Express Yourself Paint

Super. Can't say enough good things about their work, professionalism and responsiveness.

Based on the experience we had in meeting with the company (John), I'm confident that if we were to have moved forward with the painting project, they would have been outstanding. John was very punctual in meeting with me, gave a very fair price and stayed in touch. I met with John because the company came up very strong on Angies List and I can see why.

let me start off by saying we had no idea about subcontracting until we worked with this company. the guy who came out and gave us the estimate was very nice after talking for a while he ended up staying at our home for an extra hour and got pretty pushy about relion. started trying to get us to go to his church. no biggie were laid back and he meant no harm and they had good prices. so the guys who show up on the first day of work showed up in a van with a different name on it. so at that moment we figured out the job had been subcontracted out. which they didnt tell us. this was supposed to be a 4 day job max. the first day they spent prepping which was normal for painting. the next day they were supposed to be there at 9 we get a call at 11 saying they would be late duh! when they finally showed up they got started and only used the spray gun to pain they got the wall paint all over the ceilings it was a mess but they assured us that it would be cleaned off. we called the actual company and told them what had been going on and they also assured us on day 3 they would be done and it would look great. day 3 they came and finished and they left for the day and when i arrived home i couldnt believe how they thought the job was done. i called the main company to tell them about the paint on the ceilings drips all ver our hardwood floors. they did my kitchen cabinets with a spray gun and didnt cover anything so my entire kitchen was covered in paint dust. his solution was to send the guys out to fix it the next day. they show up they all had attitudes the main guy comes up to me and say if you had a problem with me than you should have said it. he was very agressive. they go to start the job and we start to hear them saying how they should lock us in the attic and how we were b******. so we again call the main comany to avoid any unnecessary confrontation they make them leave and for the first time he does a walkthrough and agrees they did an awful job. so the next day he gets the people we actually hired to start the job. the guys were very professional and they did a great job took there time and helped us make paint deciosions. i wish all that other stuff hadnt happened because the company express yourself paint was good just be careful if you see a yellow van pull up in front of your home.

It went really well. Roberto was very courteous and he did good work. He had a radio on while he worked but it was quiet and I wouldn't have even known he was there except for his occasional move from room to room. He was also very good about cleaning up after himself. He used tarps to protect the floors and then swept up the small amount of dust/dirt that was left when he removed the tarps. All in all, very good service.

I was very impressed with the quality of work performed and price. The painters were very clean and efficient and completed the job 2 hours earlier than time frame quoted to me. Everyone was very professional, polite and punctual. I will definitely recommend them to my fellow friends and use them again for any future painting jobs.

Our painters, Chris and Tim were outstanding. They were punctual, very neat and got the job done within the time frame quoted. Originally, I was only having the downstairs painted. These guys were professional and did such an awesome job, we called them back the following month to do the upstairs.

The rep was on time, courteous, communicated well, and had a great suggestion for paint color (which I took!). The crew accidentally painted the master bedroom the wrong color (they misread my email) but they came back immediately and fixed it at no charge. They were also happy to do a touch up in the bathroom to make the lines near the ceiling really straight. Their price was very competitive, although I should note that we did the prep work (e.g., sanding, removing electrical outlet covers) before they arrived. In summary, I would definitely do busines with them again.

Excellent. I dealt with both David who is the owner and also John who is the sales rep. Both were really great to deal with. A friend of mine had recommended EYP after he said he had used several painters in the past and after having Express Yourself he would never use another painting company other than them again. He had used them for his last 3 houses. I had already found out about them as I was also an Angies List user and they had come up very highly recommend as a A rated Painting company and a super service award winner, I was remodeling the whole of my house and was project managing everything myself and effectively being the general contractor. I use Angies List extensively for all my contractors and I only use A rated people. However with having so many projects to do at one time on the house I still needed to be as price driven as possible - without so promising on excellence of the work done. I usually get several estimates in for any project and for the painting I actually had 9 Estimates in. Express yourself had the best price and also the best reviews too! One other great rated company wanted to match the price but I stuck with EYP arms they hang me their best price from the get go - and I found them to be the most trustworthy when dealing with them. But both of the best priced quotes actually came from the best rated painting contractors on Angies List. Jason was the supervisor for all the work and he was excellent to deal with. Very efficient and responsive. The whole crew were very hard working and easy to communicate with and were all great! Can't recommend them highly enough, I will defiantly use them for the inside of the house and also the exterior.

Michael was prompt in his response and prompt with his work each day. He is professional and very friendly. We were pleased to work with and have him in our home. Michael's painting skills are top-notch. Beautiful!! Very neat. We changed our mind on painting one area and had a few minor touch-ups which he completed without complaint. If we have other painting needs, he'll be the first person we call.

They called in advance and stated what time they would arrive. They moved furniture, repaired walls, and matched the paint perfectly. They were neat, taped everything covered furniture, carpet and floors. They were professional and it was a pleasure doing business with Douglas and Josie, the painters. If you need painting done right and at the right price I suggest you call Express Yourself.

It went OK. At the start I was very pleased with the quoting process and the fact the company was able to squeeze in my job because of a cancellation they had. I thought the price was fair as I had already obtained 2 other quotes from different companies. There were definitely a few issues that needed to be addressed after the first crew came out and completed the job, but they were able to send someone back out and after two trips those issues were resolved. The craftsmanship varied throughout the different rooms, but overall they provided the service they were contracted for and honored their promise to fix the issues that were identified.

I've used Express Yourself Paint a few times on two different houses. Dave is super friendly and easy & fair to work with. The prices were very affordable and within our budget. The painters on all projects showed up on time, we're very professional, prepared the area to protect the surroundings and furnishings, finished the work within the estimated time frame and cleaned up very nicely. The results were completely satisfying, especially considering 19' to 20' high ceilings and LOTS of windows! The 20' high seam tape replacement job was perfection! I'll definitely be using their services again and highly recommend them!

I was a little disappointed that I was not able to get service from this provider.

We just had two rooms painted by Express Yourself Paint this week, and they look fantastic! Both rooms were having popcorn ceilings removed and walls and trim painted. The pricing was good, the work was completed on time (I actually asked them if they could move the day up and they did!), and communication was great at every step. Every employee, from the estimator to the scheduler to the painters who did the work, was very friendly and great to work with. And the end results look so great! We are planning to have more rooms painted and popcorn ceilings removed at some point, and I will definitely be calling this company again.

My husband and I are extremely pleased with the painting. Painters were always punctual and professional. They did an exceptional job painting with all my requested colors. We've had nothing but compliments on their work. Painters cleaned up everyday and kept us informed. They worked efficiently applied 2 coats of paint and trim and even finished the job early.

They were very professional when on site and finished in a very timely manner with good quality. They worked with us on the price as well and that was very appreciated. The only issues was with punctuality. They were an hour late to the scheduled time for the estimate, and they day of starting the work they were multiple hours late due to some issues. Overall, they did a good job at a good price and I would use them again.

Need to call the Express people to discuss about quality of paint.

An extraordinarily satisfactory experience from start to finish! John, the estimator, was extremely personable, helpful, and efficient. He gave us a good price (significantly lower than other estimates we received) and arranged a schedule to accommodate our need to have the work completed during a rather tight time frame before we moved in. Jason, who coordinated the project, was always available when we needed him and happy to deal with any problems that arose. David, who led the crew that did painting, was always pleasant and committed to doing excellent work. They didn't miss a spot! We couldn't be happier with the entire experience.

They have been here several times. They were professional and they did a pretty good paint job. I don't think we picked the right time of the year to do it. He was supposed to do a follow-up and see if the side that was getting beat by the sun needed to be redone and we never got together to do it. It was a little on the expensive side. That's why I wouldn't use them again. It turned out fine.

I contacted the company via Angies list and was contacted back in a very short amount of time. I was able to schedule an estimate within the same week and book the service within a week and a half. Everyone was professional and courteous and the painters did a good job. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Express Yourself Paint.

John, the estimator, was a really nice guy and very helpful. he worked with us to provide itemized estimate so we could minimize the cost of the job. We did some of the wall ourselves to cut the total cost. We were able to buy the paint at hte contractor price. Douglas and his crew were very nice. They showed up exactly when they said they would and they worked very hard. Overall, we are very satisfied with the work the painters did. They did not cover everything as they had said they would. LOTS of clean up after. Also, painting done the last day (day 4) was a little sloppy. Had to ask they to come back to fix some trouble spots. They came back within two days and did a great job fixing few problem area Biggest complaint is clean up. We have had to clean up numerous drips on floors and counters. Also, dust everywhere. A;lso, they did not replace swithplates/outlet plates as stated in the estimate. We had boxes of new ones but they didn't put them on. Again, I believe this is because of some rushing to finish on the last day.

John came out and measured the areas to be painted. He provided me a quote for the repair of the living room ceiling and to have the living room, front foyer, upstairs hallway, and kitchen ceilings painting. Jason contacted me and set up an appointment for Thursday to repair and paint my ceilings. He told me it would be about 1 to 1 1/2 days to finish. His crew came out on Thurs about 8:30 am and started getting everything ready. I showed them what needed repaired and what needed painted. The crew was very friendly and professional. They put up plastic and tarps on all the walls and floors and started to work. I came back about 4 hours later and the crew was gone and they had cleaned up. I looked at the living room ceiling and repair area and noticed the ceiling was streaked and some spots were lighter than others. Only a small portion of the repair area was fixed. I spoke to Jason on Sunday evening, he came by the house and showed him what I wanted them to correct. He said his crew would be back on on Thursday showed up and fixed more of the repair area. They were supposed to take the old tape off the ceiling, remud, tape, mud, put popcorn paint on and repaint the ceiling and areas that were missed. His crew showed up on Thurs started the repair and left to let it dry. They said they would be back Friday morning to complete the repair and painting. Te crew showed up at 8:15 am on Fridayand put plastic and tarp on all walls in the living room and tarp on the floors. Jason arrived shortly after his crew. I explained what I wanted to have done and he and his crew corrected everything. They cleaned up and even vacuumed the floors. Even though the crew had to come out 3 times Jason was very responsive, friendly and customer service oriented. Jason went out of his way to make sure I was satisified with the quality of work.
