Right now, the price is great. Their service has been good. I used to use DirecTV back in the 90s and I very rarely had any problem with the signal. I do not know if it is the effect of HD, but my signal has not been as good as back in the 90s.

Description of Work: The installer arrived about 5 hours later than scheduled. After connecting the services the cable box outside was left open on the ground with wires left on the ground. The first connection had the incorrect modem so a second visit was necessary to replace the modem and take care of the loose wires and open box.

The main draw to them at the moment is the NFL ticket where I can subscribe and get all of the NFL games. When I signed up for their service they gave it to me for one year for free. It is a little bit of a hook. They also gave me a discount when I signed up so I get lower prices for the first year, slightly lower pricing for the second year and then it ramps up to the regular pricing at the end of the third year. I have not lost service very often, but it does happen. They came out and installed it, but that was a one time thing.

They had terrible customer service so I dropped them. I paid too much. Their price kept going up and their customer service kept going down. The quality was okay.

When we had it installed, they told us that it would be free standard installation. They ended up charging us $50 for installation, because we wanted the dish on a pole in the backyard that was already in place. They wanted to put it on the roof of the house. It's kind of a scam that they get us with the installation. The prices were good for about the first year. Then the price gets so high that we can barely afford it. We are trying to find a different place to switch over our TV without having to pay for all the re-setup and the reinstallation of the dish. The contract is over now; we could quit if we wanted to. With regard to responsiveness, when I called them, they basically told me to do whatever I want.
