Mike showed up right on time and did an outstanding job from start to finish going above and beyond what I would expect. I would use them again in a any time!

Whole crew did a great job. They repainted the ceiling and patched a hole in the drywall. They were careful and covered the floor and anything else paint might get on. Seth did a great job repairing the drywall. Came back multiple times to make sure it was done right, you can't tell where the damage was. All of the guys seemed to care about doing good work, not just fast work. Would hire them again.

It turned out very well. They have been out 3 or 4 times now. They charged more than the big deal cost because I had them do some additional work. The pricing was very good. They were very punctual, they did a very good job on the painting itself, and they also did a wonderful job of cleaning up afterwards.

Tried to contact the vendor for a week and received no response. When I finally reached someone at the office, after several attempts and several days, I was told they have been having issues with their Angieslist system (Apparently " THE" System included voicemails, emails and contact from Angie's List). Needless to say I was told they couldn't perform the service I paid for on the original requested day and they were booked out two more weeks. That left me with one day to find a painter since our house was going on the market in two days at that point. This of course cost me a fortune because I had to take what I could get with such short notice. I Definitely feel that Express Yourself Paint should have found a way to complete the work since it was there negligence by not responding to any type of correspondence for a week. Do not sell a service if you cannot perform it!

EYP did a great job. They worked around our General Contractor being delayed (and even overlapped with trim installation), locked in our price early and completed the painting on schedule. Jason and Brit were very easy to work with and took care of any concerns we had during the process. The house looks completely different as a result of their efforts!

The painters were polite and careful to cover everything with plastic or drop cloths. They did an excellent job of finishing out the sanding and painting of a kitchen remodel. They also re-caulked crown moldings and painted ceilings and walls and filled in nail holes. The work was professionally done and a final walkthrough was conducted to be sure we were satisfied and to touch up or redo anything that we found less than satisfactory. I would definitely use this company again. We really appreciated Bobby’s attention to detail and Brit did an excellent job of estimating.

The sales rep came out quickly and provided us a quote which was very competitive. We selected them, primarily based upon reviews on Angie's List and Google. What we discovered, however, is they offer discounts in exchange for 5-star reviews (including ours on Google). That's questionable. The power washing guys came out and did a good job. They used Sherwin Williams semi-transparent stain and it's of excellent quality. We had some major issues, however, when the job was completed. There was a large amount of over-spray which settled and dried on our siding, with clear lines showing where the protective sheeting had been placed and where it stopped. We contacted the company and I eventually got a call from the sales rep asking for some pictures. I sent them and then their painter came out to try to clean the siding. That only made things worse. I reached out several times to the company but never heard back. Their painter, however, who's also an independent contractor, was a man of integrity and takes pride in his work. He color matched some paint and came out a week later to paint the affected boards. While it isn't perfect, it's much better than it was. He was also incredibly polite and took full responsibility for his work. The same cannot be said of the company. I never received an apology, they never sent an employee to come see it, never a thank you and really no communication aside from the one phone call weeks ago and some electronic invoices. I even sent an email to their president but have not yet heard back. At the end of the day, it is an adequate job at a decent price. They really could do a Much better job with customer service however. Buyers beware when a company offers discounts in exchange for artificial reviews. This was not a 5-Star experience or job.

Normally my spouse and I do all of the paint projects at the house, but due to a crazy schedule and limited time we decided to try Express Yourself Paint. We were very happy with the result. John did an excellent job estimating, Jason did a great job following up, and Alex, Frank, and George were hardworking and wonderful painters. The painting crew was very thorough during the whole process and quickly addressed any touch ups that needed to be made. I will certainly use them again.

Everything went great. The crew showed up on time, got right to work and were done in no time. They were careful to clean up behind themselves and left the room looking great. The ceiling looks wonderful!

It went excellently. We loved our crew. They were a tremendous help and nothing was too much for them. They were positive, friendly and professional. We would definetly recommend the crew led by Dougloass. Ask for them.

They did such a good job that I'm having them come back and do more work. First, working with Brit was great! He answered emails, calls, texts -everything. He's also just a generally pleasant person to work with. I felt that if I had any problems with the painting he would be responsive. However, I haven't had any problem with the painting! LOL! Second, they got the job done on time. I was moving into my place on a tight schedule and needed them to paint before I got there. He said they'd have it done in time and they did. Third, I had multiple painters there at once to give me an estimate. It was my error, not realizing how much time it would take to have them look the place over. One painter was clearly not happy about this. Brit on the other hand, took it like a professional. He picked up his pace so as not to be in the other painter's way. He also emailed the estimate to me, rather than hand it to me right then, because the other painter was so upset about having another painter there. His consideration of the fact that I had made the mistake was gracious. Finally, the price was key. EYP's quote was lower than or about the same as other painters. I think that's because Brit's a no-nonsense guy who doesn't want to play the "let's negotiate" game. I will be using them again in the future and referring them to anyone in need of a painter.

It all went very smoothly, aside from being difficult to get a hold of the sales person occasionally, but he always got back to us in a timely manner.

This company is excellent. They sent Bobby Jordon to do the work. He was professional and did an excellent job. He also spoke very highly of the company and the way the company treated its employees. I don't think you can get much higher praise than that. I am buying a new house and will definitely use this company again.

The project was to paint the interior of my house. Scheduling the work was easy and the quality of the work was excellent. However, the rest of the experience was a mixed bag. The painting consultant provided me with a verbal estimate which I accepted (by paying a 10% deposit) and we scheduled a date for the work. I was unaware that the vendor subsequently emailed a contract to me because he got my email address wrong. Since I had successfully received earlier emails from him this was clearly his error. As a result, I didn?t know that one room had been mistakenly omitted from the contract. After the painters had left I saw that this one room had not been painted. The vendor was great about returning the next day and finishing the job, but an additional amount that I wasn?t anticipating was then added to the bill. Another consequence of my not receiving the contract was that it also indicated the vendor?s policy of adding a surcharge of 3% for credit card payments. This information had not been included on the vendor?s Angie?s List page. Rather the vendor?s Angie?s List page indicates acceptance of credit card payments with no stipulations. In my case, since I had never received the contract, the vendor agreed to waive the 3% surcharge. Nonetheless, I feel strongly that this policy should be clearly indicated on their Angie?s List page and not withhold until the customer has already agreed to the work, paid a deposit and is sent a contract containing this important information. I find this ?bait and switch? approach to be a deceptive practice. It is my own policy to not choose vendors who either don?t accept credit cards or who impose surcharges on such transactions. So for me the option of paying by credit card is a critical component of my selection process. In summary my experience was a mixed bag. I was very pleased with the quality of the work and impressed with the overall efforts of the vendor to address various errors that were made. I found them easy to work with ? for example they acted appropriately in waiving the 3% surcharge and I do appreciate that. If they did not have the 3% surcharge on credit card payments I would use them again and feel they should be more up front about this policy.

Well done painting work; great workmen. Professional and friendly, timely. They worked consistently and cleaned-up. We would use again and plan to for exterior work in early spring.

Even with the delays caused by the snowfall, Doug and his crew came through with a professional job within our tight time constraints. Starting with Brit who gave us our estimate, through Jason who managed the schedule, the job was well done. Everyone was very friendly and responsive. Cleanup for this type of a job can be extensive, but the house was left much cleaner than expected, requiring only a thorough dusting and wipe-down using a damp cloth/mop. I am very happy with the results and will be using Express Yourself Paint for our next job.

Great Painters, From beginning to end. They were incredibly easy to work with and schedule, responsive, and used email (a huge plus. I know it sounds silly, but a lot of contractors/painters aren't fully digital yet. It's incredibly annoying when all you want is a quick answer that doesn't need a phone call, especially since I work 3rd shift, and contact during the day can be a bit difficult.) The former owner of the home was a smoker, so they went through all of our options for removing smoke smell and stains. Incredibly thorough. Their rates are competitive, and they do a great job. Highly recommended.

Not punctual. Moved and didn't replace furniture. Paint work was excellent. They were respectful. Nothing was left behind and everything was cleaned up.

The deal was, "Ready-to-sell" whole-house interior painting, which I bought through Angie's List for $1,687.50. When the estimator came to the house, I decided to eliminate the two upstairs bedrooms (they had recently been painted), as well as the small guest bathroom, the master bathroom and the kitchen and dining room ceilings. Since I wanted the same colors in all rooms involved, the paint was upgraded to "Cashmere", a one-coat paint that covered nicely but saved on paint and labor because no second coat had to be applied. For that, I received a $221.46 "thank you" credit. The original cost of $1,687.50 was conveniently distributed over the rooms that the estimator and I determined needed to be painted. When I later changed my mind on some of the details, I incurred an additional cost of $659.50, bringing the total cost to $2,347.00. I gave John M. a call and told him that I think the price increase is unfair because the whole-house deal should have been covered every room in the house. He claims that there is nothing he can do... I would caution anyone who is considering this deal to have the whole house done and not try to save money by eliminating (and later on changing) any surfaces. The paint job is great! The painters were prompt, courteous, neat (well organized - every painter knew exactly what his duty was, and they would put tools, ladders, etc., back on their truck when no longer needed), and cooperative.
