DA Ice Inc Remodeling and Fine Carpentry

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I needed to have two ceilings repaired that had water damage and a bedroom wall that had been cut open by a plumber to access water pipes. I had a chance to get an interior painter at a great price but the work had to be done within a very short time. Fortunately, I caught Doug Ice between jobs and he came out the next day. He completed all the work in one day. The work was excellent. It was a pure pleasure to watch a master at work. There were no wasted moves as he swiftly completed all the work in a matter of hours. I highly recommend Doug Ice for his expert quality work and reasonable prices.

We had a wall removed between our kitchen and family room. Doug was responsible for patching the drywall between the two rooms and the ceiling. We thought about repairing it ourselves, but we wanted a professional look, and boy did we get what we wanted! A BIG issue with our project was that one room had paneling and one room had drywall, two different wall thicknesses. Doug did a fantastic job in creating a smooth transition. Other contractors pretty much said tough, you will have a piece of molding, or some sort of non-smooth transition, and there was nothing we could do about it. Well, Doug did an amazing job creating a very smooth transition between the walls. Additionally, he patched the ceiling, re-applying popcorn so that it looks seamless. Doug also repaired all of the crown and chair molding. On top of his fantastic work, Doug is extremely nice, timely, and professional. I would definitely hire Doug again for any drywall work. His pricing was a little higher than other estimates (but really not that much), but he was completely up front with this because he took his time (2 1/2 days of work) and was a true artist to make the job look great. Others said it would take one day, which looking back, I can't imagine how good of a job would have been done with just one day of work. He is very busy (probably because he does such great work), so getting a hold of him can be a little tricky, but nothing to really complain about. We were able to schedule all of the work in a timely manner.

It was very easy to set up an appt. with Doug. I called a week ahead of time - when I knew the plumbers would be finished with their work. Doug was able to work me into his schedule and was prompt, courteous, professional and friendly. He really does QUALITY work! He spent about 4 hours working in my house... and they ceilings look perfect. We had used Doug many years ago when an A/C technician fell through one of our upstairs bedroom's ceiling. He did great work then and still does now!
