impressed that Finish Pros took the initiative to get the chair fixed in fine order by the specialty woodworker rather than just calling me back and saying they could not do the job.

Overall it went very well. All staff professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. One note for others, I was asked if I would like to have the finish matched to another piece of my furniture - I said yes but didn't know there was an additional charge- it was clearly listed on my bill before work was started - so my oversight - so just be aware of charge. Work was well done- piece looks great.

I found Finish Pros on Angie's List and called them for an estimate to refinish a china cabinet and kitchen table and chairs. Dan arrived at the time we scheduled. He is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of furniture refinishing and upholstery. He carefully inspected each item and explained what would be done. He gave me a detailed estimate for both items. We discussed the length of time it would take to complete the project and that Finish Pros would pick up and deliver the items. We agreed that I would call if I decided to have the items refinished, which I did. The items were picked up as promised at which time I gave a deposit for the work to be done. Upon deliver of the furniture items, Ben looked at the wing back chairs, assured me that they were worth reupholstering, and gave me a "ball park" figure as to how much it would cost. He explained that I could choose a fabric from their extensive selection or supply my own. I decided to go ahead and have the chairs and ottoman reupholstered. When Finish Pros picked them up, I was given a detailed estimate of the cost and gave them a deposit check. I am absolutely thrilled with Finish Pros work. The attention to detail is incredible, as is their knowledge. They are pleasant, professional, and wonderful to work with. The time line for the jobs and the estimate was right on target. As a matter of fact, the furniture refinishing turned out to be less than the estimate! I would not hesitate to use them again and would recommend them highly to friends or neighbors.

They said they could not repair my sofa.

One cannot detect where there was even a scratch prevcioiusly. Cane was restored/repaired, new cushions with fabric. A-One job. Ben was always nice and professional as was Carolyn. Both were more than patient in my fabric selection. Will definitely be using again for all refinishing and upholstery.

I had a very positive experience working with FinishPros. Everybody I dealt with was polite, knowledgable, friendly and professional. I will work with them again in the future.

The entire experience was excellent and will look forward to using Finish Pros in the near future.

I bought an Angie's List deal for $99 for $200 worth of work from Finish Pros. My dining room table has two pedestal style legs and one had a very large crack and split in it from a previous move. Ben from Finish Pros came out to the house within a week of calling them, looked at the leg, gave me a fair estimate of $200, and took it with him. In a couple weeks, he brought it back, put the table back together and I can't even tell which leg they fixed. I am very satisfied with this company. They had previously painted my kitchen cabinets and had done an excellent job on that also. I highly recommend them.

This is the second time we have hired them to do work. They are always prompt, courteous and professional. They are knowledgable about antique furniture and do amazing work. I would recommend them highly.

Ben came out and looked at the table, which had been damaged by our dog getting on the top, and gave us an estimate of $675.00 to make the repairs and refinish the table. After a couple of weeks had past, we decided to go ahead with the repairs. Refinish Pros had begun offering an Angie's List "Big Deal" to spend $100 and get $200 off and Ben said they would honor it, even though it started after the initial estimate was given. Ben came back out and picked up the table. He said it would take about three weeks to complete the job. He also took a drawer from the matching china cabinet to use to match the finish. We got the table back in approximately three weeks and the repairs and finish were excelllent. The color didn't exactly match but it is close enough. Overall, we are very satisfied with the experience.

The overall experience was top-notch. Friendly and responsive staff. Dan explained exactly what his process was going to be (important to know for antique pieces), how much it would cost, and a reasonable timeframe. A good upholstery company can save hundreds or thousands of dollars.

What a wonderful experience and company to work with!! Ben came to my house on 7/3 ( at exactly the time I was told he would show up) to give me an estimate to re-upholster a chaise lounge whose fabric had worn thin and developed a hole. He stated the price for labor and then explained fabric options and pricing. He recommended a durable fabric and then explained what the durability ratings meant. He also offered the option for me to get the fabric somewhere else and have Finish Pros do the work. I chose a fabric from one of their sample books. He took the chaise and said that it would be ready in 2-3 weeks. Well, exactly 2 weeks later, I received a call that it was finished. Ben and another gentleman brought it out (again right at the time I was told they would deliver it.) The chaise looks absolutely fantastic! The quality and workmanship are beyond words. I am SO pleased with how it turned out and for choosing Finish Pros!!

The bureau was damaged on the top. He was very professional when came in and assured me that he was able to fix the blemish. He took the piece and I gave them a deposit. When they returned it, the bureau was a different color as well as texture. I contacted the company on 5/25 to discuss the matter, but I still have not heard back from them.

Ben came on time. Very professional. Did the above noted work at the shop-great experience, would definitely use them again.

FinishPros was very responsive and professional throughout the whole experience. They listened to what I wanted during the consultation instead of trying to sell me what they wanted. I would highly recommend them.
