Express Yourself Paint

EYP's quote came in less than half of the other two quotes we received. I kept thinking "you get what you pay for" as we were deciding on which vendor. However, Jason Lazurus contacted me by phone to assure me of the quality and why EYP was able to quote less due to not having a warehouse to transport cabinets back and forth. We are very satisfied with our decision and how much money we saved! Working with John, Jason and the paint team (Darwin & Reese) was a pleasure. We will be in contact again with any future painting needs. Thank you for providing quality services and meeting end-result expectations.

The process was seamless. The people were thoughtful, knowledgeable, flexible and held our hands every step of the way. The pricing was right on time and the outcome was a breath of fresh air. The outside of our home looks new and delivers a sense of pride that we had been missing. We have worked with so many contractors in the building industry over the years and have never had this type of quality service. Most contractors are hard to reach, over-promise and under deliver, lack business/accounting acumen and more. Express Your Paint is the exact opposite. They over deliver. We highly recommend them.

I couldn't have been happier with our choice to hire Express Yourself Paint to repaint almost the entire interior of our house. The estimate process went very smoothly and they followed up regularly without being overbearing. We had to postpone our project by several months due to unforeseen expenses and they were understanding and picked up right where we left off when we were ready to proceed. The painters (a team of two) were scheduled for an entire week as it was a large job. They arrived first thing in the morning and put in a solid 11 hours of work each day. It took them all of three days to finish the job. (For reference, our house is approximately 2,500 sq ft and there were only a few rooms they didn't paint.) The result is truly outstanding and we're in disbelief that they were able to get it done so quickly without any loss in quality. They were both friendly and professional and did a great job cleaning up after themselves each day and at the end of the project. I would recommend EYP to anyone! I was very pleased with this company. I was given an up front estimate and everything was scheduled quickly. The painters were extremely professional and always made sure I was satisfied with their work. The large job only took two days. I would recommend this paint company to anyone that needs interior or exterior work done.

It was great working with Express Yourself Paints. They gave me a quote and got the job done in much faster of a timeline. Immediately agreed to a refund for the time that was charged and saved. Amazing company, amazing employees, would not ever use anyone else!

The company was easy to work with. The estimator wasn’t as knowledgeable as he could have been, but was always available for questions.. The painter was good but said he didn’t get the pictures of specific places that needed caulking as we did and therefore didn’t complete them until we pointed it out. We put nail holes above our door and on railing from Christmas decorations and thought he would have filled them in before painting but didn’t, just painted over them, the bare wooden railing wasn’t primed as we requested before painting it, I noticed that the old bare spots were showing through and questioned wether he sanded before priming and he said he did, I didn’t like it, so he reprimed the whole rail and repainted it, I still don’t know if he actually sanded first. We will see how it holds up.

Definitely avoid this company! They started demanding payment before work was finished and never finished the work once they were paid. There were paint spots left on hardwoods that I was told would not have any paint on them during the process. They did not seem to be in touch with their workers- it appeared that workers made copies of my house keys without telling me or Express yourself staff. They appear to sub out the work because they did not know that people who were supposed to be working for them were still in the house painting when they started demanding payment.

Very well. They arrived as scheduled. Josh was very personable, explained what was going on, looked at everything to prepare the crew. The crew members worked diligently, prepped all the areas. I had furniture in the rooms and they were careful to cover everything. They were done early and since there was a large crew they were done in one day even though we thought that it would be a two day job. I would highly recommend these painters. All went well from the beginning/quote to the end of the job.

Juan and his crew arrived on-time, and did an outstanding job. The room looks great! Very nice painters. Carefully masked all windows, and cleaned up when they were done. Would hire again.

Their work was not great. We were not home when they came and their "checkout" was asking my 14-year-old if it looked OK. When I called to tell them they missed some obvious spots I was told they would charge me to come back out.

Wonderful. No paint drips and the painter even went back and sanded, and touched up a few areas that were missed. Furniture, floors, and fixtures were covered to prevent accidents. Even addressed a few issues where drywall tape has bubbled or cracked. Would have them paint in the future.

I couldn't ask for a better experience. They showed up everyday on time and worked very quickly while doing an excellent job. I thought the job might take 5 days but it took 3.5. They went back and touched up some areas we asked them to with no questions asked. They were very nice and professional.

Seth was the painter assigned to my project, which was removing some wall paper, repairing places in the walls and painting walls and bathroom cabinet. I thought a small bathroom would be a quick, one day simple project. I had no idea the extent and amount of prep work that was vital to the success of the project but Seth was very good at explaining the why's as well as the what's. I found his work to be detailed, thorough and I was very pleased with the prep work and the cleanup as well. I would definitely use Express Yourself Paint and ask for Seth for any future project I have.

This sounds like a simple task, but actually involved about 8 hours of work. The quality of work was excellent and the room was left spotless - no signs of dust or debris.

When Express Yourself Paint (EYP) representative John M. showed up, he took another $50 deposit and promised to provide a written estimate/quote of the total cost of repair. They provided a quote but it did not include the main damage repair of the garage ceiling as promised so when I called EYP recommended hiring someone else to perform these repairs (they said it is not their specialty). EYP work would mainly be the painting of these ceilings. So I hired another company to perform garage ceiling repairs but I still wanted to make use of the $249 deposit which I paid upfront to EYP. I contacted their representative John M who promised to revisit my house and provide a revised estimate on 11/2 then he rescheduled to 11/5 but never showed up. At this point, I decided to get the advance payments I made towards this work and hire someone else to complete the job.
