Showed up on time and took care of the problem. I felt that he went above and beyond what he needed to do. Also cleaned out the lint from the dryer itself. I would recommend him. They charge $49.00 for the initial inspection to see the extent of the problem, plus the cost of the job.

My husband was the VP of the Homeowners Association at the time. We didn't use them because it was too much money. We had priced out different places at the time. They wanted a lot of money. The company we went with charged us about $50 per town home and I think they wanted double that. When they are offered that many homes to do, they should offer a better price. They called us right back. I'd say an A for professionalism, as far as speaking on the phone with them.

Dryer vent had to be rerouted and was done in sufficient time. Tech was very personable and detailed about what had to be done. I am please with everything so far!

The work was excellent. The technician was on time. He did a thorough review of the problem, he wrote up an estimate. I agreed to the estimate. He went into the crawl space and did a thorough review of the dryer vent, informed me the vent cover was not closing, checked the dryer. Because of the split in the plastic dryer vent, the air from the dryer was going into the crawl space, leaving lint in the crawl space. I told him I previously had mice in the crawl space, he installed a 'mouse-proof' vent cover. He did the installation and removed the old plastic dryer vent. He did an anemometer reading and a vent termination temperature reading. it took about an hour and a half to complete the work.

They came right away. He was fantastic and absolutely magnificent. I had another person cleaned my vent and he did a lousy job and it cost me four dryers. I had to purchase four dryers because the dryer was not the problem, it was the vent that he never cleaned properly. So this guy from Dryer Vent Wizard came in and did it from the outside. He had a something that look like a lawn blower and had brushes that would rotate and he did all the way from the end of the house to the dryer and cleaned out everything. Now when I go out there, I have no line whatsoever because he cleaned it well and fantastically. There is so much air that is coming through the vent now and it?s going through the lint trap as it should be. If anyone wants a fantastic job, he is absolutely magnificent. What he did was, he came in and looked at everything that needed to be done. Then he gave me the estimate and total price and asked if I want him to get started. He was so professional and didn?t waste time even though it was raining that day. He?s got work clothes and boots so he didn?t had my floors dirty. He did such a professional job. I can?t say enough about him. My clothes are done in 60 minutes after he cleaned the dryer.

Jim charged a fair price for the amount of work he did and the amount of dryer and vent parts he had to purchase/fabricate. He was thoroughly professional and had a positive upbeat attitude at all times. These were tough jobs but he got the job done. I can not imagine how his service could have been any better.

Smell in clothes dryer. I had allergic symptoms for 2 months and blamed a newly adopted cat. Found new home for cat, deep cleaned the house, then left town for a few days. Five days after returning, on a Sunday evening, I opened the laundry closet door, and released severe dead animal smell that triggered instant allergic symptoms. I have transplanted corneas in both eyes, so this was a serious problem. Monday morning I searched Angie's list for help. I found appliance repairmen, who could come 3 days later but "didn't do vents." They referred me to Dryer Vent Wizzard (Jim Buie), who scheduled me at the end of his workday same day, because he thought IT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO". He worked two hours to find the problem, then installed a new vent, reassembled everything, and problem solved with me about how to get the smell out of my dryer. He called the next day to see if I got the smell out. My only other alternative was a new dryer (several days later). I consider this a "random good deed" on his part, something very hard to find today.

I purchased a new HE dryer and I needed to upgrade my dryer vent system. My old venting system was 24 years old and ran under the house (crawl space) - one end to the other. After reading Jim's outstanding reviews I wanted him to do the work but was hesitant to call at first because he lived so far away. Much to my delight he came and the rest is history. Jim was very much the professional - he event tried to find a shorter route for the system - thus saving me money. Although this didn't work I was appreciative that he tried. What truly impressed me was how he "cleaned" up my laundry room before he left. After several years "stuff" was behind the old washer and dryer which I was not fully able to clean before the delivery men brought in my new appliances. Jim did not have to do this but I am soooo glad he did....thank you.

We bought a 1983 townhouse that had been vacant for 3 years. Sort of a fixer upper. The washer and dryer were stationed in the middle of the house and we are on a slab. Therefore the vent went up through the wall to the attic and out from there. I had a hard time figuring it out and decided I needed a professional. So I checked the internet for some help, and low and behold the Dryer Vent Wizard appeared. I called scheduled an appointment for 2 days later 1PM. Jim showed up 5 til 1 checked the situation , gave me a quote, and made the changes. He tore out the old vent, which was a definite fire hazard, and replaced it with up to date coded materials. He ran almost 30 feet of pipe plus added new vents both inside and out. He said it would be a 4 hour job and he was pretty close. So for $700 I had a professional upgrade our dryer venting system, and peace of mind about the potential fire hazard. I would definitely recommend the DryerVent Wizard. Thanks Jim

It took Jim about 3 hours to perform all of the work. He repleced the duct from the dryer to the wall (the one I had was ridiculously long and forecd my dryer to extend from the wall by about a foot) and replaced the duct from the attic to the roof. He was extremely professional and competent. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone that is having problems with their dryer duct/vent system.

The project went very smoothly. Jim Buie had been out earlier in the month to assess the task and give me a quote - his estimate was in- line with another quote I had secured but I decided to go with Jim in part because he was such a pleasure to "work" with. His was expert and professional in his execution of the job and the pleasant conversation he threw in for free! Very satisfying experience all around.

Dryer fuse blew when the line was clogged. My appliance guy replaced that and referred me to Jim to clean the vent. Arrived during the one hour window, did the estimate and explained everything to me and my husband. Original contractors had taped a joint in the crawl space which had failed so there was lint falling into the crawl space. Replaced that and the connector in the laundry room before cleaning out the actual tubing. Laundry room is convenient to work in but is not on an outside wall so we have a lot of tubing! After the repair he checked air flow (21 mph) and temperature (145 F) at the outside trap door. This was a three hour job plus materials so I'm OK with the price.

When we moved into our house our dryer barely worked. After cleaning out the dryer itself we determined the dryer vent was (almost) completely clogged. The dryer vent is a long one (up a floor and over the garage) and not easy to access. After cleaning out dryer works like a charm! Thanks!
