Express Yourself Paint

John scheduled a painting quote and showed up on time. He was able to fit me into a very busy day for him in the evening after my workday which I greatly appreciated. He was very professional during the quote and was able to very quickly measure my spaces and give me a broken out quote for what I wanted. I asked for a few different options and he was able to price out each room so I could decide what I wanted painted. After I paid 20% of the bill online through their payment system I was contacted with the scheduled paint date. It was 3 weeks out but that is not uncommon. The painters were scheduled on April 21st but I received a call on Saturday the 19th and asked if they could start Tuesday, April 22nd as they needed another day on a previous job. This was fine with us. The painters were supposed to arrive at 8:00am before I left for work but they did not arrive until 9:00am. When I called Jason (the scheduler) he did not immediately pick up but called me back very quickly and explained to me that the painters were picking up the paint for my job but ran into issues when the vendor was not open before 8:00am as expected. The painters arrived and quickly got to work patching walls and prepping surfaces. I left for work with a lock box on the door for them to use. When I arrived home the same day the paint job was finished and looked great. Unfortunately there was small specks of paint splatter all over my entire downstairs hardwoods as well as a few minor drips, mostly right under the walls (not tracked through the house too badly other than a few spots here and there). As expected, dust covered every inch of the house where they prepped the walls as that compound is very dusty when sanded. There were also small splatters on my hardware and counter tops. One of my utility face plates was painted over but I was told this was something they usually do as it is usually requested by home owners. I preferred the plain face plate so I can access the screws easily if it needs removed. The great thing about latex based paint was that it comes up pretty easily. I emailed John and he sent Rob over to fix some of the issues. Rob was helpful and replaced the painted face plate with a new white one and painted over some of the drips. He even painted a problem spot we had on a door that was unrelated since he had the paint out. Unfortunately when it came to the floors he tried but missed more than half of the splatters. I had to walk around my house and point out each and every area if I wanted it addressed. This took longer than me cleaning it myself and eventually I gave up and resigned myself to cleaning it up after he left to reclaim some of my Saturday. He would have stayed if I had continued to point out each and every area. Overall this company was super easy to work with and did a great job on the paint. I would be very clear with the painters when they arrive that they are to use drop cloths all the way to the edge of the floor. The paint splatter, while not too difficult to clean, was an issue for me. They are happy to have someone come out and fix any issues, but that is added time out of your day. Overall for the price I would hire them again, but I would probably drop in to supervise the job more closely to make sure my floor is being protected.

These guys were great from the beginning quote until they were finished. They called me with any questions, addressed all my concerns, were very clean, proficient, and a joy. I plan to hire them again for the exterior of my home.

Express Yourself Paint hired outside contractors to do my service, so I felt like my business was not very important to them, and the workers who came were a little late, but overall I was pleased with the work done. The price was higher than I thought, but the workers who came were pretty meticulous when doing their job, so overall it was good as I am hard to please. Therefore I would use their service again.

They did a great job. They showed up when they were supposed to, and were very professional and friendly. Work was done to our asking and satisfaction. We will use them again for our painting needs. We also felt the pricing was very competitive.

I contacted EYP through Angie's and the next day, John called back to schedule the estimation visit on 3/7. Initially, I was looking for someone to just paint the newly installed crown mold and if absolutely needed paint the walls. John was very helpful and made an offer that we could not refuse. The quote was for Sherwin Williams SuperPaint with 2 different color and 3 accent color in one of the rooms. Jason from EYP's operations scheduled the time/date for the painting 3/20. The crew came on-time and completed the work the same day. The rooms look great with the paint. We later found out that EYP had used Sherwin Williams ProMar200 (one used by builders and contractors) and contacted them. David (EYP's owner) refunded back twice the difference in the cost. I highly recommend EYP for their professionalism and exceptional customer service. Thanks to John, Jason and David.

They very efficiently prepared all the areas to be painted and finished when they said they would be and all was cleaned up beautifully. I already plan to bring them back to do additional work.

Express Yourself Paint said they will paint the whole house. The guys came by and I think they did work as they could have, but they did not take off the covers in my bedroom and I didn't know until some are tan and some are white so I want to replace the tan with white and I pulled it off and it stuck to the paint and it was the shape of the cover, and, I had to have them fix that. And, then they did a really bad job. So, the owner came out and fix the places where they have put the dry wall because it was really bad. He fix all that himself. But, it took a long time, I think it took a couple of weeks for them to come and fix and redo things. And, they never did paint under the side of my cabinet. They are supposed to do that. And, they are supposed to re-touch up.

There were no issues and I was very satisfied with the work completed.

Dave met with us regarding his company Express Yourself Paint doing our remodeling project and his presentation, confidence, personal attention, was outstanding. With his guidance we felt that who ever he sent to our home would do the best job possible. His team of painters obviously were experienced, dedicated to their art, extremely courteous, and extremely helpful throughout the days they were here. Each day they would also tidy up areas, so that we could remain in our home. Covering walls, furniture was done, to help protect items from as much dust and paint as possible. Jason the project manager was in communication with the workman each day regarding their progress and also communicated with us if we had any questions or concerns. His team consisting of Brandon, Chris, John and Tim deserve recognition, for their individual work ethic and also recognition for their marvelous team work. Now our home has an updated look and freshly painted walls that reflect perfection by each stroke of the paint brush that only Express Yourself Paint can do. They had a team of five painters who completed the work in one a week. The quality of the work blew us away, our house looks brand new! They were neat as a pin.

They came out and interior painted a few rooms in our house. They were on time, very efficient and very friendly. They did an outstanding job quality wise. I would highly recommend them. They were perfect.

I met with the painter prior to beginning. They were requested to paint two bedrooms, trim no ceiling but closet and built in cabinets . If they were tight on time to stay extra and finish as completing to job was critical . At the end of the day the closet was not painted on the shelves with original pine wood not even touched. There was sheetrock that was not painted left bare with screw holes no prep. We discussed paint type prior . I found the paint peeled of the wood cabinets showing the prior color They said afterword that prepwork was not planned Their answer was that they ran out of time . When contacted he argued and even blammed me and refused to return to finish or to solve the peeling paint. I can not even get them to return my calls. Now I have to find another painter to finish his substandard job. Never use these people

They were excellent. They were kind and they came when they said. They were professional. We did not have to supervise them and I wish that they did everything. I would only use them.

Excellent communications. Accommodated our needs to have work done just before Christmas. Superior workmanship.

I think they overbooked because we got rescheduled a few times and only sent one guy out. But the work was done well and they even let me change colors.

The team (two) arrived promptly, worked quickly, and did a good job. They got a lot done in the time allotted. They were very careful to protect exposed furniture, etc., and cleaned up well after their work

Did a good job overrall. Had some paint dripped onto the hardwood floors and left. A few spots maybe not so neat, but mostly did a good job. Had we seen the couple of places, I'm sure he would have fixed it for us. We would have used him again, as his prices were reasonable.

Painted 2 rooms, 1 large and 1 average size, and a large closet, including trim. Nice job, friendly service, done in time alloted.

Response time was great. I needed some painting done asap to put a house on the market and someone came and gave an estimate the same day I called, and scheduled for the following week. On the scheduled day the guys arrived on time and were courteous and professional. They got right to work, worked hard, took a normal lunch break and came right back and worked until they were done in the afternoon. The only complaint I have aside from a few minor runs on the front door trim is that they did not cover things as good as they could have even though they cleaned all their trash and did some sweep up/wipe up some, we had to mop, then get on hands and knees and clean a lot of paint spatter and smears off the floors. This was the only painting done since the floors were refinished so it was definitely from them. But overall they did a good job and I would use them again.
