Description of Work: "The cleaning itself was not impressive but not terrible....On the other hand, the customer service from Dust & Mop is atrocious! | |We scheduled the 'top to bottom' cleaning which in my opinion was not a true 'top to bottom.' 1 cleaner arrived at noon & the 2nd at 2pm (although we were told both would be there from 12-4) Looks like a common occurrence based on the other reviews. Dust & Mop prides themselves on English speaking staff, but I could really care less because a clean home looks the same in all languages. | |After the cleaning, our lamps had dust/cobwebs on the shade and my fiancee had to remind the cleaner on her way out to touch our ceiling fan in the living room. I expected the few dishes we had in the sink to be washed & corners of stairs to be vacuumed but neither were done. No biggie there, just a learning lesson that we probably wouldn't have used the service again, and if we did we would've known what to remind the cleaners to clean. | |We could have looked past these small details, but our biggest & still unresolved issue was a broken recliner chair had an arm broken after our cleaning. When I contacted the company, they asked for pictures which I sent, as well as a video. The manager called and explained that they fully trust their employees & the cleaner insisted she hadn't moved or broken the chair. I asked to speak to the owner. She quickly returned my call but was extremely defensive and insisted that her employees are fired if they lie, but never if they tell the truth about breaking an item. I respect that policy & would never want to cause someone to lose a job, but the minute the owner continued the conversation, I lost all respect. The owner of the company told me: that my furniture is cheap (keep in mind, she's never stepped foot in my house, the furniture set is less than 6 months old, leather & was well over a couple thousand dollars) that my fiancee broke the chair (yes, he's an ex NFL player but it's 'his' chair and our budget would allow for him to replace a chair HE broke) it would've broken anyway in everyday use, etc etc.....I'm in new home sales & work with customers on a daily basis, I would be disappointed in myself if I was to throw unfounded allegations out about my customers. | |In summary, please be very wary when booking a service with Dust & Mop. I have since found 2 great companies where the cleaners speak the language, 'clean,' AND the owners are actually polite and work to keep customers happy!"
